No, it must not. Like I said, its just a warning, not an official letter form court or something like that. If Brad Rose is aware of it, and let somebody else to sign it for him, everything is ok. How do you prove, that its not his signature, if he will be claiming that he signed it? If they will take official, legal steps, then its gonna matter.

BTW
We shouldn't even argue about this case, and this pathetic exchange, crycurex is done, and I'm not gonna cry after it.
We have to wait for fully professional exchange, not amateur site.

Since when is an email cease and desist eligible? To my knowledge it must be sent via postal mail.

ITS JUST A WARNING, its not binding, it could be even signed by Brad Rose's dog, doesn't matter.

You are basically saying that anybody could have sent that letter and that it should be treated as a warning nevertheless...
If the letter is signed then it MUST be signature of the person ho is signing it and signature HAS to be THE SAME ON EVERY LETTER NOT COMPLETELY DIFFERENT!

Sorry buddy but that bit in red just isn't correct i believe, At work we send out lots of letters from the managing director, and we sign on his behalf, If the signature is preceeded with a     PP.  ( per procurationem latin for "through the agency of" )  it retains all the legal standings

I am also dubious about the letter, which firm of lawyers doesn't have a letterhead?

Also in  the original application to sue everyone (the one that contained Jane and John Does 1-50)  they reffered to Kanye as "Ye" in several places which made me question the legitimacy of the document itself As im not a huge fan of the bonehead is "Ye" a widely accepted term for Kanye or his estate?

Also  for the latest letter being a scam to be able to close down a site without paying out coins, i like the thinking of the guy that suggested this. you are very sneaky sneaky sir!

I'm not accusing anyone or making any assumptions... I'm just putting this out in the hope that a reasonable, decent, argument-based discussion would infirm or confirm my thoughts:

Do you think crycurex is just a scam and the Cease and Desist letter from yesterday is a forgery that acts as a false pretext to shutdown and not pay out any coins??

I want to make this clear; I am not accusing anyone.. I'm just wandering

PS: I haven't invested anything in crycurex (couldn't get a wallet); I'm not affected by it; I'm just curious. What do you think?

At the moment I would say yes. If I get my coins (not much) I will change my mind and promote them again Smiley

At the moment, everything that is going on with crycurex doesn't make any sense (the letter itself, different signatures, explanation of different signatures from crycurex.com, taking them a lot of time to delist one coin, manually confirming deposits...).

This first thing I would do is to ask the lawyer to write the letter in MY LANGUAGE. I think everyone has the right not to understand English.

I am currently coding the first decentralized protocol exchange, I have planned to launch this protocol with a coin tbd.

I was hoping that I could give the Coinye community a decentralized place to exchange Coye.

This exchange is p2p.

Thanks,
Gadsden

-get back to me! (PM)

Great idea...since crypto is decentralized, maybe it is time for decentralizing the exchanges as well.
The there is sure as hell no-one to scare into closing down.
Would like to see how this pan out.

Someone please explain me the following concerning the signatures.

Good find dude...you and the community are why cryptos in general are so great.

Bottom line, this coin is either doomed to a miserable scam death or will continue its pursuit of eternal life (and suffering....as Yeezus would say)!

Either way, the drama is certainly entertaining.

Crycurex is in maintenance: See: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.4683695.

One page above it announces to remove coye from trading. Your balance will be restored.

Simple fact is Mr West DOES NOT own the intellectual rights to the name COYE or COINYE.  These names have also been removed as a reference to him by removing the West from the name.

This means that he now has NO legal right what so ever to sue or block the use of a coin with these names.

Continue using it and stick 2 fingers up at this jumped up layer who is pushing his luck and knows damn well he would lose in a court or law in any country.

I agree with you, but lawyers don't have a problem with convincing a court of law this is plagiarism/infringement simple because it derives from Kanye Sad

Read that letter.  Where does it say the layers are going to sue Smiley  it doesn't.  They know they cannot sue for someone using the name cote so what they state in the letter is..  We will tell the crypto community lol.

The initial letters that went out when the coin was coiyne west were threatening court action which they had a right to do.

Now that its called just coinye it has separated itself and they know this.  So now they know they cannot use court action so they are trying to scare people.

I agree... however if a Little change on the name could help with the legal issue maybe dev team should do it.

COYE --> KOIN or KOYE or thinks like that...
+1 Change the name now and post an official thread stating that the coin longer has any reference to previous coin.  All legally sound then and we get on with mining and trading Smiley
