I usually used coinmarketcap to check the prices of cryptos but I don't trust in the ranking exchanges of coinmarketcap it's not accurate, most of the top exchanges were fake volumes.

I use both Coingecko and Coinmarketcap. But I totally can't side any of them. If I want to quickly switch from one cryptocurrency to another and get more information on the prices and volume I use Coingecko. As for fake volume, I think they are both doing it coz I feel they don't research enough
Both are good, but Coinmarketcap seems to be more trusted by investors because the site is easy to use and has an interface suitable for everyone.

In addition, last week, the number one exchange Binance in this market bought Coinmarketcap so it is certain that the number of traffic will increase in the near future. Of course, you have the right to choose according to your preferences but Coinmarketcap often provides more accurate information.

For example, I heard lot that P2PB2B is one of the bullshit exchanges because it has fake volume, but why on coinmarketcap can in the top 3?
Whereas on Coingecko P2PB2B is ranked 114, Does coingecko know if it's bullshit exchange? so it's not in the top 3 like in coin marketcap

So which one do you trust more?
I guess both uses different kind of criteria to rank the exchanges, that is why you can see that each exchange is at different rank on different site.
The best thing to do is not to trust any sites blindly. Do your own analysis on the exchange before using them. Just have an excellent rank does not mean that they are the best. Use the forum if needed. Check for peoples review over here. Look for reviews from users with good reputation on the site. There are lot of users that will shill for an shit exchange.

For now, I prefer coingecko over coinmarketcap, indeed coinmarketcap basically has a fairly comprehensive list than coingecko but I often get if the data or information provided by coinmarketcap is not too accurate and different from what we see in the actual market, including some scams market  that listed in their list, so in my opinion making coinmarketcap as a recommendation is not a good step at this time.
But after binance acquires coinmarketcap hopefully coinmarketcap will be more accurate and neutral in providing any information / data available.

It's better to save our opinion when it comes to coinmarketcap as of the moment since they were recently acquired by Binance, I know a lot of people will have negative views towards this including me since Binance is literally monopolizing the crypto industry not just particular markets in it. But what does it mean for Coinmarketcap? It only means that a billion dollar company is now backing them and with the really big amount in order to acquire them which is around 400 million dollars I think it only means that Binance has really big plans for CMC. So we really need to scrape of some things like the date manipulation, discrepancies, and other scandals that has plagued CMC. Just think of it as CMC being a new crypto tracking website which has a potential to have more accurate pricing for cryptocurrency and up to date list for all coins in the industry.

Coingecko has their own way of ranking than coinmarketcap does. Coinmarketcap ranks based on what's happening. For instance a token is pumped by 1000% and volume increases, its automatically ranked in coinmarketcap but Coingecko will take other measure to determine if this is really the value of the coin or its just a pump. Their algorithm differs so to say.
That is a fair explanation, i never used coingecko extensively earlier but after seeing your comment thought of visiting them  Smiley. Heard about the trust score system when they evaluate the volume and if they are really checking the web traffic stats in coingecko then i would choose it than CMC.

i also heard that CMC is sold to another big investor, so for now i both do not trust them for all my info about projects
It is none other than binance as they are planning to take over the entire market  Grin.

On coinmarketcap you don´t find everything, especially coins with low market cappitalization and low volume are not listed here. Is it good? I do not know, I prefer one website with every listed coin. Coingecko doesn´t suit me, it is not as organized as Coinmarketcap, it requires more time to find an information what you are looking for.

I over heard someone talk about some coins ranking high but with low volume than some that are above them. I think there is something to be corrected or its how it should be but coinmarketcap is higher than coingecko and also older than coingecko. Many prefers CMC to coingecko and it times of volume and regulations CMC is more than coingecko I would say.

Coingecko beats CMC all the way up and there is no need to open the second tab for CMC if the Coingecko tab is open. There is no major difference between both but actually I like more the design of Coingecko.
The pros of Coingecko are more than the cons of Coinmarketcap, hope the Binance team will rethink about the future features of CMC. The $400mln is paid for buying the CMC by Binance, this is a sign of the high interest. Binance is a ticking bomb...

So many features implemented in coingecko so that this one is more enhanced from coinmarketcap. Coingecko trying to make accurate data which is absolutely better from CMC i think. Personally now i am always checking in coinegco so that it’s my prefer, also you can give highest priority instead of CMC. Coingecko is providing exchanges trust score, so you able to find out P2PB2B actual rank.

I more often use the coinmarketcap site but only to check about the price of coins even anyone will say the same thing, because as we know that the Coinmarketcap and Coingecko sites are global sites about cryptoqurrency data.

Since from initial days, I am using conmarketcap for information on cryptocurrencies. he user interface of conmarketcap looks good and easier for me than coingecko. Both sites look identical to me regarding the purpose of giving information on cryptocurrencies. But seems both have different criterias to calculate the rankings of altcoins and exchanges. But who knows these criteria and backend data? I heard that Binance will be taking over coinmarketcap. It will be more trustworthy then.

I prefer using Coingecko, coinmarketcap on the other hand is known for not giving accurate data and are known for being in support with exchange with fake volumes. They are only good at the UI.
Coingecko has a price calculator than could be used to calculate USD versus the coin amount. Coinmarketcap never reasoned to add this feature as little as it is and that's one of the most reason I stick with Coingecko most times.

I've used coinmarketcap more and the experience is a bit bad. This is because confusion is created due to fake volume data at coinmarketcap. Many bad exchanges are on their top list. As a result, Newbie faces a variety of problems with getting bad information. I also visited Coingecko. Their system seemed good to me. They have total traffic data and real volume data.

Yes, you are right. You can't trust the figures on both if you are seriously looking for a coin. But you can use them both for reference. And if you want to look in depth for the background of a specific coin, you can just go to their website and related links. So at least you know what's the deal for that coin. Both sites are only giving you the market overview of the coin, but you can't tell if those are real numbers. Now, that CMC is owned by BNB, I don't know what kind of change they will implement on this site.

Most of us are pretty aware right now that Binance bought CMC, so I must say that if CMC before was quite okay for listing coins and exchanges then it would surely be far more better right now.
I don't know about Coingecko though as I just heard and read it from different threads, so I can't give my full opinion for that.

Coingecko is really better, they have a tool to verify the volume of exchange and works very well, they check all the data to avoid fake volume and information, this is the reason that Coingecko is the best.

I agree and I have it installed on my phone to check the price from time to time I trust Coingecko more than Coinmarketcap now, they are up t date and some of the coins are listed there even if they are new coins in the market like Idena, they even had a coin or token listed even though there is no market yet like https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/the-geoma-dao#markets
