Tomorrow, Argentina will take on Bolivia in a CONMEBOL 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier on their home soil. Argentina are already top of the South American World Cup qualifying standings with six wins from nine matches. Argentina's opponents Bolivia, on the other hand, have won just four out of nine matches but their performances in their last five matches have been impressive. After observing Argentina's performance in the last five matches, everyone might predict that this match is going to be tough for Argentina against Bolivia.

Argentina's performance in the last few matches seems very poor. Argentina last drew 1-1 against Venezuela but many soccer fans picked Argentina as the favorite in that match. However, in the match between Argentina and Bolivia, I don't want to put Argentina as a favorite because of their current lack of performance.

It looks like some of the top team are predicted to win, I just hope that the same thing as in the previous match does not happen which makes some of the top team suffer bad results.
- Colombia
- Uruguay
- Argentina
- Brazil
These four team are favorites in today match and I think making them choice in betting is good thing if the game can really go well and there are no surprises in each match later.
But one match for Paraguay vs Venezuela is the most difficult to predict because they are on par and always appear unstable, but it is possible that this match will end in draw, below are the odds given by the bookies and show the numbers for the top team are relatively very thin.

Looking at the next matchday to have some light of recovery (bets), if I have breakeven with this next matchday of Conmebol it would be good for me Smiley
I need to confess that I'm rooting for Bolivia in this match  Cheesy
Can you imagine a win against Argentina?

But it's almost impossible, Argentina will play at home after a draw. They will probably win with a lot of goals in front of their fans

Tempted to go on final round of games for a recovery, but I don't want to tell you guys just how much I actually lost, mainly on Nations League but I can probably blame Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina mainly heh.

A tempting acca are all these 3 on a big ticket. Would definitely ease my loss -- but also compound it badly if they don't win. But now that you mention a Bolivia upset? 17/1 I think I just might take it...

I need to recover my lost bets too, I think the next round will not have many surprises like past one
I think Brazil, Colombia and Argentina will win their matches, I don't know about Venezuela and Uruguay yet

Watch out for Argentina-Bolivia, the team from the highlands is the most inspired at the moment, with 3 consecutive victories against Colombia, Chile and Venezuela... so, as my doctor says, "reserved prognosis", or maybe as ever are in Conmebol, let's see a feast of goals, and the analysis goes with the villain of variance.  Smiley

Brazil played well but were not convincing. They made silly mistakes and only wanted to score goals from crosses. When they were facing the penalty area, they didn't finish. They had 70% of the possession but couldn't create any chances. They just kept going to the wings and crossing. This is so true that the second goal was scored individually, not collectively, and it was a shot that no one else had attempted during the entire game.
Yes, Brazil has a bad team right now. The coach has to make some adjustments yet on the main squad. There so many options of players available that I don't understand why Dorival insists on the same players game after game. Current players don't have any chemistry in field, and that is why they fail concluding successful plays. Maybe Brazilian national team needs to add another players from Botafogo to raise performance. Goalkeeper John and midfielder Gregore and Marlon Freitas are some suggestions. Wink

The Brazilian national team has never lacked quality players. Indeed, they have a lot of ammunition, for virtually all of the players that get the call-up to the national team, ply their trade in the top leagues of Europe. So, Dorival's reason for persisting with the same team in every match might not be because he has no alternative, but to build some chemistry and cohesion among the players. It is important because that has actually been the main problem for Brazil these last few weeks; there has not been any harmony on that field. While continuing to use the same players in the squad to improve the relationship between players, it seems that the chemistry that is expected has not perfectly been built. The biggest challenge is how to make all the players work as a solid unit on the field. However, Brazil has the time and great potential to improve this because they always have extraordinary player material.

I think that Peru has the "bad luck" of perhaps facing Brazil, who is not doing well, and having as a reference a tie with Venezuela in their territory, this is important because it is a rarity, and it tells us how bad Brazil is doing, I think that in this match is the money of my recovery, we must remember that in their first match and with a lackluster Peru, Brazil beat them at home by just one goal.

I will enjoy the other games as a football fan, since they are a 33, that is 33(1),34(x),33(2) Smiley they are not even a coinflip.

The reality is that the 6th position is not certain and the 7th even less so, but we can already have more light on who will be fighting with real possibilities.

If Peru goes all out against Brazil, I'm sure they'll win. Just look at what their other opponents have done and mix it into their team's strategy and they'll be able to do something. The national team is not doing well and is suffering, any team can beat them now.

