Ok, this money was a perfect loan with negative interest rate, but I think it's time give back our money. Don't you?
Oh, and bitcoin loans doesn't work the same way as the loans you find for fiat - for one everyone can be sure I'm not using the money as they've not moved at all before being refunded.
Whew, finally got it refunded. Had a problem with sending the rawtx's out as apparently the tx'es were quite large this time (100+ separate outputs).

I confirm that the address below belongs to me, and I'll process the refund ASAP when I have 1-2 hours in hand. (probably tonight) I submitted the refund request about 3-4 times, and finally changed the refund address when Avalon wasn't doing anything after 1 week.
Hopefully we can get this settled soon...

Well, I think it is done using a simple script - just matter of checking if all data is correct
Script like:
bitcoind walletpassphrase ...
bitcoind sendtoaddress
bitcoind sendtoaddress
bitcoind sendtoaddress
etc...
You can use excel to generate this script from the list of buyers in 5 minutes
I use the sendmany command. This puts the entire refund in 1 transaction.
I don't know how to make Excel emit a ready to go command, I still do a bit of hand editing.

I'm not sure I can say the same for the other group buy I'm in. Garr255 recieved a refund from Avalon on 9/11/13, which was two days before it was supposedly requested. I have inquired in that group buy thread what that refund was for with no answer. Garr has logged on multiple times in the past couple days with no posts. I hope I'm wrong, but starting to look fishy.

1. If Avalon goes all Butterfly Labs on us, is there a way to get a refund from them?

The problem with me my friend is that I have a very small asshole. I do NOT let myself get fucked by ANYONE and NO-ONE. You on the other hand seem to take it without Vaseline from BFL, Avalon etc, and are very CHILLED OUT about it. Not my style. In my country we call people like that "Corno Manso". my thought about all this is that it is an investment. i equate investments with gambling. some opportunities seemingly have better odds than others. but they all have the chance to fail. no one wants to be the one that is in the percentage that fails or loses money. but by putting your money into this or any opportunity you are thereby agreeing that should this opportunity fail you are "ok" with that. that could mean less return that what you put in or a total loss of your investment.
