In the next matches or tournaments should further tighten the health protocols, that is, something else. Never mind the needless ones at the event. Staffing should also be reduced as well. Do not let them down because as of now, this disaster is not over, all is not safe. May they have the opportunity to know and think about the well-being of others and not just themselves.

A funny incident occurred in the football championship of my country: one of the teams was quarantined because infected players were found. The match was not canceled, and as a result, one team played with full professional staff and 17-year-old boys played in the second team.
The result of the match is 10-1  Grin For football, this is a monstrous score.

Perhaps those people who were free to make the decision to cancel the match were interested in losing the team that suffered because of the coronavirus. Maybe they were betting in a bookmaker's office even before the information about the illness of most players became known to the public.

Infection cases are going up almost all over the world. It has been stated the EU infection rates have recently dropped but now that Italy and Spain are beginning to open up to tourists once again and also with the lock down restrictions becoming extremely relaxed in the United Kingdom - things might change with an upward curve or spike. The UK government spokesman said yesterday they expect the virus to be  active at least until next summer.

Some states in the US and also in countries such as Mexico and Brazil the virus is rampant.

Countries like Spain, Italy and Greece simply can't afford to lose tourism because of Covid19 because that's the only way they know to make money. (France depends on it a lot too)

The damage is already done and it is huge.

No amount of FIAT printing can reverse the momentum.

And winter is coming.

Due to the virus sports and tournaments are closed in many places No one is accustomed to go directly to the field and watch the game This is why online gambling competition has increased so much this time. However everything will return to normal and the game will actually restart No one is willing to take a risk because the players are infected The demand for tennis and basketball is high.

I think it’s hard to say that everything will return to normal, although this is a very likely outcome.
The problem is that the virus can mutate and turn into something new, in addition, doctors say that no one is safe from re-infection, which in itself already raises doubts in the future.

The new wave of the virus that everyone is talking about now may return quarantine measures that affect our whole life so much.
Then online will blossom even more.

Yes, this is a big win. That team set 3 new records in the championship of my country. Formally, everything is correct, but everyone understands the injustice of this event. It's funny that years will pass and few will remember the reason for this event, but the set records will remain (unless someone else updates them of course)  Undecided

The win is so substantial that it  makes you wonder why they thought it was a good idea to still go ahead with the match? It was clear the team was at a disadvantage. In light of this, assuming that the mangers (or whoever was in charge of this) still pressed on despite the downside, would only make it unfair to the winning team to have the score removed from the records, even though I can understand why this may not seem representative of the team's abilities.

Yes, this is a completely unfair event. The winning team insisted on holding the match before quarantine for the main players of the opposing team ended. This is how the wives of the players of the losing team answered the team that thus shamefully won:

The situation is such now that people are waiting for some sports to start irrespective if it is their favourite or not. Just in my case as well I am waiting for some sports to begun and have fun watching the live event. But yes, safety is necessary and in order to prevent the players getting effected things are being either postponed or being cancelled.

Why not continue with cyber leagues just like we are seeing some SRLs for cricket, soccer and tennis? Why do we need our top players to enter the courts and play during this pandemic? I think we need to change our mentality too that it's time to become mature enough to treat those players as humans too and know that they can too get infected and infect other major players too.

That's their profession that's why. People are paying money to see these players.

I know players will understand the situation and the risks they are dealing with. It's just unfortunate that some become infected while playing.

The sad truth but the sports industry needs to move on.

I think it is the player responsibility now of what to do.Of course he can opt to not play and participate in the tournament but that will lose the player some reputation.I would understand completely a player who refuses to participate because of this pandemic. He choose to play and now have to face the consequences.

Actually the people are not paying money just to see their favorite players or maybe their favorite teams. People are just their for them to make money and bet on the tram that they look have the chance to win and give them some money.

But I've seen also some people who are wanting it to see their teams because they are probably associated with them and they are fan of it.

Sports really needs to move on due to this bad outcome of the pandemic happening today. Hope to see more sports on the next few months when the pandemic gone.

50k+ new cases and more  than 1k deaths happened yesterday in Brazil.

