2 questions on using Uniswap

Many coins listed on DEXes have 'tax' to buy/sell said coin.

Ex. Buy 1000 COIN but receive only 950 COIN with 50 COIN as tax, many times this goes to fund their devs/marketing whatever.  This is in addition to the ETH fee when executing transaction.

1. I'm assuming user can declare whichever they choose as the 'Fee' and 'Fee Currency' when importing the trade (COIN or ETH).  Or is there clarification on this?

2. How exactly are fees figured into the overall accounting?

We support almost every date format (EU/US). If you have still issues please send a ticket/E-Mail with examples.

ok - thanks. I've ended up using most of the different approaches on https://cointracking.freshdesk.com/en/support/solutions/articles/29000007211-delete-some-or-all-transactions

What is the date format for Start Date on the Binance API import? I entered a date and it was ignored

...it's ok - I've edited it and it has accepted the Start Date.
If there are specific formats CT does / doesn't accept, it would be worth updating the API import page with brief instructions, next to the Start Date.

Yes correct. Or use manual deletion with search/sort option on enter coins page: "Delete and edit some or all transactions" https://cointracking.freshdesk.com/en/support/solutions/articles/29000007211-delete-some-or-all-transactions

I'm trying to work out if I can use Bulk Edit/Delete to:
Delete all Binance Trades where Type = "Interest Income" or "Other income" and date is before 2023.01.01

It doesn't seem I can do this directly with Bulk Delete
I think the only way I can do this in CT is to use Bulk Edit and create a brand new exchange based on the above criteria (e.g. "TempExchange"), and then go to Bulk Delete and delete all trades in TempExchange.
I'd need to do this twice, once for Type = "Interest Income" or and once for Type = "Other income"

Is that correct?

You need to summarize/aggregate them manually.

I'm aggregating about 20,000 daily interest payments into about 700 monthly payments.
I don't need 20,000 daily interest payments in CT.
I don't believe CT has implemented the ability to aggregate interest payments, so I've written my own code to make the changes outside of CT - please correct me if this functionality does exist.

I think my only option is to follow the instructions you gave for "Start from scratch"

We do not recommend doing this at all, but if you want to do it you need to delete all data first as shown here: "Start from scratch - delete all data and import again" https://cointracking.freshdesk.com/a/solutions/articles/29000031892?lang=en
We rather recommend creating a second account restore there your backup, make the adjustments, create a backup in the 2nd account and restore it then to the first account: "Create backup, restore or export your account data" (https://cointracking.freshdesk.com/a/solutions/articles/29000031008-create-backup-restore-or-export-your-account-data/en)

I've done a full CSV Export and have been making changes to the data.
When I do a CSV import, at https://cointracking.info/import/import_csv/ does it:
1. append the upload to the existing data in CT?
or 2. remove all existing data from CT and replace it with the CSV import?

If it is number 2, how do I delete everything in CT before I do the CSV import?
I have made a backup.

You are the first one asking for this chain. We add it to our long list. Thank you for your patience.
For now please use the manual options to add your transactions.

Thanks very much @Andreas_CoinTracking for the super quick reply (only realised now you'd already replied lol).

Eth address was listed under "Import all transactions of a Ethereum address (legacy v2)" on https://cointracking.info/import/eth_address/

Deleted the old job as well as all the relating txns.

Created a new job at the top of the page as suggested but unfortunately, I can still only see Deposits and Withdrawals, but no rewards whereas I can see them on the Kiln dashboard.

Have sent a ticket with my email as recommended.

Thanks again

It is part of the latest ETH blockchain importer here: https://cointracking.info/import/eth_address/
May be you are still using an old ETH importer. So if you create a new API job on top of the page with your wallet address those transactions should be imported.
Otherwise please send us a ticket/eMail with your account name. @Pelaio

Hi,
I can see "ETH - Validator transactions" listed in the "Updates and Improvements" released on 05/07/23 and being mentioned again on 31/07/23.

Can you please let us know where the function to import Eth validator transactions is in Cointracking?

Have tried to delete all transactions for the eth account I used to transfer eth to a validator but only the eth transactions listed on etherscan relating to that Eth address were re-imported. None of the Beacon chain/validators transactions (deposit/activation or rewards) were imported.

Thanks very much