OH! Brazil, there is Brazil, they were losing 1-0... they did what they know how to do, and what we like Brazil to do... there is no national team in the whole world, mind you, in the whole world, in which one waits until the last minute for them to come back in a match, no national team manages to do it as efficiently as Brazil.

ehh! sorry Chile

For those who wanted excitement in CONMEBOL qualifiers, it couldn't have been better after this last round of matches  Cheesy

After the Copa America it seems that some things have changed, but we still need some more time to be sure
For the championship as a whole, it was good that Peru and Bolivia finally managed to win, which will make it more competitive, even with the 6 teams qualifying directly

In Brazil we have Corinthians who are exactly what you said, who achieve many victories and qualifications in the last minutes of the game, when no one else believes...

Today some of the top team played very disappointingly, Ecuador vs Paraguay ended in 0 - 0 draw and Venezuela vs Argentina also ended in 1 - 1 draw so they made some fans disappointed because Ecuador and Argentina are favorite team.
Brazil itself played quite well today by winning the match against Chile with score of 1 - 2 even though they were in trouble with several players being absent, this was result they deserved as predicted earlier.
From the failure of the two match between Ecuador and Argentina made me lose my bet, this was failure that actually didn't make sense, for Ecuador vs Paraguay it could still be said to be reasonable result but for Argentina it was very surprising with the draw.
~snip~
It's unbelievable seeing the result of Argentina and Venezuela yesterday. Although, it doesn't have much effect on Argentina since they are still the one topping the group but it's unfortunate to see players struggling to play in such ground full of water. The players could not even move comfortably due to too much water that accumulate on the field because of lack of drainage system. I don't know why they approve such playing ground to host official and international games. A draw result is not bad in a game like this and glad that the players didn't sustain serious injuries because that playing ground is not in any way close to international standard.
This draw still makes Argentina top the standings with 19 points and below them is Colombia who has 16 points, but if Colombia wins the match against Bolivia then they can match Argentina with the same 19 points and unfortunately both ended their respective matches with bad results.
For the match between Argentina and Venezuela, it looks like the Argentine players are having difficulty playing well, on the other hand they are also in less than optimal condition because there are several players who have to be absent from the match due to suspension and injury.
Weather did affect the course of the match but there was delay for some time until the conditions really improved, I did not see any problems in the condition of the field which at some points looked flooded because I admit Venezuela game in terms of defense is very good, they can withstand every attack from the Argentine players and this is why the draw occurred.

I'm officially staying off the current crop of games. Peru not going down easy was probably not my expectation, but I should have seen them smacking Uruguay away after the Bielsa rumours swirling around (Not something I'd expected from Suarez, though I rather agree it's not a good atmosphere, while actually still backing the coach).

~ then Peru against Uruguay (I lost money here, just like with Argentina) wins... against a rival that, although it's true that they're not at their best, they are superior.

Pity the games are just an hour or two beyond me able to watch them. Might have not bet if I could actually see the teams playing.

[/quote] P.S. Damn, totally forgot about this thread rdluffy and guys. Was looking at the spamfest that's the WC qualification thread and then remembered there was something for you LatAm guys.

That's the thing about Conmebol, there's a lot of variance, when teams seem headed for victory, they lose, you have Bolivia, they were there, the experts had practically decided it to Bolivia out, then Peru against Uruguay (I lost money here, just like with Argentina) wins... against a rival that, although it's true that they're not at their best, they are superior.

In fact, now everyone mathematically still has a chance, and that happens because out of 10 teams, 7 go through (6 direct + 1).

With the combination of all the results, it was great for Brazil, who could even finish the next round in 4th place.

It seems that Argentina didn't play like they would against Brazil or Uruguay for example hehehe
The field was really damaged, but this draw was good for both teams, both got 1 point and with the combination of results from the other teams, it was great for Venezuela and Argentina

Following on from my surprise of the first round, Uruguay also had a very surprising result, losing to Peru, who were in last place  Shocked

Indeed Argentina not performed well when being draw from Venezuela but their position keep secure on the first standings place behind three points remaining from Colombia. Have one match left for this month match qualifier and Argentina will face Bolivia with bigger opportunity get easily securing three points keep defend on the top place awhile. Playing on home match, Argentina get more motivate for securing three points to make easily get qualify to FIFA World Cup 2026 as the first standings position finish teams.

The victory over Chile make Brazil recently moving up to 4th standings position and their points keep closing with Uruguay after losing last match or get opportunity move to 2nd place if Colombia loss on upcoming match against Chile. For upcoming match, Brazil will face Peru and seems not difficult with three points achievement to reach the top third standings place or get opportunity moving to runner up position before playing on next month match qualifying.

