Paying someone for votes is still paying someone for votes.

And that's why I'm still for restarting the vote or making a new one Wink

I understand your frustration, but I don't think the OP said anything about paying for votes. (did he argue against it? I didn't read the thread)
If anything, I would immediately start an EAC giveaway for those votes and give yourself a chance to catch up with LOT.

EAC is behind LOT, and if the OP decides that LOT wins based on vote count, then you won't have anything to argue about. They had the most votes, right?

Still 4 days left for this vote thing, plenty of time

LOT will win again. You know why? There can't be 1000 vote topics for the same thing.

Everyone is ranting about LOT. What is funny is that there are 360+ votes, and no more than ~220 votes that have been 'paid'. There are still 140 legit votes. I bet EAC does the same on their forums (not on BCT, of course).

As I said, I believe people are smart. I believe they are entitled to their opinions. If they want to vote for LOT, then let them do it. Giveaway or not, they have the final words. 2000 LOT wasn't a big reward, and a lot of people voted because they really wanted LOT to win, but also posted their address in the giveaway section. 2000 LOT isn't enough to deceive someone into voting.

Actually the only forum really "owned" by the EAC team is the one on bitcointalk, there is earthcointalk which is semi-popular but nobody is offering a single reward there. Paying someone for votes is still paying someone for votes.

The point is:

People who're voting EAC do it for the following reason:

When eac team was doing the giveaways, they were giving 30-100k of eac. Those EAC have a big price now. Why? Because of good marketing.

LOT has much better marketing ( forget about me, let's say I don't exist ), because people actually see LOT everywhere. Most gambling sites use LOT.
Like www.rapidballs.eu which is known to most people.

People who're using rapidballs, know what profit they can make from 1k LOT.

People who're holding eac, know when to DUMP. They're just waiting a pump to dump it people's face. That's all.

But Lotto and Dime are the only ones paying for votes?

Yes, but it would be nice to know what people REALLY think about the listed coins and also it would stop the bashing because someone is paying for the votes Wink

I'd say we restart the vote and everyone who's paying for votes will get disqualified. And I think lotto will be number 1 or 2.

How am I a fanboy when I am criticizing something and what is it I don't understand? You did not answer my questions. You changed your argument which is totally OK, it is just worth pointing out.

Vote manipulation is not OK. It is not my opinion, it is a fact. You know "promotion" which is one of the many subcategories of marketing, but not marketing itself.
You know what's the funniest part? 90% of people think CoinPayments is a exchange site.
You know what's funnier? I'm ADVERTISING.

Even LOT ''loses'' this battle, IT WINS.

LOT is paying for votes. Manipulation of votes, un-democratic, sleazy, unprofessional, the list goes on!! It does not matter how much/little is payed - Paying for votes is paying for votes. I never had anything against LOT until now.

Learn what democracy is.
You live in a rotten capitalistic system, not in a democratic. Is Obama a democrat? Oh, sh!t. He has sponsors. WOW SUCH DEMOCRACY.
You're a product, like I am and everyone else. Use your heads before you type anything which can be proven wrong.

You pass next to people who're dying on hunger everyday and you don't even watch them. Democracy.

I never had anything in common with LOT, til now. I love LOT. I'll do my best for LOT.

I'll get it to the universe.

Thanks for mentioning the word democracy.
Had to ring some bells.

What does Obama have to do with me if I may ask? Do I have to learn what democracy is? How did you prove me wrong, and what did you prove? You proved me wrong by saying we live in a rotten capitalistic system? you are criticizing Obama for being sponsored, yet you say it is OK that LOT is "sponsored"? Biased dubble standards much? This is how you come of as intellectually, no offence Wink

Sigh Keyzer.. you seemed like a good guy when I helped you promote DTC, but if this is your true color.. You promote LOT so you are disqualified in this matter anyhow.
I am a good guy, but I hate fanboys who talk bad about something they don't understand. All I do is marketing.

Already the name "LottoCoin" keeps me away from trading. I wan't to make business and profit, not playing lotto.

So i'll better invest in EarthCoin for long term and hope that it will get a worldwide method of payments.

