Remove the -nofee option. Devs deserve to be paid for their work. Especially those that enable decentralization and make home mining viable.

And you mind paying DEV?

Thank you so much Mr. Claymore for your work

Now i have +380h/s for 6 x RX480 Saphirre 8 GB REF, and a G1840 celeron with stock settings and -i 1 for ~850-880 W in power consumption

If someone know the settings for use less power without change the BIOS, only with Wattman or afterburner, it will be thanked with little tip Smiley
Just core voltage 50-100mv each card, check for stability.  Sometimes can go more, varies with card.  I could go as low as 960mv on some cards dual mining, typically ~1000-1020 always works.

Nice. How fast is the miner with the -nofee option? Is it half of the speed like in the silent army kernel?

I think he said 5% less speed, its usually what he throttles it with nofee set

But Claymore. Maybe some more options for -i parametr.

I got 6x R9 390 in a rig. And whe use -i 2 I got 100% CPU load, -i 1 I got 100% CPU load and -i 0 I got 25-33% CPU load.
I cant load my CPU correctly.

Same here.
We need a -i 0.5  Grin

Dual core celeron club ?  count me in lol
I get ~77-85% CPU usage on G1840 celeron with 4x 470 8GB cards with -i2.  Similar usage per card on low end APU.  Think it is more of issue with single core, or 6 card rigs.  It would be nice to have more choices though, like make it 0-5.

4 card is ok for G1840, more is 100% load and loose of hs.
I didnt get any difference betwin -i 1 and -i 2.

v4.0:

- improved speed by about 20% (depends on card model). Up to 100H/s on stock 390X on "-i 2" mode.
- added "-retrydelay" option.
- added "-nofee" option.
- various bug fixes.
- changed coloring.
- EthMan: added "View miner console" command.

@Claymore: You're truly legend. Thanks so much

Hi Claymore,

I'm using your ETH/ZEC linux miner (ETH since a long time).

I really appreciate your work on both project.

I'm happy to be able to customize my configuration of the miner easily.

I'm currently stucked with the 1.1 ZEC linux miner... It's hard to see other people on Windows having 25-40% more than you.

I know people say sad thing, and to be honest, mainly of us don't care about this.

We just want continue to use claymore WITH dev-fee, because you are doing a win-win (more hashrate, more income, that's normal to pay you).

If you don't want share linux release code with troller, just pm me a link  Grin

Hope you will understand

Cheers

He won't send you the source code.

Just install Windows 10, its FREE for 30 days and in 30 days I am sure there will be a linux miner.

No idea why Windows people never want to install Linux
and Linux people never want to install Windows.

I dual boot both OS's and I can even switch which OS to load while being headless by updating grub thru SSH.
I don't like to use Linux because in general it is a royal pain to set things up.  I would use it to get 6 cards on ASrock H81 BTC PRO boards, but when I set up, was dual mining, and can't undervolt in Linux.  Some cards I can bios mod, so I could do it now, I just don't want to mess with it, and Win7 can do 5 cards with some MB Bios changes. I have used it before from time to time, and tried getting it going on HTPC, but ran into too many issues.  Also When Ubuntu changed to new garbage UI, turned me off more. I know you can switch window managers, or use diff distro, but that's also more work.  If I wasn't as busy, and have 5 kids, I would consider it more.  I use Ubuntu Server VMs for work some though (web/android dev).  So not against it, I just use what works best for me.

Claymore i want pay you 4% fee for newer version of ZCASH miner Smiley
I have no problem with fee, its your work and if someone doesnt like it - dont use it.
Its clear market law.
Please reconsider making linux updates Sad

-nofee option - GREAT CHOICE !
If someone doesnt like fee then he could turn it off but mining slower.
No more trolls  which would like to get EVERYTHONG for NOTHING ....
You are people so angry and so selfish .... its terrible that we live in so corrupted and unpleasnt world ....
Its a shame.

Is it easy to get to grips with?

We want to pay a fee. Just not 2.5%. We want to pay 1% fee.
As always, I will reduce my fee when a miner with similar speed is available. Though I'm not sure that you will really notice 1.5% gain which you want.
We were there up to your version 2.0, but it's kind of hard to keep up with you.  :-)
My most recent ideas in theory should get as high as 150sol/s on a Rx 480.

I don't like Linux, so I used Genoil's miner to see the speed. May be it shows same speed on Polaris, but I tested it on 390X card. Two Genoil's miner instances showed me about 30H/s, my first version shows about 50H/s. You can check it easily. May be on Linux or on different GPU situation is different, I did not check it, but >90% people saw that my v1.0 is much faster than SA engine. Though 10% saw that speeds are similar or SA is better, they all use Linux, so may be it's the reason.
So I reached 100H/s on my favorite 390 cards but it can show even more speed.
I think there is more of a difference between drivers on Linux.  Maybe speed difference also people with different CPUs?  Some have posted their personal optimizations, but it is hard to judge typical speeds for sure.

I tested it on i7 3770 CPU so I don't think that CPU was a problem... I can test it again but have no time...