Peru won the Match against Uruguay with 1-0 goal which is surprising cause after playing eight games, this is first time peru have won a single Match against their opponent team and until that, Peru, was at the bottom of the qualifying table with 6 point and chile is currently on the bottom. Well it is unfortunate for Uruguay inspite of a strong team. They are doing well in this CONMEBOL 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification matches, currently they are in 3rd position of the qualifying table where they won four matches already out of nine. Against peru team, Uruguay was dominating while start the match but gradually they were slow down. And same thing also happened in 2nd half too. Peru did many fouls but Uruguay kept trying well even their performance, passing accuracy were good enough. Many people expected from Uruguay to score a goal even in last minutes but Maximiliano Araujo scored a goal at 88" minutes behalf of peru. He was the game changer and we saw the  unexpected lost of Uruguay

Well, Argentina had very good "@"s, so I didn't doubt to betting it,  the reality is that the state of the field favored Venezuela, the drainage didn't work or it was a strategy of Venezuela, but it worked, and it doesn't matter now, although Messi in a later interview admitted that they shouldn't have played with those conditions of the field, but being practically classified, I really think they gave Venezuela a bonus to get into or better say continue in the fight for a a place in the Fifa WC.

It seems that Argentina didn't play like they would against Brazil or Uruguay for example hehehe

Looking to the future, Peru is looking to see the light of a way out of the bottom of the table. Against Uruguay, a game scheduled for 9:30pm GMT, I don't see a chance for Peru, let's hope that with the new coach their chances improve.
Unfortunately they lose. Tongue

Uruguay is nothing different to Norway, have two players who're playing in the top teams, but it's still not enough to carry their teams. There are no big players in Peru, all of them are from their domestic leagues.

This is pure of luck because Peru don't even have good results in their previous match.

I like to treat everyone as a friend 🔹

Honestly the match between Venezuela and Argentina didn't really turn out the way people predicted because since Argentina has been in a winning form, majority of people just felt they will win Venezuela but when the match ended in a draw it left a lot of people losing their bets and not only you. Imagine Boliva beating Columbia, it was also a game no one saw Columbia losing then for Ecuador winning Paraguay it is understandable and also Brazil winning Chile. Due to how Brazil have not been stable some people were having doubt of Brazil winning but it is good they won so that people can start having more confidence in their ability to win matches.

Basically it was a tough game between two teams and the match was very good, especially we got to see some surprises.  Although most of the people bet in favor of Argentina, and they predicted that Argentina will win this match. No one expected this match to be a draw, as Venezuela were attacking well after half-time and their defense was excellent. As a result they scored and drew the match, although here I think some of Argentina's attacks were not that strong, but the opposition defended well. Yes, in these matches each team won differently and drew match Colombia team and lost against Bolivia. However, many people said that Brazil team might lose the match against Chile, but they got a great win, however I think many who bet on this game lost here.

If you know, you know!
My predictions that Brazil will win by at least two goals was correct. Both teams needed the win badly to rekindle thier hope of qualifying. But it seems Brazil was more hungrier and mother luck was also on thier side. The expression of pain and disappointment by the Chilean players after the 89th goal by Luiz Henrique was heartbreaking.

It was a stunning closing goal, Brazil managed to make systematic passes from their area until finally Luiz Enrique scored for Brazil. I didn't expect Chile to be at the bottom of the standings after the match was over, they could only have 5 points from 9 matches. Paraguay and Peru also didn't do their best, in contrast to Bolivia who managed to surprise everyone with their achievements.

I think that you should always add all the information you can to avoid giving false intentions, really perhaps the sarcastic tone is intrinsic in my post, if one understands that it is impossible to control the weather, no one can manipulate rain, if I explain, on the other hand, it denotes the deficiencies that Venezuelan soccer lives, a very nice stadium, an acceptable grass but a terrible drainage, austere, which was given an hour to work, and they even did manual work to try to improve the conditions, but it never improved, it was a pool. (And yes, it was something that hurt both teams, but for the Argentine game it was a major harm)

But in reality it was something that the Venezuelans took advantage of, or better to say the benefits, but those facts are the special things of this Conmebol, a field in bad condition, a team that plays at more than 5 thousand meters of altitude, but shows that it can win outside of that land, in that idea Venezuela rescues a valuable draw against Argentina, and it is worth saying a very nice goal.

Looking to the future, Peru is looking to see the light of a way out of the bottom of the table. Against Uruguay, a game scheduled for 9:30pm GMT, I don't see a chance for Peru, let's hope that with the new coach their chances improve.

Yesterday I lost the bet because I believed Argentina would win
But I confess I was very happy that Venezuela drew the game and avoided another Argentina victory

And I was surprised by almost all the matches:
Bolivia beat Colombia  Shocked
Ecuador didn't beat Paraguay at home  Tongue
Brazil narrowly avoided a draw  Roll Eyes

Honestly the match between Venezuela and Argentina didn't really turn out the way people predicted because since Argentina has been in a winning form, majority of people just felt they will win Venezuela but when the match ended in a draw it left a lot of people losing their bets and not only you.
