We are no tax advisors. I suggest to create a ticket/E-Mail with your account name that we can check your account individually.
What we have is on our reports e.g. on the tax report the "group purchases/sales per day" slider. Possibly this helps already.

@TRADERNOM Not sure if I get you here, but to merge transactions of 2 CoinTracking accounts your could use the "backup" and the restore feature there where you can select in which account you want to restore your data. But I suggest to add a 3rd account here to avoid changing data in your working first 2 accounts: https://cointracking.freshdesk.com/a/solutions/articles/29000031008-create-backup-restore-or-export-your-account-data/en

what I mean is when I run the report it should not treat all trades as capital gain/loss if they are from day trading activities. How do I get around this. trades from my kraken1 exchange is for day trading (gain should be added to income) the other kraken2 exchange is longer crypto hold (gain/loss should be added to capital gain). I need them to link so it can accurately do ACB across my accounts and make sure the wash rule is respected.

Cointracking says you can do this if you have a day trading account and a long term investment account.

Thanks in advance, this is turning into a nightmare, and I have not found one software to address this yet (tried 10). Koinly mentions that they are going to implement a business report that address this as it should be income (closest thing I found to a possible solution down the line).

how are daytraders logging and doing their taxes?

Yes currently you have to add a custom price and the asset value if you want to have a current value and gain calculation as described here: https://cointracking.freshdesk.com/a/solutions/articles/29000038312?lang=en
We are currently working on a completely new custom price page which will help to manage those e.g. NFTs more easily. Thank you for your patience here.

Hi. NFT's are much simpler to track now. Thanks Smiley
Do we still have to manually enter a "Custom Price" as though each NFT is it's own "Coin" for things like "Current Balance" to show them correctly?
Cheers
Mat

Also, If so, is there a faster way to do it rather than the "price=custom" page? I have SO many "coins" now that I need to scroll so far down to the "enter new coin" box it take a LONG time to load each collection I sweep.

I have a day trading account (short term investment) and a longer term investment account, trying to figure out how I can make my short term trades to be treated as income gain/loss instead of capital gain/loss and appreiate any help. Tried looking and saw something about creating two accounts and merging but not on how to actually setup the transactions in the day trading one after api import. Figured this applies to allot of pelople. I wish there was an easy button that treats the entire account as income since its a business yet it can still control wash sale across two accouts.

You can use the trade list (full view) report here (https://cointracking.info/trades_full.php). There click on "manage columns" and add "buy value" and "sell value" in your local currency.

Is there any report to show a cost basis / acquire date of all my assets?

Okay, great to read that you can find and adjust them.

Thank you for the nice feedback.
Yes, just switch to CSP mode on Enter Coins page (site will load slower then) and use the search field and add "withdrawal" in there. You could even add a ticker or a date here as well. Otherwise all withdrawal transactions will be listed there.
You need to set a custom price for your NFTs then like for other unlisted tokens. We are working on an NFT report page with more functionality here, but it will take some time.

I think I have figured out the NFTs - it doesn't show the final balances but I have them in there.

I can filter by just Withdrawals - but I need Withdrawals & Deposits so I can find Withdrawals that don't have a matching deposit.

Hey guys, just to re-iterate whoever built this it is increadibly useful and better than any of the other tax software I tried. Which were three of the other biggest names.

There is one thing I'm trying to do. Is there any way to filter "Withdrawals" that do not have a corresponding "Deposit"? I need to resolve a bunch of stuff manually on transactions that were withdrawn to a wallet that the system can't import that I will need to add manually.

Also s there a way to include assets that are not included in the recognized assets in the Current Balance page? I have assets like NFTs that are not in the software and would like a way to see my final balances as it helps me track down any missing transactions.

If you're using client side processing (CSP mode) on Enter Coins page you can use "regex" for that. So enable client side processing, enable regex and put there USD$ there.

I'm doing some resolution to try to hunt down why I sold more USD than I purchased. Is there any way to filter all USD transactions - without getting USDC & USDT with exact match in search instead of like? I've tried "USD" and it doesn't seem work like google.

You can always use a start date and adjust this date. Only transactions after this date will be imported then.

Hi, Is there a way to have blockchain imports only import from "last import" date automatically. Only way I have found is to constantly manually adjusting date settings in "Optional settings and filters" to match "last import' date.
It would be great for this to have a toggle option Smiley

Thanks

All leveraged trades are imported as PnL data (profit and loss as a result of a closed position) provided by the exchange. Those PnL data are e.g. imported as transaction types "margin loss" and "margin profit". See this FAQ as well: How is Margin Loss Δ (delta) calculated ? (https://cointracking.freshdesk.com/a/solutions/articles/29000037668?lang=en)
And the exchanges have to provide those PnL data as we cannot calculate them on our own. So you can make them aware of those PnL data which are needed.

Hi, I did some futures trading on Poloniex and thety don;t show up on cointracking with the API. I don't see a way to import them by CSV.  Will you be adding this?
