Yep. Can't login here either, blank page after login.

Its 3AM where TradeFortress is so he's probably asleep. I'm sure he'll fix it once he's awake.
Yeah, I was asleep.. There was a server issue which now has being fixed, pingdom didn't alert me because it only applied if you were logged in.

There is no problem with CoinLenders, just a server glitch. Sorry to everyone for the scare / inconvenience Cry

Eh, it may well be too many people tried to withdraw or something like that because of the price drop today and the app couldn't handle it. Calling it a default without extra info is hopefully premature Smiley

Yes, give him some time to respond.
I have a good chunk of my coins there, because TF looked quite trustworthy (hope I'm not wrong with that)

Didn't see a reply to this but are you running this all by yourself? (Only curious if you're unavailable for a day or two or you're ill etc.)
Yeah, also I've being talking to some of my friends about a dead man's switch but they're not really bitcoin savvy.

You can also transfer your coins to coinchat!

coinlenders.com is down?

I would love to see a list like that as well as hear from others here how much they would feel comfortable leaving there.

Hey Trade. This looks very cool. Can you share any information on your volume or your biggest loans? Thanks!

Cool service. I'd like to try it out. Two comments, though, and I know you've addressed them to varying degrees in this thread, but I figured I'd add my two bitcents:

1. HTTPS is critical. Client-side password hashing is all well and good, but the universal standard is HTTPS because it is the only real guarantee against man in the middle attacks.

2. You ask your users to provide their legal names. Perhaps you should offer the same back ;-)

As for locked addresses, is it locked for 14 days then unlocked, or does attempting to change the lock address start the 14d counter, or does the counter start when you try to withdrawal to a different address?  I just haven't seen any "unlock" button.

14 days before it is unlocked. After it is unlocked, you can withdraw to any address, and you can lock it again.

It's in Settings Smiley
Found the function to lock things, but didn't see the unlock link until visiting the page again. Which is how I had expected it to be setup. Thanks

TradeFortress I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but did you post your verified real world identity somewhere? I think for a service like this, we would need to know.
No. If I default, it wouldn't help you much anyways - the identity of pirateat40, ianbakewell, etc are known, but that hasn't achieved much. There's also similar assets like Deprived's fund that people don't seen to be wanting identity from.

I understand that this might turn people away from depositing their coins, but if you don't feel comfortable depositing you're free to not to Smiley

Does removing a coin/ part of one mid day effect the interest on the rest, or is it very precise? if I remove a coin 8 hours into the day do I still get 8 hours of interest on that coin and the full interest on the others?

Thank you again Smiley

You won't earn the interest on the coins that was removed / withdrawn, but interest is calculated daily so it's a fairly negligible amount.

As for locked addresses, is it locked for 14 days then unlocked, or does attempting to change the lock address start the 14d counter, or does the counter start when you try to withdrawal to a different address?  I just haven't seen any "unlock" button.

Can you please update your google authenticator code to show the key as well as the QR code?  The blackberry version doesn't allow you to scan a QR code only type it in.

Thanks,

Done!
