Yep, 7950 can do something like 110-120 H/s I guess

Actually the 7950/280x is by far the best card for zcash. They cost $80 and can do 180 h/s easily constantly.

This is without mods. 110=120hash was like version 5 man. Need download version 7 for 180hash

This is true with modded bios.
7950 165 sols
280x 180 sols
rig with 1 7950 & 2 280x 510-520sol/s @ 610-620watts from the wall. system idle 175-190watts.

someone to share h/s with Claymore 7.0 R7 370 . my hash rate is 520h/s with 6 R7 370 2Gb
thenks.

I get about 85 - 90 on mine.  Overclocked to 1125 / 1500 power -15 in Afterburner.  One runs at about 80C and the other around 70C (I have it set as -tt 80 - tili 85 -tstop 90) and the fan runs about 60% (I want to improve my cooling, but it is very stable right now).

So, it sounds like you are in the ballpark with 87 per card.

As Claymore said, in 2-3 days. Don't await miracles.

Again: dual mining is not possible for ZEC because it uses both GPU cores and memory intensively.
About new version: it takes more and more efforts to achieve more speed, so I cannot release new versions every day now. Also don't expect +50% speedup anymore, only 15-30% is possible in total.

i'm looking to add another another card to my measly one r9 280.  is there much difference in sols between a 470 8gb & 480 8gb card?

RX470 ~160 H/s
RX480 ~175 H/s

Claymore v7, intensity setting (-i) 4

Not too much difference yet. 470 is cheaper and more efficient than 480.

RX470-4GB --> 171H/s
draw 210W from the wall.
single gpu with intel core i3.
im sure if i put 5 gpus it will reduced a bit.

470 is more efficient at this time.

What is the hash rate on SAPPHIRE NITRO Radeon R9 Fury ? should I go with 470 or NITRO Radeon R9 Fury

Radeon R9 Fury soon will be on sale http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202186&ignorebbr=1

I have that card.  The stock hash rate is 238 - 240, 225 @ 155w at the wall if you undervolt -100 and power limit -45%

I have also the 470 4GB Nitro, and it does 155~ Hashes.
I would kindly ask you if you could you post your .rom here please using ati flash.
Would be amazing! Smiley

Sorry, I was referring to the fury. Don't have a 470

I just came across my old 7950 in storage. What numbers are people seeing on 2-3 GB Vapor-X 7950? Worth running?

Do I have to do a movie of the RIG + kill a watt for you to trust me ? Cheesy

I don't have fury's or nano's to play with but after what I have seen with hawaii and latest claymore I don't need to see any videos...

lol yeah i dont buy it 125 watt from a fury ? gimme a break lol
My basement is a little messy and the rig case is home made wooden "ghetto style" rig Smiley
But the proof that you can do great things with R9 Fury with only 125W per card.
https://youtu.be/Y86VLJirwN8

PS : I shutdown the old rig with the 7970, so the kill-a-watt is only for the Fury RIG

Trade that wood for aluminum and never look back. I can't stand people using "fuel" for heat containment.

Figured that might be the answer. Or simply that it's sort of pointless due to memory congestion to this point where mixing the algos to this point that dual use offer to profit increase over single algo mining.

Also don't expect jumps as precious. I would expect there is maybe a total 30-40% optimization left in Zcash total looking at power usage and Mem bandwidth. And that's probably only true for high end cards such as 290x390x over 470 due to hardware architecture.

I'm also not an idiot and realize that if you can make extra money pre-runninf a private farm for a while you will prob take the extra paycheck. I don't even think it's unethical.

Not to mention any further optimization will come at cost of power usage and CPU time.

I personally think the next "wave" will be if someone drops the some on equihash ASIC. But that's prob 10 months away and $5 mil. Possibly FPGA before that but not "life changing" from what I can figure with Xlinix and dram modules.

Thank you for your excellent work.

Claymore, have there been any specific RX 4xx optimizations?  It feels like the gap between 290x is quite large on ZEC vs. ETH.  Keep up the good work, your fee is worth every BTC  Grin Grin

15-30% is a big improvement... no need to be hurry.. take your time man... I hope you enjoy your work as much as we miner enjoy mining (as long as it is profitable of course  Grin )

Keep up the great work man! You Roooockkk!!

What I meant th00ber is right here. My lousiest 295x2 with spare psu is currently 234w at the wall. Needs bios mod to go below 0.85V.

You can achieve easy with and 480X over 200 H/s.

What you need? Not the 15.12 Driver Smiley A newer one. Runs stable for me.

And a custom MOD BIOS (I used them for ETH, also increase the ZCash Hashrate).
Power consumption ?
Because a good custom RX 480 8G are the same price that R9 Fury

If I remove the power limit and let the card go for 200W, they are hashing to 245-265 H/s depending of the cards
R9 Fury are also often better in others algo (32MH/s ETH + 800 SC at stock without powerlimit)

Fury cards are stupid power hungry though and most require 8 and six pin connectors
Wow ... "stupid power hungry", any data about your judgment ?
as I said, mine are doing 225-230 H/s with a 120W restriction (1.9 H/W)
If your RX 480 can achieve the 180 H/s it seems they do with 95W at wall (not on GPU-Z), then RX 480 and Fury will have the same efficiency. And even with that, I'll pick the Fury for the higher perf.

I don't know why people are bashing R9 Fury, they are really way cheaper now.
In my country a Custom RX480 8G and Sapphire R9 Fury Tri-X are sold the same price.

As you said, may the PCI-E connectors need can be an argument if your PSU don't have enough.
But IMHO, the power consumption of a Fury is not an argument to bash them

Youre kidding right ? the non nano Fury cards have a TDP of 300watts, the nanos have a TDP of 220 and will pull more than that amount when going full bore, I have some Nanos so i know how much actual watts they draw.  The 4X cards have a TDP of half that and use about half the amount of power of the furys, 14nm proccess will do that.

setting a limit on the sofware of 120W does not stop the card from drawing far more power when it is mining, check your wattmeter and your power bill for your REAL power draw.

http://wccftech.com/amd-radeon-fury-x-specs-fiji/

a fury has a higer TDP than a 290x there is no way you will convince me a fury uses 120 watts to get 225 h/s when a 290 non X uses 200 watts to do 200 h/s

He is close...Mine use 155w at the wall for 225h/s
