I did some tweaks on both of my Tahiti (HD7950) cards and I get around 200H/s per card. Makes 400H/s in total. I'm pretty happy with these results.
Thanks Claymore for this great program. Keep up the good work!

can you post your tweaks?

I did some overclocking to make sure both cards would yield the same results in Catalyst 15.11. I increased the GPU and memory clock of one of the cards. As you can see this gives me 200H/s per card.

I've been thinking of trying two more things to increase the H/s:

- updating catalyst to the latest version
- Trying this:
http://www.overclock.net/t/1554360/tahiti-memory-timings-patch-for-hynix-vram
It seems there is a patch for the Tahiti Memory Timings which seems to increase the speed. Now, this is all a bit technical for me and I don't really know what it does exactly, but the results look promising. This only works for the Tahiti cards though (HD7950), like mine.

Yes, the mem timings patch does work indeed, but.. It depends on your card whether it is OK for you or not. This patch has different memory straps than my stock BIOS and Stilt timings that seem to be too much for my card.
I have re-branded 7950 i.e. R9 280 and I am running it at 1000/1500, undervolted. With timings patch it went from 185H/s to 195, but was not stable any more. Tried other clocks and voltages too, but no luck, it was able to mine couple of hours at best before stopping. Then I decided to do timings tweaks to my stock BIOS by myself and result is also 195H/s, but 100% stable. I was able to get 200 H/s with the same clocks and even tighter timings, but then it was again unstable. So I left it at 195, tested also other algos, real world apps and Furmark, all good. It would do over 200H/s with higher GPU clock, but I like to keep it cool and quiet. With 1000/1500 it works at ~65C with 36-39% fan speed.
With similar timings mod I was able to speed up R7 370 1175/1500 from 140H/s to 155 H/s and R9 290 1000/1250 from 275 H/s to 295 H/s.
I tested different driver versions with these mods and for me latest 16.12.1 drivers work the best. They are very slightly faster than 16.11.2 and 16.2.1 I used before, just 1-2 more H/s. Maybe it depends on BIOS mods, but for me 15.12 is 4-7 H/s per card slower than 16.12.1

I will release new version in 1-2 days. Not all cards will get speedup, but at least Hawaii and Polaris will.

Today Cheesy ?

That would be cool, it's possible. Would love another speedup.

I am planning on building a mining rig with more than 8 gpus. I've bought 1 to 4 pci express splitters but I had no luck getting the motherboards to boot with more gpus than the number of its actual physical pcie ports. (tried z87, h97, h81, b150). The person who sold these to me said he heard ASROCK X99 EXTREME supports up to 32 GPUS.
Now I've seen somewhere on the ethereum dual miner thread that somebody managed to use around 18?, i think, amd cards on linux, but I cannot find that post anymore.
Anyone have any info on this? Will a motherboard with X79 chipset be just as good, as they have the same number of lanes? Or it depends more on the bios ?They are rather expensive and I want to hear some opinions before I throw my money.

Most miner software doesn't support more than 8 cards. (hardcoded in the client). I ccminer sp-mod I support 32 cards, but NVIDIA only.

H81 can handle 7 gpus no problem, couldn't make it work w 8 in any way.

You are wasting your time, money and putting your entire system at risk both in terms of failure and ROI.

My R9 290 cards never left ETH as ZEC profitability on them was never enough higher to go through the hassle of moving those machines to WinDoze from LINUX.

strange is 390 faster than 290 on zec  or eth slower?
mine 390 is running nicehash  and it s 90% time on zec , it s more profitable on zec than ether (i discount the fees for zec in setting)

My HD 78xx cards are on ZEC as they're 2GB or less cards that don't handle ETH DAG size any more.

maybe not the 2GB problem   because my 380's are 2G too and running fine on ether

What hashrate can I expect with 7950 and what can I expect with 7970?

7970 is basically a R9 280x with slightly slower RAM.
7950 is basically a R9 280 with slightly slower RAM.

Hashrates will be near identical - SAME GPU chip between those card pairings.

 In re verjic's post:

My RX 470 cards are still on ZEC 'cause the profitability is still a bit higher in my case. They might play with XMR sometime this week to see what kind of hashrate I can get out of them on that.
My R9 290 cards never left ETH as ZEC profitability on them was never enough higher to go through the hassle of moving those machines to WinDoze from LINUX.
My R9 280x cards ARE still on ZEC and will probably stay there for a while.
My HD 78xx cards are on ZEC as they're 2GB or less cards that don't handle ETH DAG size any more.
My 77xx cards are still on ZEC and never could do ETH.
My 1070 cards are mostly still ZEC but starting to move to something "outside the entire basket" of ETH/ZEC/XMR/etc. that is their primary INTENDED usage.

Do keep in mind that electric cost is a significant factor in relative profitability on ZEC vs ETH vs XMR etc.
Your 'relative profitability" is not always the same as mine.

Yeah, that I know but can't find anything about the hash rates.
Or well 200sol/s for 7950 sounds about right. Maybe 220 for 7970 then?

It looks like only people with R9 290/390/280x remained on ZEC Smiley All others moved back to ETH

Nope, couple of 480's here mining ZEC, the difficulty is down so making the most of it.
Will hold out for a pump and dump, but not too worried.
It's all fun and games Smiley

Maybe some of you know, is it possible to use Claymore's manager to manage mixed Zcash, Eth/Etc & Cryptonote miners?

Where did you get "Claymore's manager" from?

Remote manager folder, EthMan.exe  Wink
