Seeking to improve Rx 480 performance.

- SAPPHIRE NITRO+ (100406NT+4GOCL) RX 480 4GB model with V9  runs at 220 H/s at factory  core 1306 / mem 1750  ( I think I can do better )

I tried pushing the mem over 2000 to duplicate other settings I saw posted on this thread but the PC crashed.
Card was headless so I plugged a monitor to it, same speed.  (ULPS is disabled for the card)

I have a Sapphire Fury running on same PC at 330 H/s using V9.

I see lots of references to bios mod's is the outcome the same as manually setting the Core and memory clocks in trixx or msi afterburner ?

Also I recall back in the day of Silt bios modes AMD was using signed bios's so it was reported to be impossible to modify bios without have a certificate to re-sign the bios file. Did AMD that drop that requirement ?

The main problem with an no Linux version Clay hates using Linux and I'm sure he would rather have it were he could program one version of Linux and been done with it, is the drivers, the AMD Linux drivers for Ubuntu 16 or the newer LinuX OS that need that driver, the driver atm does not support all the cards yet that the AMD windows version does , so that a lone make things a lot easier to do program wise for windows, i know others will say it's this or that but I'm willing to bet once the AMDPROGPU driver supports all the cards the AMD windows version does you will see one .

The drivers for LINUX support the same cards as the Windows drivers do at this point, and have done so for months - though they DO tend to lake a couple weeks to a month behind the Windows drivers.

Claymore really should learn to work with LINUX more, I'm willing to bet that a MAJORITY of the mining machines in existance run LINUX and he's losing out on significant income by not supporting LINUX better or at all.

NVidia support would be nice, but that's always been more of a Genoil sort of thing - and there aren't anywhere near as many NVidia cards used for cryptocoin mining.

Claymore knows Linux, he doesn't like it. He did support Linux with ZEC, before the haters.  This is hands down the best ZEC miner, so anyone who cares to use it will use Windows. If you want to run Linux, he has other miners that support Linux. The majority probably run Windows, except giant farms, and Chinese. Watch the hashrate increases every new CZM release. Linux does support new cards, but not features like changing clocks and volts, so it is subpar anyway.  It's easy to run Windows, so why spend so much time wishing?

Claymore has a full mining speed from the start(v1) .no one sees but my?
He simultaneously works with pools and exchanges and zcash team.
Look at the Poloniex pump and dump and release of new miners (time)
His job is to prevent too large price decrease.Price now is unreal high.
There is no race.everything is pre-planned.
Slow start is over. There is still one final release, and that's it.
One more pump and price go down.(because he does not hurry with the latest version)
Game is over.

And....it's happening

you know, could just walk away from zec.

so what? he deserves it.
he could not give us miner at all and we would b e still minign with 200 sols on 5 cards.

That's it, all rigs are on V9, let's see how stable it will work, only one rig out of 94 turned off, I will check it tomorrow.

Also I wanted to ask about the benefits of ssl connection for mining ?

Was 9.0 the last one or will you make another one!  Roll Eyes <3 Claymore!
Good question. We need an answer. I am wondering if he can get some more hashes out of hd7950 and especially from rx470 and rx480

v9.0 is not the last version, further speedup is possible. But don't expect another +30% in a couple of days please Smiley

Dude you are the best i hope you know it!  Roll Eyes

It's funny how fast a new function in a miner generates requests for features which were sleeping for years :-)

I've opened an SSL port as well:

ssl://zec.suprnova.cc:2242

can be used for Claymore 9 and you'll have a fully encrypted mining connection to suprnova as well.
That's a good news OCminer  Grin very nice improvement !

Getting +- 1600 h/s with 7 Sapphire Nitro+ rx 480 8gb stock. That's about 230 h/s each. Fuck ya Claymore!

what the hell is that?

That is simple protection for my GPU binaries, you use some env var(s) that can dump them. I'm sure you use it by accident.
Remove this GPU-related environment variable(s) and it will work.

Havent set anything except for the usual GPU MAX ALLOC stuff.
