@Socket54 , i think you are having problem with the power draw...check cables and everything....if you elemenate all problems with cabling, try mesuaring inside you PSU, capacitors etc with multimeter

@CharNoir , try with significant downclock on the memory of the problematic card, or maybe slight downclock, you can check what are the best settings after a while...for exemple, my 7970 is stable on 1300 Mhz (patched bios) , but sometimes i can run for hours with 1315 Mhz....

I got it worked out thus far. Rig has been running smoothly since yesterday evening. Here is the power draw readout. from my Corsair RM1000i.
With 2x reference XFX RX480, 1x XFX RX 580 GTR black edition.

Software is rubbish at measuring the actual power usage of your rig.

What? Have you every used a Corsair power supply? I don't think so......

It is best to install a wireless card in a not all together.
Remove all wireless card, leaving only the first GPU. Take the installation CD. After mining test run with a single. If you work adds another GPU and repeat the process four times. Sometimes it takes awhile to recognize.

Does anyone know if there is a known problem running Fury X with older AMD GPUs? I can run my 4x 7950s just fine and adding the Fury X I see it on the Device Manager but once I install 16.3.2 driver I get BSOD. Most driver hang on install. I tried to install manually and still same problem. Windows installed 16.6 but Fury X would show 0 Sol/s.

ok reinstalled drivers and restarted and it works now. my next question is what are the best drivers for the 480? and just got a new motherboard has 3 pci express slots I can use. would I be able to run my 390x, rx 250 and possibly one of my nvidia cards or my 480 on a 850 watt power supply?

this miner does not start up for me. it is strange how some of you have 480's at least it runs. I cannot get it running wonder if there are other miners that will give the same speed

Do you have proper drivers?

the current version is running at the highest speed ? Most efficient or fastest, and temperature ?

Yes, this is the best Zcash miner for AMD. Nothing else even comes close.

Agreed.... I'm getting 295 H/s average on oc'd 7950s, and average 310 H/s on 280x! Very impressive.

My rx 470s get about 260.... seems kinda lame, but I'm looking into modding the vbios to raise that. Much less energy used by 470s.

After I finally stabilized my overclocks... I haven't had one hiccup with v12.4. It is actually (i've found) 2-3% faster than v12.3, though I don't think this was highlighted as a change by Claymore. Very stable, have fun!

Agreed! Only time my miner stops it's because of me. The miner has never failed yet after running for weeks.

Claymores miner is reading my RX 580 as a RX 480. I have 2 RX 480's as well.  Is this normal?

It is normal.

Ok thank you. I just got this RX 580 in today, the XFX 580 GTR black edition.

After a few minutes i get the error "GPU 0 hangs in OpenCL call, exit"
In which miner then attempts to restart but doesnt.

I think, ok maybe i need to bump up the virtual memory size from 16,000 to 32,000.
Still doesn't work. Same "GPU 0 hangs in OpenCL call, exit" repeats.

So what i did then was take out the 2 RX 480's to see if it will mine on just the RX 580 which it ran fine.

What do you suppose the issue could be?

EDIT 1:Also noticed this in red on the miner just now: GPU #0 returned incorrect data! 208533

EDIT2: downclocked GPU0(RX 580 btw) to 1385, ran for longer. Then GPU1 hung up and  "GPU 1 hangs in OpenCL call, exit" occurs.

Re-Install drivers

Update: I installed the new drivers(17.5.1), the errors and "hangs in OpenCL call" replicated itself in GPU 1 again.
So i decided to rework my setup, putting one RX 480 riser USB attachment in the pci-e slot 2, the RX 580 is installed in the pci-e slot without a riser 1 and the other RX 480 riser attachment in the smaller x2 slot i think its called. Now up and running smoothly for the past 30 minutes so far without any errors reported.

I haven't tried the new 17.5.1 driver - but I was having a similar issue. Always GPU 1 - in all 4 machines that I had. It was weird. They were all RX580's and until I did this - https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/cracked-run-6-rx-580s-in-windows-10-1900035 - Once I did this driver trick using an older driver, it stopped.
