Taugeran - I'll give it a try.

Have in mind that no two chips are the same, so you might get slightly varying results. Also - since the hashrate fluctuates it will have to be run for at least 12-24hrs before we have some statistically accurate numbers for comparison.

fair enough

So, I left one of the slightly under-voltaged sticks run at 54 bits for a bit and that's what I got:

Here's the specs from the mfg website:

http://www.orico.com.cn/en/ProductInfo.aspx?typeid=237&id=2078

It says the brick is only 4A; 400mA per port seems low.  Isn't USB3.0 specs 900mA per port?
The brick is 4A @ 12V = 48 W.
48 W / 5V = 9.6A = 10 ports at 0.9A each + 0.6A leftover

Aha, didn't notice the voltage.

Thanks for clarifying.

My webserver will build any bfgminer branch for Windows: http://luke.dashjr.org/tmp/code/webisect/webisect.php?dobuild=nanofury

Every Linux-based OS really needs its own package/binary - there is no good runs-everywhere solution.

Luke - I don't know if I've mentioned that before, but ... YOU ROCK!!! Smiley

I'll follow up with Luke-Jr to see if we can get pre-compiled binaries for Linux.

I'm currently trying to set up my Windows box for compiling bfgminer and as soon as I get through the various missing pieces I'll post a zip with the exe and all other required dlls.

In the mean time we're also working on final tweaks to cgminer - I'll post a link to the Windows executable in the next few days as well.

We'll be publishing all source code as well, so anyone can compile his or her own binaries. On a theory everything should be compile-able for Linux too but I don't have the experience there to do a proper testing, so any help in that regard would certainly be welcome.

CCNA: There i fixed the internet.
@Vs3: as i will shortly receive my sticks. is it possible to give an update how to start those sticks ?
On Linux and on Windows please.

Regards.

from Microchip's MCP2210 webpage:

Uses standard HID drivers (built-in support on Windows® XP, Vista, 7, Linux and Mac OS®)

So on both OSes it should be a matter of plug and play. it should be auto detected i believe and with cgminer the only thing cg looks for is the USB VID:PID combo to identify the device.

bfminer you will probably have to add -S ......

heres an example from his dev work with cgminer

Taugeran - I'll give it a try.

Have in mind that no two chips are the same, so you might get slightly varying results. Also - since the hashrate fluctuates it will have to be run for at least 12-24hrs before we have some statistically accurate numbers for comparison.

fair enough

@vs3 or ljr: how much does each osc6 bit increase appear to increase hashrate by? my math is saying anywhere from 35mh/s up to 50mh/s.

just curious on your results

edit: my math is probably fudged. :/
