My class3 FFL is in Pompano. His name is Kurt, goes by Steyr Aug. He runs out of his house. He's awesome and AFAIK never had a problem. Last time I picked up there I got to go play with a MP5SD Tongue

I have also used Bob Howell, He's nearby. He setup my NFA firearms trust.

If I was staying in FL, I'd totally get it. But i just happen to be moving to MASS, they don't even allow home ffls. Sad

Personally I would stay away from getting your own personal FFL/Class 3 license. Ask yourself one question, do you really trust that the government will be your buddy when you apply for, receive and start buying class 3 weapons? If you ever go out and buy another weapon after you get your license, no matter what it is, it must be reported and permitted. They can and do perform random house checks on class 3 permit holders. Not spreading FUD, it's just not worth it. Find a local dealer who lets you rent his class 3 firearms and have your fun. I have a guy in my town that runs an event called full-auto Fridays, I get my kicks and it doesn't cost me $15,000 and my privacy.

Liduidxd summed it up nicely.  Traffic cops, IRS, and the ATF are the only organizations I fear, and I try and do everything right.  No need to invite them into your home!

I only worry about Local LEO, feds tend to leave me alone unless I'm doing something comically stupid - "What do you mean I can't have this 50 Cal at home? I signed for it at the arms room!"

That's because technically you're a fed. No offense  Cool

I forget that sometimes, I would remember if I got to wear a snazzy suit that wasn't my dress blues.

What's wrong with random house checks? Due to my job I have them on the regular (regular as can be), never a problem and I have some ridiculous things laying around.

What's right with random inspections from the fed?

I'd rather keep my freedom and pay a bit more for some guns.

So I'm thinking of trying out CFE223 powder instead of H4895 for .308 winchester, thru a M1A.

Anyone have good success with cfe223?  I'm a little worried it will overpressure the op rod..

MA has a law that no FFL can have same address as a residence...  I have helped customers create a new address, like 217 1/2 Main Str, etc.  They just make it harder at state level

stupid effing mass laws.

Does anyone have a home FFL/Class 3 license? I am thinking about applying for it using the kit from http://www.ffl123.com/

Anyone have experience with this company?
I don't have one, but I'm also thinking about it. Could you let us know what you think of the kit if you get it?

I'm going to reach out the Brandon (site owner) and ask him exactly what its all about. I know there is a face-to-face meeting with the ATF, which makes me a little nervous. I'm just a normal guy that wants to get FFL and/or class 3 for personal use.

**EDIT**

Response:

Adam -

MASS is near impossible.  Do you have access to a "commercial" location in MA ?

I would stay in FL Smiley

Thanks,
Brandon

A couple weeks ago I spent the weekend with the CEO of AuctionArms (now called GunAuction.com).  Stayed up late talking about bitcoins.

Talked to him yesterday and he told me he has been mining and has accumulated a coin or two.  I asked him to make sure when he gets his FFL in a few months to be sure to accept btc, and to integrate btc into his website, and to allow btc payments for NRA memberships. He is open to the idea...we shall see.
