This thread is huge so my issue might already have a solution. I configured this version for my HD 5700 1GB. I know it's old and not that powerful, but it's what I have for now. When I start it, everything looks good until the starts actually attempting to mine,  I am getting an error message saying GPU #0 returned incorrect data: random 6 characters in all red. Tried rebooting, clean uninstall of drivers, reinstall latest AMD drivers, tried 15.12 drivers (weren't compatible with my video card) still not working.  Anyone else see this and/or have a fix?

Hello,
Here is my setup:
1 x R9 380x 04GB
1 x R9 280x 03GB
Windows 10 64bit
AMD latest driver 17.2
380x is about 200h/s, but 280x is at 290h/s.
Is there any problem with my setup?

Thank you!!!

280X should be faster. It has more memory bandwidth.

What hashrates are you guys seeing for an 8GB RX580 Windows 7? I'm curious to see if this ends up being more profitable than ether+decred mining. Thanks!

Depends on the card and the clock/voltage settings, you will get about ~320sol/s stable. You can use any profitability calculator to compare ETH/ZEC mining profitability, for example: whattomine.com

Hello there,

I'm mining with claymore's zcash 12.6 / 15.12 Crimson driver on an HD7850 2gb successfully with a little 160h/S.

On an other computer, I've got a HD7870 2gb, but Claymore's 12.6 doesn't want to mine/run/start:

Dos command line stay on "POOL VERSION" and nothing else happen, no connections to pool or whatever.

I've already tested a lots of things and all recommandations...AMD drivers versions...

So I've started to rollback claymore's version...12.5, 12.x, 11.x, 10.x, 9.x and finally...

Claymore's 8.0 beta is running "well":

Does someone have any idea of changes related to 8.0 -> 9.x versions ?
What are those "ADL: Cannot find any AMD adapters" in logs means ?

Thanks guyz for your help !

What is the speed for rx vega 64?

Just tested 12.6 with Vega 64 stock clocks. 450 h/s  Cry

That's disappointing. What is the temperature and watt at wall?

I keep getting a message saying "no AMD OPENGLGPUs found, exit". Does anyone know how to fix this?
If your running windows 10 and it's not working I had the same issue to fix it I had to go into windows defender and add ZCash miner to be allowed to run and install it defender was removing some file's needed for ZCash miner to run. And make sure your drivers didn't auto up date for your AMD Radeon software mine was doing it on it's own and would crash ZCash miner every time it updated the Radeon driver

Having hash rate issues mining Zcash on Supernova pool hash rate goes from 12,168 H/S and drops down to around 500-700 H/S every 1 to 1 1/2 mins ? I'm running 5 rigs on windows 10 Pro with 6 AMD furry x's in each rig using v12.6

Can anyone explain why Claymore found only 17 shares in the first 15 minutes of running and then when the DevFee kicked in it found 12 shares in 35 seconds?  (Zclassic)

EDIT:  this hour DevFee found nine shares in 49 seconds, this represents a rate more than four times that of the non-DevFee share rate.

From the FAQ section of the first post:

Q: Why do I see more shares for devfee than in my mining for the same time?
A: Most pools support variable diff, they change "target share" after some time after connection. For example, you have very powerful rig, after connection you will send shares very often. It takes some CPU time to check your shares so after some time pool will send higher share target and miner will send less shares (but they will have more value). When pool updates share target you will see "Pool sets new share target" line in the miner. This way pool can adjust the number of shares that miner sends and balance its load.
So check the log or console text to see current target for main mining thread and for devfee thread. For example:
DevFee: Pool sets new share target: 0x0083126e (diff: 500H) - this is for devfee mining connection
Pool sets new share target: 0x0024fa4f (diff: 1772H) - this is for main mining connection
As you can see, target share for main mining is higher in about 3.5 times, so for main mining miner sends in 3 times less shares (but they have 3x more value) than for devfee mining.

12.6 is waste of time, no increase performance, rather decrease of hashrates and crashes.
12.5 still the best