But it's OK when kids like to play with things that are nothing worth in the real world. For that we have lotto, doge, cats, mouse, pigs, chickens, manga ... ... ...

exactly how I see it...  what is so striking is that none of those guys here see this problem... when you mention it, they cry: but gambling blablabla...

as if that is something normal shops or serious businesses care for or want to be associated with...

imagine some electronics store having a "lottocoin accepted" sticker... anyone who is not totally into crypto will see the name and decide that they'd rather buy their ipod headphones somewhere else...

it just sounds sleazy

then imagine a fruits and vegetables store with "earthcoin accepted"... it just fits.
it has this green, responsible tinge to it. people respond well to the name.

the only ones that respond well to lotto are people who can't do math. hint: you always lose in the long run

Half of Bitcoins transactions are involved in online gambling.

Pokerstars has more then 50M Customers world wide.

One of the largest industrys in the world no matter where you are from or what your background is. Once in your life you make a gamble.

Your points are invalid.

Also, Earthcoin great for buying fruits?  Let me: Lmao.

Cheers!

look dude, no one is saying that there is not money involved in gambling.

but if you had read my posts here, you'd see that I am basically saying what you just said in your post:

gambling can be done in any currency. you quote bitcoin is so much used in gambling. great.

but how does that help or speak for lottocoin?

the point here is: a clean, serious coin can be used to buy drugs, buy a hooker or waste on gambling.

but a sleazy coin that has already such a sleazy business in its name has a hard time on other markets.

imagine a hookercoin. or an illegaldrugscoin or a gamblingcoin

people do not necessarly want to be associated with such a market or such a use. even if the very same people who object to such a coin go buy a hooker 20 minutes later with bitcoin.

money is best when it is as unobjectionable as possible. even when used for the worst things humans can come up with.

a currency that is connected, even if only in name, with gambling has a self limiting factor built into itself

I am not trolling this thread to scoff at some competition. I am simply making a point that people outside of this community will easily understand.

people not totally involved with lottocoin will instinctively object to its name. lotto is the business of desperate lower class people, the stupid or the addicted. that is the PUBLIC perception. NOT my personal opinion.

that is all I wanted to say

I support both, I think they are both great coins with good potential and a solid community backing but seriously you sound like a hippie and you completely negate any possible credit you might have by stating your own personal perception as public perception ;P "Lotto is the business of desperate lower class people"... you've obviously never brushed shoulders with high class people...

No need to bash a coin just because YOU don't like it, with the numbers both LOT and EAC have chances are they will both be added to coin payments.

I fail to see anything a hippie might say in my post.
I did not even mention EAC. I mentioned bitcoin.

that money is best when it is as unobjectionable as possible is not a hippie idea... hippies don't care about money Wink

it's a simple fact of life.

I know it is hard to see that I'm right when you're paid to post here, but think about it again, in a few days, when you've sold the last lottocoin. it might seem a lot more intuitive
You want to buy veggies with earth coin... lotteries/gambling is sleezy/objectionable... lotto is the business of desperate lower class people, the stupid or the addicted... these are all very hippie-ish statements IMO, its the attitude of "because I don't like it its wrong", again no need to bash a coin just because YOU don't like it.

I cast my vote long before the payments, and I doubt $0.20 has a major bearing on the voting, besides the fact lotto was at #1 before the pay-outs too. If you don't like a coin just don't use it its not like anyone's forcing you to no need to come in with the anti-'whatever' propaganda let people make up their own minds.

True. Because of that I like "neutral" coins like Bitcoin, Worldcoin, Earthcoin, Primecoin and so on. I voted for Earthcoin, although the price might fall a little more. Maybe it is the bottom. Let's see, what happens, when it hits Cryptsy Smiley

LOTTO is paying for votes. Manipulation of votes, un-democratic, sleazy, unprofessional, the list goes on!!

I agree. Also, LOT is the real crapcoin, kept promising "something big" for this week, what they did is basically laughable (some random guy tweeting a bit). The value on cryptsy also already halved. You can't even compare that to only what EarthCoin is doing in the China market, let alone anything else. Both coins are just speculations, but LOT is basically doomed to crap heaven anyway. If you want gambling coins, use CasinoCoin, it's been stable for a while, has stable community, and persistent devs, and much higher value than crap LOT. Even DOGE has higher value than LOT!
