Will the new update of the miner be today?  Smiley

No. I plan to release it tomorrow, need to check different drivers to improve compatibility.
ok, thanks for information )

Oh , the agony!!! To wait to be better at mining ZCash!! Cheesy

i have 1 of these and its a great psu for a multirail design u can find them around 100 sometimes on ebay this is about max what u can draw from 1 120v socket

LEPA G1600-MA ATX12V 1600W Gold PSU
http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story&reid=283
^Wow... 1596 watts available on the 12V rails alone. 133A.
lol

also has super low ripple the oem that made it is enermax
I dont like this PSU - bad 12V rail distribution.
see https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/LEPA/G1600-MA/2.html
"Power distribution on the modular panel is identical with the Platimax 1500 and is not ideal in my opinion. Normally 12V1 should power at least half of the peripheral/SATA sockets and not only the 24pin ATX connector. Also the first EPS connector is powered from a dedicated virtual rail, 12V2, so it could also feed the rest of the peripheral/SATA sockets. Two rails on only two connectors is an overkill while all other connectors have to share four rails.
Similar to the Platimax 1500 case, if you need to use the second EPS/ATX12V connector you should connect its cable either to the middle top socket or to the top right one, which is feed from 12V4 and 12V6 respectively. These rails provide power to a single 12pin socket (and to the peripheral ones) so you won't mix any PCIe connectors with this EPS, something that could lead to OCP activation in some cases. "

at NO stage it goes above this peak (760W) 2*480 + 4*470

don't confuse people.
I've got here 6 rx400 on 1KW doing just fine (the most intensive dual eth&sc takes up to 920W from the wall, ZEC is about 750W)

EDIT: undervolted to the very bottom ('bout 850mv), lowered core, 2K mem, bios mod

Actually if the miner to lunch without your under volt software you will get 1100+W watt from the wall .
I did a test run with 6 rx 470 4Gb Nitro flashed with modded bios , Core 1130 Mhz , memory 1900 Mhz with 1500 strap .
It had 1150+W at the wall using Evga 1300 G2 Gold .
Once the Wattool kicks in and it is down to 900W

You need to make sure that voltage adjustment software kick in before miner or set Bios offset

Before Wattool

After Wattol

Some Crap PSUs will be rated at 1KW and will shutdown before reaching 1KW at the wall , others have multi rail with power distribution

well... if you cannot "make sure that voltage adjustment software kick in before miner" you probably should not mine.

haven't kept up with the thread for quite some time.

any news when claymore will release an rx 4xx series enhancement version?

Hi. Anybody knows how to change voltage in polaris bios editor? I only see some strange numbers. I can undervolt my cards in afterburner but I think I can undervolt some more.
the "strange numbers" are offsets (I guess it has to do with the hex numbers negative being MSB = 1)
in any case you better not modify them - there's no reason to do so, as you can use watttool to set any value there, but this way you'll also keep the original voltage for your specific card as a reference or a safeguard...

UPDATE

I'm a bit late to the party, but I'm getting 260-267 h/s on 10 Sapphire Nitro+ rx 480 OC 8gb cards totaling 2580 - 2610 h/s (stock bios). According to GPU-Z, each card draws an average of 115w (core), but shows intermittent spikes no greater than the maximum specified power consumption for the card (225w). Running Windows 10 on both rigs with crimson V. 16.11.5 (this is the most recent update, that I've found, that will recognize a bios mod).

GPU Settings:

I could do 8 cards on the MSI Gaming 5 (7x PCI-e + 1x M.2 ---> PCI-e adapter), but the rig lost some stability once I went over 6x GPUs, even with enough power. The Gigabyte ga-z97x Gaming 7 can house 7 cards (6x PCI-e + 1x M.2 ---> PCI-e adapter), but as I said before, stability seemed to become more of an issue with more than 6x GPUs. Each rig has been running for about a week without any resets or crashes. Just in case the miner or machine does crash, I have made some simple .bash scripts to restore all of my settings and programs upon reset. I have also used the Windows Event Log and Manager to reset in the event of a freeze crash. So all in all, I plan to have 6 cards per rig and I'll probably have to add another PSU to the first rig when I reach that point.

*DAS IMPORTANT*

When it comes to power supplies, it is almost ALWAYS cheaper to buy 2x units and an adapter, than it is to shell out the money for even a 1200w PSU. My EVGA Supernova P2 1200w Platinum was about $220 (on sale), but I could have bought 2x  700w-850w PSUs + a convergence adapter for 2/3 the price. Also, Never purchase a PSU with a rating less than gold; it will save you both time and money in the long run.

*This is a great PSU reference guide. https://i.imgur.com/tgrbCnr.jpg

On a final note, I am aware that there are mods to allow for more than 4 GPUs on Windows 7 and more than 5 GPUs on Windows 8, but save yourself from a giant, time consuming pain in the d!

Cheers,
SweaterJacket

no need 4 win 10 its a 1min mod and u can buy great psu's for under 100 that are 1kw+ used on ebay all day either mod cheap server psus or buy oems or buy brand name like yours above me personally i only buy single rail psu's why im fond of the old pc power and cooling before ocz buy out but there are others but the pcp&c are great in low ripple super clean single rail i have 1kw-1200w ver of them 10 years old still kickin some r newer

I tried several drivers but no success on running more than 5 rx 470 on my win 7 rigs, lbr mod did work great for my 480 rigs but not 470.

If you have licensed version of windows, it will not be difficult for you to upgrade to windows 10 and forget about these problems forever.

All the gaming 5 MoBo's I have seen, have the original bios v1.1. I flashed mine to 1.4 and found it stable and left it there. I would suggest anyone building on this MoBo, go to MSI and take a look at the available firmware.

MSI Z97 Gaming 5 with an M.2 to PCI-e adapter.

I am running 7 GPUs on the gaming 5 .
I have seen some people trying that adapter  and trying the PCI-E splitter and both failed .

Does it have some special settings ?

From what I remember, someone got it working, but had to change some settings in the BIOS.
