Anyone have an experience with MSI Gaming Intel B250 LGA 1151,

I can get it to recognize 4 GPUS, but thats it. On it's viewer in the Bios is see's the others as plugged in, but in Windows I can't get them to be recognized.

Which is the best ethereum pool for Claymore, i use coinotron, but my hash rate fluctuates too much, and my ethereum count on coinotron is slow compared to gnoil for example. Is it normal, i do prefer Claymore is the best, but my minining rate is slo with it, maybe is the pool?

Thanks

Best Pools:

For <500Mhs is ethermine.org  can set the payout
For >500Mhs is ethanol.org cannot set the payout, but gives uncles occasionally

Good Luck!

Thank you, i meant to say, best pool to work with Claymore, as i state i feel that claymore doesnt get well with coinotron.

Thanks
It is all same, luck changes so sometimes Coinotron is better. Go for pool closest to you, where you lose least shares.

Hello,

i have two rigs:

1. rig with 5 RX 480 8 GB sapphire nitro OC and today i add one 470 8gb. I make 177 mh, consuption is around 940 w/h( before it was 800w without rx470)

2. rig with 6 sapphire rx470 8 GB nitro OC with anoraks mode bios, i make 164 MHash, but consuption is around 920w/h, which is high if i compere with rig 1.

Do you think i can get less power for same hasrate?I mine only ethereum. I was looking on web page what to mine, but there is less power needed for a little less MH.

any advice? any custom rom suggestion, which is more power friendly Smiley

thank you for help

I have been playing with both Ubuntu and Windows, any of you has a preference as which one is better for mining?
As far as I can tell GPUs in Ubuntu run cooler, don´t know why, the average of shares reported is higher on the rig working with Ubuntu.
Call me stupid but for simplicity sakes I would like to work with Windows but with this results it looks like Ubuntu is the way.
Any of you has seen this behaviour with the rigs? I´m doing something wrong?
The working temperature difference between the rig from one OS to the other is really big

Does anyone know if there's a reason for my GPU's not being fully utilized when mining?

For example: My two Fury Nitro's clockspeed is set to 1050MHz (default). However, they're only mining at about 970MHz.

However, if I undervolt them, they get close to default, being at around 1030MHz - 1040MHz.

At first I thought that it might've been because of the PSU because it's on the edge of being too little. I've got an EVGA SuperNova G2 750W. However, when I removed one of the cards, the one that is left is still doing the exact same thing so it's not that it doesn't get enough power.

I tested the cards with MSI Kombustor to stress test them but that works fine at 1050MHz even with no undervolting.

Any idea why the cards don't mine at full clock, but close to max if undervolted - even though they get enough power?

As a side note I should mention that I've got an i5 6600K so the CPU isn't limiting them either.

Thanks!
Cards throttle due to power limit. Some activities take more power than others.  Dual mining is very power intensive. Cards used to just burn up when running programs such as Furmark, vendors started doing power limits to prevent damage.  Undervolting usually stops throttling like you have noticed.  You can also increase card power limit, at your own risk.

ANN: In 2-3 days I will release new version with assembler kernels for ETH+SIA and ETH+PASCAL modes, with similar speedup as for DCR.
Thanks however can you also add this feature for people who mine with both ZEC and ETH with your miners.
If a rig has 6 GPUs say ( 280X,280X,280X, 480, 480, 480)
The 280X usually mine ZEC and the 480 usually mine ETH
However if someone runs ZEC with the first 3 GPUs (GPU0, GPU1, GPU2) and runs ETH with the rest ( GPU3, GPU4, GPU5)
Then the second program ETH-Miner will incorrectly label the GPUs. Instead of GPU3,GPU4, GPU5, they will start at GPU0,GPU1,GPU2 and it will read the temperatures from the first 3 cards and not the latter 3 and if GPU0 from ZEC overheats, then GPU0 and GPU3 will also throttle (using TTLI)
THis is hard to explain, let me know if you need photos.

Use "-gmap" option to manage list of temps/fans.

Is there any reason to upgrade to 9.0 if you've got old GPUs? (280/290 etc)

Huge DCR performance boost on 290 when dual mining, you might be power limited though.

I've got a 5 GPU R9 290 Ref rig.. when I use dual mining with DCR.. my Eth mining goes from 31MHS to 24MHS... I've tried a lot of different -dcri settings.  Do you mind sharing your bat file?  Thanks!

Nothing special in my bat really, most likely your cards are throttling. Have you tried really low dcri? Monitor your core clocks when mining, are they steady at those clocks you set?

If not you need to do something to get power usage down.

Your wallet address is in the incorrect format. You need to put "0x" in front of it so your command string to start the miner should be as follows:

12:53:31:314   1908   args: -epool eth-us-east1.nanopool.org:9999 -ewal 0xb3995a07324ye6b0c8z61937fc36d430adcc6fa1 -epsw x -eworker -allpools 1

You can also add a worker ID and your email to be notified if your worker goes offline.

12:53:31:314   1908   args: -epool eth-us-east1.nanopool.org:9999 -ewal b3995a07324ye6b0c8z61937fc36d430adcc6fa1/WorkerID/[email protected] -epsw x -eworker -allpools 1

WOW...thanks SO much jackbox...I knew it had to be something so simple! That worked and shares are already being found!

Hey guys, I am new to Ether mining and the cryptocurrency community but am looking forward to the experience! I just got my rig built and am trying to get connected to Nanopool to start mining. I have read and read and then read some more before getting into this. I have followed the instructions to the best of my knowledge but can't seem to get Claymore to operate properly. Below is the most recent log from trying to run Claymore along with my current setup below that. What am I missing and what do I need to fix to get this best running? I am sure it is something so simple and I have just over analyzed my issue. Any help is much appreciated and thank you in advance for your knowledge and insight!

My hashrate fluctuates and is slightly lower than with a solo miner (genoil) but the Pascal Coin I am mining in dual mode is more than making up the difference. I tried mining DCR but all shares were rejected. With Pascal Coin on Nano pool I have had no rejected shares and also no rejected shares for Eth also on Ethermine.org pool.

That might be the case. Anyone else having speed issues with stock bios RX series?

yea look through the pages since the 9.0 release seem like RX's are suffering

my 2 rx480 arent very stable as yet i've still not found the best dcri value

While they may seem like they are suffering I did the math. I still made more money on 9 than 8 with my RX 480 dual mining. The increased performance from DCR was worth the fluctuating hashrate.
