This is possible to use CSV for one account and API for the other.
Just make sure you add a "custom exchange name" to your API job like "Binance Account 2" and you can thing about bulk edit the transactions which you add via CSV regarding exchange name e.g. from default "Binance" (no custom name possible via CSV!) to "Binance Account 1"

I'm also new to this and have a question.

Can I upload orders from a Binance account via CSV AND also connect cointracking via API to another Binance account?
I've seen that you can't mix API and CSV imports on cointracking.info, but is this account based or not?

This is technically only possible to add 16 digit numbers right now. So you have 2 manual options now:
1. Split transactions into 16 digit transactions at the same time
2. Use "Mega" or "Giga" SHIBZ to shrink the digits and add a custom price to this GSHIBZ then (like some exchanges do with DOGE -> MDOGE).

what you mean by cap problem? the amount is wrong which comes in via API?

See the pictures above.

I purchased:
108.977.392.383.578.560,00 SHIBZ

The transaction auto-imported from the wallet only shows:
9.999.999.999.999.999,99 SHIBZ

I also can't increase the number manually. It seems to be the highest number allowed per transaction in Cointracking.
So I added 11 transactions, each with 9.999 quadrillions, until I reached the 108 quadrillion SHIBZ I actually have.

The dashboards though still shows only 10 quadrillions.
The overall € value is also totally wrong.

To reproduce:
Try to add 108977392383578560 coins to your account.

Could you explain in more detail what you are doing or want to do here?

SHIBZ is the current and correct ticker for Shibazilla and value is zero. Please rename your coin into this ticker.

Hey Andreas.
Didn't do so because Cointracking will then calculate an insane value for the coins.
And the cap problem stays the same.

See:
https://i.ibb.co/Q8gcs4J/Bild-2021-10-31-224644.png
(actual value is just a few euros)

Anyway I switched to SHIBZ now and I'll set a manual value of 0 for now... but the cap problem is still there.
Seems like the cap only limits import amounts and the amount shown in the dashboard.
It's fine in the exchange overview... well... at least after I aggregated the total amount up by adding multiple transactions, each using CoinTracking's maximum amount of coins per transaction of 9999999999999999,99999999.

Aggregated transactions:

(The 2,500BTC value estimation is... a bit off here too of course  Cheesy)

Hi,

I'm trying to fetch the balance of each trade-group AND what wallet/exchange the balance is on, using the API. How do I do this?

Best,

Add all transactions as they appear
1. income of USDT 10k on 29.10.2021
2. spend of USDT 2k on 31.10.2021
This is it.
Then you see the spend amount on the trade list (full view) report - manual way.
And the income on your income report as part of your tax report.

If you have more spend+income transactions you see the sum of those.

You could use "other expense" but the result will be the same. The easiest way is to summarize you spend on the trade list e.g. per year and deduct it manually from your income.

OK - thanks.

I have a question regarding what to do in CoinTracking in this scenario.

eg.
Income = 10,000 USDT
Spend.X = 2,000 USDT

In my scenario, I want the Spend.X transactions to be 'Income - Expenditure = 8,000 USDT'.

From what I now understand, there is no way to do this in CoinTracking and I need to tag all the 'Spend.X' transactions that require this treatment, then total them, so I can manually deduct the 'Spend.X' transactions from Income...

However, what happens within CoinTracking / what do I need to do within CoinTracking?

Will this lead to a doubling up of how those Spend.X transactions are treated?
ie. the 2,000 USDT is in CoinTracking as a 'Spend' transaction...yet I'm also manually totalling them and deducting them from income...

Thanks for your assistance.

@Andreas_CoinTracking
Is there any other way of inputting 'Spend' so it can be treated differently and viewed in the reports (ideally as an expenditure). ie is there any other transaction type I can use?

I realise this is not the way most people will be doing it.

Thanks

There is no separate spend report available but you can filter for "spend" transaction e.g. on the trade list (full view) https://cointracking.info/trades_full.php for spend and e.g. 1 year (start/end date) and deduct it from your income if allowed in your country.

@paulthetafy
Please check the status with Polygon on their social media for news. And you can contact them for status update. We won´t change the provider for now as it would take weeks.

Hello,

I felt a bit crazy today and bought some Shibazilla for a few bucks.
Unfortunately the circulating supply of that coin is so high (and therefore the coin value so low) that it looks like Cointracking reached its cap of 10,000,000,000,000,000.00 coins per currency.

https://i.ibb.co/S63QDmc/Shib.png

The wallet importer also gave up.

(I hear a programmer sighing...)

Unfortunately I don't even see a workaround. :-/

Hello,

I'm trying to find out why I cannot see 'Spend' in the CoinTracking tax report (or in any reports).

ie for an Income / Expenditure report

In tax report can see the Income list/total, but I do not see a list/total for Spend...

Surely I need to deduct the Spend from the Income as part of my tax return?  Huh

Thanks

PS.
Is there any way to search within this thread?

We do not know when Binance are providing those data. So you can ask them.

As Binance does not offer all data via CSV or API. Therefor we have the warning on the page and the FAQ. If some are missing you need to add them manually.

do you know when CT is going to fix the problem?

Hi,

I wanted to ask why Binance's CSV COMPLETE IMPORT (BETA) only partially supports operations performed on Earn.

What does it mean that only partially import them?

Thx,

@SidSuper
Then you are using either the wrong files and/or the wrong Binance CSV importers. Please follow exactly the instruction pages for the CSV importers.
For Binance we recommend using API V2 together with CSV "generate all statement" (BETA) importer.
