In the rare event it does become mainstream, you won't be able to move for the celebrity endorsed coins.

I think this is inevitable. May take 2-3 years, or it may start happening in 2014, but you will see celebrities/companies/brands creating currencies regularly.

You will see companies devoting massive resources to be one of the top currencies/payment systems - if Apple or Google isn't working on something like this already I'd be amazed. The potential benefits for them would be huge.

This coin is going to lower all alt coin prices by 25%.

SELL SELL SELL any alt coins that you own.

This coin will be a flash in the pan. Its short success will just spawn other crap celebrity coins. It may seem fantastic now, but wait until there's a celebrity coin released on a daily basis. This is purely novelty. Nothing more. Coin mining is not mainstream. The trap would be in thinking this is taking coin mining mainstream. It's not. It's just getting the pumpers and dumpers excited. In the rare event it does become mainstream, you won't be able to move for the celebrity endorsed coins.

Throw as many mhash you can at it from launch, then dump it as soon as it hits an exchange. Worthless media-hyped drivel.
I dont think itll be even worth throwing any hashes at it during launch. Every other pre announced hype train has ended in de-railment with people wasting hours and hours as the blocks get forked and pools go down.
Stay away is the best advice i think heh!

Hey, I'm not going to stop anyone throwing m/hash at it. Less competition.  Grin

The big problem is everyone knows this is a shit pump and dump coin and there won't be enough retards buying. Plus the site will probably have a cease and desist, considering their logo is stolen and they're attempting to profit off of someone's likeness.

It's also very obvious the coin creators are just a media publicity group who have no idea what they are doing and won't possibly be prepared for all the hate and attacking their giant turd will get from the community.

This won't do anything but lose idiots money. "Mainstream" people are too stupid for cryptocurrency anyway.

This coin is going to crash and burn so hard.  It's whether this "company" is going be the one to do it, or the dumpers. All they've done is set themselves up for the biggest pump ever.

Not even going to touch this one. My coins would be worthless before I even blinked.

Why in the world does modifying the max # of coins pre-launch make this a scam? People who say scam for ANYTHING THEY DON'T LIKE are retarded and should be ignored by everyone on this forum.

Actually with 666,666 coins per block and the reward halved every 100,000 blocks, it was 133,333,333,333 right from the start.

TOTAL AND UTTER COMPLETE SCAM GUYS STAY AWAY

IN the following article both they and the journalist make a few mistakes:

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/business/news/kanye-west-gets-his-own-virtual-currencythe-coinye-west-9038055.html

Quotes from the Article 1."the online business is not affiliated with Kanye West," 2.They say they can “picture a future where Coinye is used to buy concert tickets, with cryptographically verified virtual tickets.” 3. "They have offered the controversial star 100,000 Coinye ahead of the launch on 11 January" 4. "The company has not provided further details about its operations or how many people are involved in Coinye West."

So... they admitted to pre-mining, reserving stocks, the journalist made a boo boo when he called them out twice for being a business and a company... then they offered Kanye some of the coins, you dont just have access to the Kanye's phone number unless your in the biz... lol what a scam! So many people are going to get duped!

Notice how they say they are Not s PR company, but they dont say they are not a company at all... they just say they are a few guys... this means they are not lying and not being completely honest... I personally think they are a media company or a music firm IMHO.

Lastly a twitter user already caught them amending the total supply figures.. how do they explain that?

Oh GOD DAMN! How about we see news on bbc about this? "Conye Crypto currency is a SCAM" Emailing them now as we speak.
