Only a few hours left to go!
The competition closes at 2:00pm UTC today, when the first Quarter final game kicks off with France facing Uruguay.
We'll announce the winners on the 8th July (after recovering from Saturday's games!
), and contact the winners soon after via PM on BitcoinTalk.
On a side note, I've got France in the office sweepstake, so i'll be cheering them on this afternoon! Anyone else have a sweepstake team still in the comp?

It's looking like FRA/BRA/CRO/ENG is currently the most popular prediction, but with this being the world cup of upsets anything could happen!
Actually, if anyone manages to get every prediction wrong (a skill in itself!) I might be able to swing a small prize to reward their bad luck

@Trofo Y'know it's my first time running a comp like this on BitcoinTalk and I hadn't even thought of quoting to prevent edits, so far I've just been taking screenshots of all the entries when they are posted but your way seems a lot easier!

A simple way is by adding a term that edited post will be disqualified since edited post can be checked easily so you do not need to take screenshot anytime there is new prediction. Too bad I cant participate because it seems that cloudbet is blocking IP from my country as I cant open it but I can open it with VPN.

The worst bookmaker I ever seen! I’ve requested a withdraw last Friday and before to request it I verified my phone number with the sms code which I received! ! After 4 days of waiting my withdraw request was rejected by someone of their team and I received a email where they asked me to verify my phone number 😂, but I don’t know why. I tried several times to verify it again but I didn’t received the sms code so I requested again new withdraw. 4 days since the second request I did not receive my money! Can you tell me what a bookmaker is it?
was your withdrawal big ? it may be just a technical error but personally never waited for over 2 hours to get my withdrawals with cloudbet but max I did was 0.2 BTC
have no idea about the phone verification tho , do they have it beside google 2FA ?
My withdraw is 0.13, and yes I have and 2 FA. I was in contact with them in chat several times and they did’t proceed my withdraw. The answers every time is the sames.

Our competition is to pick the team to progress, and I have a funny feeling you could be right about the BRA v BEL game. Brazil haven't exactly blown me away with their performances so far and Belgium have looked quietly confident, I can see them parking the bus and holding out. As for football coming home I'm an England fan myself so I'm trying not to let myself get excited yet... I've been burnt before!
I'm making a spreadsheet of all the entries as they come in to ensure we don't have anyone switching results, but next time I'll definitely add a blanket 'no edits' rule to the T&Cs to make life easier!

Hello Ronnie, got your PM, typically don't appreciate unsolicited messages but I tried to run my own competition and understand how difficult it can be to garner interest, plus it's World Cup and it's coming home, so I'll waive my displeasure. Here is my own entry:

I'm assuming this is for team to progress? Because I actually predict Brazil to draw with Belgium and go to penalties.
Yes, I know, betting big on underdogs, but we've had more than enough surprises in this tournament to remind us how badly the best seem to be playing at the moment;)
You can make a rule, edited entries will not be entertained and that's simple enough, people would have to delete and make a new post if they want a new prediction
