This coin is available here: https://cointracking.info/coin_charts.php?cur=SONIC10
You can already search for ContractID on Coin Trends page https://cointracking.info/coin_trends.php

Hey, can you please add the following tokens to Cointracking:

https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/sonic-svm/

Is there also an option to view the contract address of each mapped token ticker? Because sometimes there are like 9 tokens that have the same ticker and it's hard to verify to select the right one Cheesy

Thanks in advance.

Is it possible to "bulk" mark as spam from the main transactions screen? i would like to highlight multiple transactions and mark them all as spam

If you have warnings/errors on the Validation reports then of course you have issues in other reports.
I cannot tell you more generic things about it without not seeing your account. If needed you can send a ticket/E-Mail to our support address [email protected] mentioning your account name and the details.

Yup, I'm roughly aware of all the ways to validate my account. I have a few tens of thousands of transactions in my account and have invested a lot of time (probably hundreds of hours lfetime) into maintaining a clean database in CT. I only now discovered the forum so looking at this as an opportunity to answer some long-standing questions.

Balance Check: have very minor differences in only a few accounts
Missing transactions: same
Duplicate transactions: none
Vaidate transactions: none
Flow Report: some minor imbalances

I'm a very experienced user and I would love to understand how the different reports relate together, what exactly they filter, and what type of error would cause a delta between which reports.

For example, taking the simple "account balance on a certain day". Would it be possible to give me an example of a mistake that would cause the "realized and unrealized gains" account value and the "closing positions" account value for the same moment in time to diverge? Then I could better look for these mistakes in my database.

Really appreciate it  Smiley

All of them are correct (but all have different filters and therefor different purposes), if you added your transactions correctly. Please check first for warnings/errors on the validation check reports: https://cointracking.freshdesk.com/a/solutions/articles/29000035339?lang=en

Please check this article how to find the correct ticker and adjust your transactions then: https://cointracking.freshdesk.com/en/support/solutions/articles/29000047919-how-to-identify-the-correct-ticker-in-cointracking

Thanks! Another question I have:

I am trying to reconcile my balances right now, and the different reports inside Cointracking are giving me slightly different portfolio amounts/values.

I am speaking primarily about
1) the "realized and unrealized gains" page, when I filter time until 31.12.2024 and 23:59:59
2) the "closing positions report" generated as part of my 2024 tax report.

What is the difference in how these two are calculated, and which is "correct"?

Bonus question:
the "balance by day" report will give yet different results, but I have already found it sets the price of some token to zero that shouldn't be. Why is that?

Thanks a lot for the help!  Smiley

Yes that is correct. Everything is calculated in BTC regarding custom price in the background. There is nothing you can do about it.

I have a question that I couldn't answer using the FAQ/Documentation.

Example 1: I want to make a custom token with price $1. e.g. an obscure stablecoin or vault that CT doesn't support.
Example 2: I want to make a custom token with price $0.01, e.g. because I bought an ICO where the token is not yet listed anywhere.

Right now, when I do that, the price seems to be initially denominated in BTC. So even if I set currency = USD and price = 1, if BTC goes up 10%, that custom coin will be worth $1.1.

Is that observation correct, and if yes, how do I prevent that?

A transfer need a withdrawal at exchange/wallet A and a separate deposit transaction at exchange/wallet B. See transaction types FAQ: https://cointracking.freshdesk.com/en/support/solutions/articles/29000042783
We match them but show e.g. if one of those transaction of the pair is missing here: https://cointracking.info/missing_transactions.php

I'm a CT user. I noticed that Koinly tries to match transfers between accounts.  Does CT automatically do this (particularly if importing with csv's)?

This is the average number on the gains page.

Please check our FAQ regarding this new IRS procedure - everything is shown there: Navigating IRS Revenue Procedure 2024-28 ("https://cointracking.freshdesk.com/en/support/solutions/articles/29000047958-navigating-irs-revenue-procedure-2024-28")
Those cost base details are included in the Reallocation report.

Here you can find the cost per unit on the gains page - and a depot separation filter is available besides others as well: https://cointracking.info/gains.php

I see the cost per unit, but it is still just 1 number?

for example if I have 10 ETH it shows cost per unit of $2000

But I need to see the dates with the cost basis of each group how many coins and when I bought like below

3/10/2018 - 3 ETH - $1000
5/5/2020   - 2 ETH - $1500
7/10/2023 - 5 ETH - $2800
=================
                   10 ETH - cost per unit $2000

Yes, this is exactly what depot separation is about.
No, it will not affect previous reports. But you should go through all ValiChecks as shown here: "How to validate my account?" (https://cointracking.freshdesk.com/a/solutions/articles/29000035339?lang=en)

US released new guidance for tax purposes with deadline of Jan 1,2025  Cry
Thanks for your reply!

does cointracking have wallet based tracking as discussed here:
https://support.koinly.io/en/articles/10289123-migrating-to-wallet-based-cost-tracking-under-new-irs-guidance-usa-only

is that the same as depot separation feature?

if we have not used this feature and turn it on, will it affect previous accounting/tax reports?

one last question, what is the easiest way to get all my cost-basis for my current holdings?
