Just noticed suspcious activity in [ANN][ICO] HEIDI - Swiss crypto-token which tokenises the sustained delivery , with thier ANN thread being spammed by redundant "great project" type of posts. It looked like a airdrop giveway in exchange for bitcoinalk comments, and after a bit of checking, turns out I was right and they are breaking forum rules.

@LoyceV can you please share that lists of posters, as by looking at their ANN I think that they previously hired bumping group but they stopped with that activity 2 months ago.

First i want to say the Mods are busy thats right but thats because of " us all " in here and all that reporting !

I dont know what you are not seeing that was happend , for sure the Moderators dosnt post often in here but that dosnt mean they dont read the posts here.

Next thing is that we all in here archived a lot in here with reporting , specialy when we started here because there was no bots or something else that helped with reporting.
Also this thread archived that a lot of other Users started reporting more and the main goal of this thread was to make it a bit easier for Moderators and also Users to report.

From my 18714 reports i have done so far all of them was done manual , just keep reporting and it helps the Forum and the Users.

Thanks man! It was a huge effort indeed... I'm sure though that you also have plenty of reports, maybe more than I have. I started this "job" somehow recently...but I'm doing my best. I have by now about 5300 good reports.


Hehe great minds think the same. Tomorrow I was going to write in that topic too, to announce that I finished reporting all the users mentioned by nutildah in that excel file. Although there were 20 users mentioned, in this case it was a smaller work though - "only" ~350 posts to be reported in total. I have a few remaning, which I'll cover tomorrow, then I'll reply to nutildah in that topic too. And yes, I will also keep an eye in your topic also from now on Thank you for this invite.



I didn't use suchmoon's tool yet, but it looks impressive. I think I'll try it too at some point. For now, I'm using this script made by Cyrus. I find it useful. Feel free to try it too, if you think it's feasible.

Exactly what I wanted to hear because we have talked a long time ago in this thread about this.

I also tried to do something as @Oleo and after multiple posts reports of one member (especially in a row), I tried to explain in the next report (after a deeper check of his account history) why such member should be banned or at least all his spammy posts removed at once (to save unnecessary work with reporting and then reviewing them one by one), but TBH don't know if mods ever followed my advice?

Same we tried to achieve in this thread, we hoped that maybe a few mods will jump in and help, but as we can see it didn't happen, I can understand that they are busy enough.


Looks like there is no other way, anyways, thanks for the answers, like I said I will try to help to clean the forum and join your report spree  .


Thank you for the reminder, I knew about this "hack" but forgot and now it could be not easy to find with no info and I know it will speed up the process a lot, especially, if somebody is reporting hundreds of posts, as I have in plans   .

Welcome back! I am not part of this gang, but I'm trying to help as much as I can. I don't know what are the criteria for being accepted, but I'd be honored to be a member here


Each time I see a list of spammers mentioned I jump to action. I'm checking all the posts of the user mentioned and I'm reporting all their shitposts. So I can say I'm focusing on users, not on topics.


I don't know about any other efficient action excepting reporting all the spam posts made by someone, one by one... In the past, oeleo tried to open a topic for highlighting shillers and report just 1 post per user, with a comment like "mods please review the entire post history of this user", but that didn't work. As a consequence, he closed his topic after  while. As far as I saw, reporting post by post is the only efficient way. Most of the above mentioned users are now demoted to Brand New rank, but after a huge effort I made.

Yeah I noticed that majority was gone when I checked the topic . I also see that you(probably) seriosuly reduced ZYX ANN, and that one is especially annoying. Firstly because they are ponzi, and secondly because  they are using those services for months now.



Yeah I was also reporting them, but not as many as you lol, that's some serious effort, good job man and keep it up! By the way, when you have some free time on your hands and feel like reporting, you might wanna check ANN threads that are using bumping services. I am keeping that list regularly updated with all the latest findings.


We still have to report posts one by one, no other way unfortunately. Luckily there are plenty of us reporting so it's manageable. I don't know if you are using @suchmoon [HACK] One-click mod report, not for the faint of heart , but that can also help and speed up the process.

Are you reporting all spammy posts in the threads provided here or maybe you are focusing on particular members and dig in their post history to report spam?

We always wanted to make this efficient as possible, I wonder if something changed or still we have to report all spammy posts one by one?

It's already done I think I took it ahead this time and I started reporting since yesterday all the posts of all the members mentioned by you and Bitcoin_Arena.




After a few hours reporting marathon I ended up with 870 reports. There were just a few posts remaining to be reported from Bitcoin_Arena's list. I think someone else took it ahead of me too lol. Mods are already working on these posts. As far as I see they keep deleting them.

Honestly I don't think that Primebit is in the control of  those bumping accounts because they are working on other threads as well, as I showed on that table. If they are really Primebit's accounts, they would solely focus on that thread, and not work on others, as among them there are pure ponzi scams, like ZYX Network. What's bad though is the fact that  @PrimeBitExchange was online recently and active on thread but he conveniently decided to ignore your warning.
 
That service that is behind all this bumping woke up new accounts because old ones have been tagged. That's their standard practice, I've seen it many times before. If you tag newly awoken ones, they will simply add new ones. They are using newbie accounts as those are easily disposable and they have unlimited supply. Rinse and repeat.

Gonna report all of their spam posts for now, and then I'll see what to do next, as sometimes they just give up when mods keep deleting their spam posts constantly.

We have 0.0012 in the Donation address what you guys want to do with the funds?
I have some options here but I would like to here what you guys think.

1. Keeping them as I did until now.
2. Raffle them between the members.
3. Order a proper signature or/and avatar for the club.
4. Donate them to Loyce.club and/or BPIP and/or TryNinja's project as they would actually put the funds into a good use providing tools for our needs.

All those three accounts woke up today and it's now clear that PrimeBitExchange has a hand behind the bumping. PrimeBitExchange is also breaking a forum rule of making consecutive replies to bump the thread.

Shouldn't this be enough reason to tag them on grounds of using a bump service? I am waiting for views from a couple of DT members before I tag the PrimeBitExchange account as well

More spam threads/ accounts detected and tagged. One of the threads that are using this service is Primebit.com. They were warned about this by @Bitcoin_Arena but it looks like they don't care. That's a pretty shady behavior, coming from an exchange.

Some nice guys paid-bumping the Bitwings ANN thread. I wanted to report them but I'm quite astonished to see that the mods have merged their posts, instead of deleting them. As if these posters are seriously interested in the project. Yeah right.

Detrix was already mentioned in the topic Rapid shitposting attack for being part of the HackForums invasion. But at that time he didn't seem involved though. However, today I reported all his posts as well.

Excepting him, I found today one more spammer - wecanbothwin and I reported almost all his posts.

I merited him with a single liner because he somehow showed some interest in learning. Obviously, I didn't check his posting history, so I wasn't aware of this post bursting.
It's a difficult balance to help newbie, who might not perfectly be aware of forum ethics and rules,  and not feeding bots/trolls/spammers. I was wrong this time.

Another interesting thing is that he have only 17 posts deleted my the mods. I wonder if those are only since the last awaking.
Clearly on the picture we see a post bursting guy who somehow fooled fillippone to get the Jr. merit...

User Detrix just check his post history, carried out a real invasion on Service Discussion and Bitcoin Discussion sections.
Burtsposting every few minutes with a one-line spam. I report a few of his posts, but he wrote them around 230 for a few days.
the moderator could look and probably delete all of his posts.

For example, how does it look like "last post" column in Service Discussion

I reported 152 posts of this user but all of them are unhandled yet. Let's see what will happen in the next few days.
