What is the speed for rx vega 64?

I get 519h/s with single watercooled RX Vega 64 8GB on stock. Driver 17.9.1 CM 12.6

regards

Gary

That is quite good. But it is still worse than the nVidia 1080Ti.

 For the power usage it's pretty BAD - and slower than many GTX 1080 much less getting completely blown out of the water by any 1080ti.

 On the other hand, there are reports that Vega does well on Monero (XMR) mining.

This thread is huge so my issue might already have a solution. I configured this version for my HD 5700 1GB. I know it's old and not that powerful, but it's what I have for now. When I start it, everything looks good until the starts actually attempting to mine,  I am getting an error message saying GPU #0 returned incorrect data: random 6 characters in all red. Tried rebooting, clean uninstall of drivers, reinstall latest AMD drivers, tried 15.12 drivers (weren't compatible with my video card) still not working.  Anyone else see this and/or have a fix?
Try raising the voltage a bit, or downclocking the memory......amd has driver issus's for older cards, even with cars such as 7970(special one's, with custom onboard h/w controllers)....sometimes they freeze for no appperent reason.....it is something to do with the memory controller/software control....It is not fixed in ages.

Any coin using the same algorithm as ZCash should be mineable by any "ZCash" mining software.

 Just need to point at the correct pool or wallet for THAT coin.

ok TY, must set using -allpools 1. And get different report when using claymore zcash get - diff, but if using mxminer get + diff ( i don't why ). And the hashrate get different at watt to.. with claymore using R9 290 get 295 sol 225w, with mxminer get 295 sol with 90w ( hope somebody can explain what the different where the more valueable ) TY.  Grin

Hello Claymore.
I pinged you the other day about an issue with the amdgpu driver : https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.21024709
Well, after trying to run another OpenCL program today, I discovered that I wasn't using amdgpu but the old radeon driver (needed the "amdgpu.si_support=1" kernel parameter)...

Sorry for the trouble, everything is perfect, the miner works like a charm  Cool

Would it be possible to DUAL mine ZEC+SIA / PASC / DCR / LBC? soon...? is this possible. if not, why?..
ETH is memory intensive while these are core intensive so they are able to be dual mined. ZEC uses both core and memory.

hi

i'm a newbie to this.

just started mining and have newbie question

when i was mining ethereum (same set, same gpu's, same everything) i was getting 26 Mh/s

now i'm mining zcash (same set, same gpu's, same everything) i'm getting 600 H/s

can some one explain it

thanks

 Different algorithms, OF COURSE you don't see the same hashrate.

Why 16.12.2 as recommended driver version, since that is one of the "doesn't support BIOS modded version" drivers?

 I'd recommend 16.9.2 for RX 4xx series, don't have anything more recent to test on - though the 16.10.1 and 16.9.1 versions also worked well on the RX 4xx, 16.9.2 seems to offer better support for older cards and matches the hashrate almost identically to 15.12 on R9 3xx and older GCN cards (though it's more of a memory and resource hog than 15.12)

 For Nvidia other than the 1080ti TitanXp and perhaps the TitanX, 373.06 seems to be the "go to" driver.
 The 1080ti and second-gen Pascal version of the Titan need something newer, 378.something as I recall.

That is right. My HD 7970 and R9 390 cards work well with 16.9.2.

The R9 nano does not work on 16.9.2, but it works well on 16.3.2.

Some of my testing on 16.9.2 a few months back included one each HD 7750, HD 7870, R9 280x and I think R9 290, as well as a couple of RX 470 cards.

 Given the bloatware status of the entire Relive series, 16.9.2 is my go-to version for RX series cards (which unfortunately I'm pretty sure means I can't use RX 5xx series cards and Vega is Right Out).

My GPU is AMD R9 M370X. Optiminer Zcash works fine.

I'm using this variable:

GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT = 100;
GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR =1
GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE=100
GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS=1
GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT=100

Does this miner shows rarely output hashrate? How can I decrease recheck delay? Or did it show rarely because of this error?
