Ii'm currently doing 1030 sols on 4 x rx480 nitro + 1 x 4x470 nitro - all 4gb.
With 650 w at wall for whole pc.

You are running about 700 watts.... Yes it will run but not long

I can only conclude that Claymore's has reached peak of the Everest with v9.....
.... OR is there a v10 coming beyond the horizon?

Bugfixes mostly if i had to guess.

---- winter*juvia -----
Some of my rigs crashes more with v9 maximum intensity so had to reduce intensity or revert back to v8 as last resort.

Some of the stronger rigs (bigger PSU, etc) are hashing perfectly with v9.

One of my R9-Nanos hit 350H/s with maximum intensity but power went up too.

I dont mind this mix and match of v8 and v9 under the solid Ethman.

The total hash for my small farm is beyond my expectations -- thanks to Claymore hardwork.

5x470 v8.0->900H/s v9.0->1030H/s nice speed up!!! but...

1000W Navitas gold with 4 undervolted, underclocked (1200/950) 470-s it crashes. i try start v9.0 miner with power limit -35 and -i 4 but no changes, after 1-20 min work system turn off. temporary back to v8.0, with 5x470(~1280/990 -i 6) work stable

5 year old Tagan TG500-U33 with athlon 64 x2, 2Gb ram and 2x290 v9.0 -i 8 ~500H/s cvoltage -37 powlimit+10 1070core/1300mem work absolutly stable  Grin

Same here for R9 390. I had to reduce the freuquency quite a lot. The v9 uses a 3% more energy and 5% more hash.

I'm running 4 R9390 gigbyte G1's on a coolermaster 1500w on Claymore v9.0, no problems with core clock at 1100 with very little rejected shares and 297-299H/s.

Can i have 1 rx 470 4gig, 2 rx 480 8gig on a 750w power?

Yes, I think if you under-volt you could even run 4 cards off of a 750 watt PSU. Most of my RX470 and RX480's only differ about 10 watts from each other when measured at the wall. I can dial in the RX470's to only pull about 140 Watts each mining Zcash and 150 Watts each while mining Ethereum. The RX480's do the same at about 150 Watts and 160 Watts respectively. These are at-the-wall measurements including the system (mobo, RAM, CPU) draw, as I usually run 5 GPU rigs and divide the total system draw by 5 to get these values.

A typical 5x RX470 rig of mine draws no more than 750 watts total, so in theory you could run 5 cards with your PSU, but in practice it is best to only run a PSU at 80-90% of its maximum load. So in your case you are looking at a system total of between 600 and 675 watts which 4 cards would put you safely within. This is especially true considering at-the-wall measurements also reflect the PSU overhead, or more correctly (in)efficiency, so this reading is usually 7-15% higher than the delivered power. Now with all this said, these readings are after tweaking power settings, so you want to make sure you do this as you add in cards, as stock mining settings might push these values higher. Most quality PSUs can go beyond there rating for a short while, but for 24/7 operation you will want to keep the load within that 80-90% range.

Can i have 1 rx 470 4gig, 2 rx 480 8gig on a 750w power?

Yes!!

Okey nice even a gtx 750 ti on that?  Wink

Claymore miner for ZCash does not work on nVidia cards.

I know that but i just want that one to game on and watch movies and so you think 750w can handle 4 cards?

If you undervolt, the 480 will use about 140W and 470 120W, so the total is 400W, You can add the 750 witout problem.

Okey thx alot!

I have 4 RX480 and a 750ti on a 850w PSU which is a 80 Plus Gold, you might be pushing it but it should be fine. It draws 670w at peak.

Intensity parameter "-i 8" does not change anything for me, except that increased temperature a couple of degrees.

Well, my Platimax 1200 has problems ( freezes ) with 6 480's. No problem with 5 of them. PM shows 850 - ish @ the wall so not registering spikes

With Corsair PSUs, using corsair link it is quite easy to see the spikes. With v9, there's some wonky things going on at the same v8 intensity levels.

Can you post a screenshot of your graph, is it similar to this?

(RM1000i with 6 RX480s in this rig)

which software you use for this graph?

edit: downloaded Corsair Link  but cannot find option for graph like on your picture

Tahiti still rules. Power efficiency? NO. Compute efficiency? YES Smiley

Old news and it's been this way for a long time. Newer gen cards are producing similiar hash rates and using considerably less power.

Exactly. Still, looking at those figures I feel Ellesmere should be doing something like 250-260 h/s at 1050 MHz. Or there is some Open CL catch that is holding compute performance at lower levels? All this masqueraded by higher GPU and MEM clocks .......

This probably isn't the best way or most accurate to measure power usage but im too lazy to hookup the Kill-a-watt.
