Do I have to do a movie of the RIG + kill a watt for you to trust me ? Cheesy

I don't have fury's or nano's to play with but after what I have seen with hawaii and latest claymore I don't need to see any videos...

Youre kidding right ? the non nano Fury cards have a TDP of 300watts, the nanos have a TDP of 220 and will pull more than that amount when going full bore, I have some Nanos so i know how much actual watts they draw.  The 4X cards have a TDP of half that and use about half the amount of power of the furys, 14nm proccess will do that.

setting a limit on the sofware of 120W does not stop the card from drawing far more power when it is mining, check your wattmeter and your power bill for your REAL power draw.

http://wccftech.com/amd-radeon-fury-x-specs-fiji/

a fury has a higer TDP than a 290x there is no way you will convince me a fury uses 120 watts to get 225 h/s when a 290 non X uses 200 watts to do 200 h/s

737W at wall with kill-o-watt.
1600W Gold PSU (so loaded @ ~50% --> 92% efficiency)
Wich means 682W on PSU
I remove 50-60W for the CPU/RAM/HDD/MOBO

So let's say 625W for the cards
625 / 5 = 125 W per cards for 230 H/s

Looks like you need to play more with clocks. You can underclock and undervolt heavily without loosing so much hash.

v7 uses too much CPU compard to ie v6 - imo that should be fixed in 7.1

Lower the intensity setting. Default is 4 but 0 uses no CPU:

You can achieve easy with and 480X over 200 H/s.

What you need? Not the 15.12 Driver Smiley A newer one. Runs stable for me.

And a custom MOD BIOS (I used them for ETH, also increase the ZCash Hashrate).
Power consumption ?
Because a good custom RX 480 8G are the same price that R9 Fury

If I remove the power limit and let the card go for 200W, they are hashing to 245-265 H/s depending of the cards
R9 Fury are also often better in others algo (32MH/s ETH + 800 SC at stock without powerlimit)

Fury cards are stupid power hungry though and most require 8 and six pin connectors
Wow ... "stupid power hungry", any data about your judgment ?
as I said, mine are doing 225-230 H/s with a 120W restriction (1.9 H/W)
If your RX 480 can achieve the 180 H/s it seems they do with 95W at wall (not on GPU-Z), then RX 480 and Fury will have the same efficiency. And even with that, I'll pick the Fury for the higher perf.

I don't know why people are bashing R9 Fury, they are really way cheaper now.
In my country a Custom RX480 8G and Sapphire R9 Fury Tri-X are sold the same price.

As you said, may the PCI-E connectors need can be an argument if your PSU don't have enough.
But IMHO, the power consumption of a Fury is not an argument to bash them

About new version: it takes more and more efforts to achieve more speed, so I cannot release new versions every day now. Also don't expect +50% speedup anymore, only 15-30% is possible in total.

Could you please add new unit for zcash hashes in your Remote Manager?

If you mean coin name, check latest EthMan (v2.5), it already has "ZCash" option when you select coin name. Also you can type own coin name if you want.
If you mean MH/KH selection, use KH/s for ZCash, what's the problem?

Again: dual mining is not possible for ZEC because it uses both GPU cores and memory intensively.

Big thanks Claymore for your work! We believe you will do your best!

P.S.
May be you will tell us when we could expect new version? in a day, in 2 days or may be till the end of this week? Huh

I think I will release new version in 2-3 days.

What about this GPU disabling/enabling? On one GPU we have all 0..9 enable/disable. Threads or what?

What do you mean exactly?

I am having a bit of trouble running a command in the bat for different intensity levels on 2 cards. One card runs a good bit higher in temp and i wanted to run that at a lower intensity level.

Can someone provide a example command line of how to run two cards on two different intensity levels?

This is what i try but it fails to work right...

ZecMiner64.exe -zpool zec.suprnova.cc:2142 -zwal miner -zpsw pwpw -r 0 -mport 0 -i 4,0 -1 3,1

Should i put the GPU # before the intensity or what am i doing wrong here?

-i   mining intensity. Possible values: 0...4. 0 - lowest intensity and CPU usage, 4 - maximal intensity. You can also specify values for every card, for example "-i 4,2,4". Default value is "4".

-i  4,2,4  would =  i 4 for gpu0, i 2 for gpu1, i 4 for gpu2

the gpu # are not used in the command   first i# is for gpu0, 2nd i# is for gpu1, and so on

ZecMiner64.exe -zpool zec.suprnova.cc:2142 -zwal miner -zpsw pwpw -r 0 -mport 0 -i 4,3

Ah i see, that is where i was going wrong. Figured i had to specify a value for each GPU as well. Thanks a ton.

i'm looking to add another another card to my measly one r9 280.  is there much difference in sols between a 470 8gb & 480 8gb card?

RX470 ~160 H/s
RX480 ~175 H/s

Claymore v7, intensity setting (-i) 4

Not too much difference yet. 470 is cheaper and more efficient than 480.

RX470-4GB --> 171H/s
draw 210W from the wall.
single gpu with intel core i3.
im sure if i put 5 gpus it will reduced a bit.

470 is more efficient at this time.

What is the hash rate on SAPPHIRE NITRO Radeon R9 Fury ? should I go with 470 or NITRO Radeon R9 Fury

Radeon R9 Fury soon will be on sale http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202186&ignorebbr=1

I love my Fury !!
Powerlimited to 125W, they run at 220-230 H/s

And in France you can buy them new for 279€
I got 7 of them ... so much love to thoses cards !! Smiley

Do not buy Fury for mining. They are too expensive and are not as efficient as the new generation cards.

Ok Thanks.
What do you recommend? maybe RX480-8GB, RX470-4GB or something else?

And dual mining zec/zcl?

That would be pointless; no benefit at all.
You do realise that you can mine both? Why would you want to do it at the same time?

This will mine either ZEC or ZCL depending on what is most profitable:

If you mean MH/KH selection, use KH/s for ZCash, what's the problem?

I think miners must send to EthMan info about current algo it works. It would be extremely comfortable.