USA reported 33k new cases, 700 deaths. (Yesterday)

Mexico is not in a good shape neither.

Reported case/death numbers in EU is slowing down but like everybody else, I find it hard to believe.

People are not panicking as hard as they used to, don't know if that's a good thing or not. Time will tell.

We think that things are going to be just fine and that's when the worst takes place to destroy more. Novak Djokovic seems to be hit hard with his family and will definitely have a great change observed in his game after his recovery because of the damage this virus will cause him inside. This proves that health matters a lot over wealth.

djokovic and his wife have been tested positive for covid19.
A real bad news for his fans and tennis world. Football world have also experienced its impact and due to covid 19 worldwide football fans have already waited for a long time to watch their favourite team matches. Although football leagues are running their matches but i don't know how longer they will be able to continue. Overall situation can get complicated anytime.

Sports person have higher immunity level and better fitness which help them to make faster recoveries. Hope "Novak djokovic" will get well soon and will see him on 78 feet Court again.

I don't think it should be regarded as a laughing matter. Regardless of their physical training athletes  all got something in common - they are just  ordinary people susceptible to the disease. If all of them get sick  that will be the end of sport betting.

I agree with you.

Personally, I can only agree that the situation itself can be called funny.  The club did the right thing deciding to put up a young team instead of a technical defeat.
All the same, the more difficult the conditions for the game, the stronger the growth of skills.  It is amazing that such a young team was able to score even 1 year for professionals.

I wonder what was the coefficient for such event.

djokovic and his wife have been tested positive for covid19.

I can't understand (from a scientific point of view) why some one should refuse a vaccine.
People are forgetting that a lot of people die each day in third/fourth world countries due disease that are avoided with a vaccine.
In the past it was the same, and nowadays it's full of examples of the REAL BIG DAMAGE created by refusing vaccine.

Why some one with a minimum level of brain should refuse it?
Well there is no real scientific reason to refuse it. This is just a way to be more cool and sophisticated or a way to hide the strong level of ignorance developed meantime.

Borna Coric (33th) and Grigor Dimitrov (19th) two top players (Tennis ATP) have been infected during ADRIA TOUR.
https://www.essentiallysports.com/tennis-news-atp-twitter-hits-out-at-novak-djokovic-for-adria-tour-after-cancelation-of-finals-grigor-dimitrov/
And the final match has been suspended due this issue!
So for many of us that was thinking about "how the sport will resume" this is a nightmare scenario.
If it was needed a confirmation It's pretty clear that we can't resume sport activity as usual Sad unless the "big wave" is passed.
Ultimate Tennis Showdown https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/new-sport-ultimate-tennis-showdown-5255220 probably is the only way to play "safe" tennis (no audience, no secondary events etc etc)

Some of the sports organizers and people here thought of things such as continue the sports but people should only be allowed to watch in their homes which I see that is good for considering a utilitarian approach of avoiding mass spreading of the virus. But it risks the lives of the players just for the sake of providing an exciting match. In the first place, their game will not be that good as there will be no cheerings to boost up their plays, second, there will be no homecourt advantage for either team. And lastly, They can acquire the virus from other players especially for games that have direct physical contacts.

@Debonaire217 when Djokovic first announced that he wasn’t keen to take vaccines or medicines for covid I understood his concerns, as I felt that he was talking a right stand as no one should be forced to take vaccines against their will. However by organising this event he’s made me question his mentality, and instead of being apologetic he’s yet not ready to accept his mistake which is really sad, and I hope for his own sake he will apologise soon.

The best would be to put all the athletes with their families and teams into one isolated city where no one is allowed to enter or leave. Then there would be no risk of corona virus getting in or out. Also the players wouldn't need to travel and fly anymore as everyone is in one place already. You would only need playing fields as there won't be any visitors except the camera crews. Every new person wanting to come into that city would need to be on a 2 week quarantine to ensure safety.
That will be difficult because all of the athletes or players have the same city or country, which can cost too much money.
It makes sense if they are isolated in their city, and if the match starts, the player can go to the destination place to play the games, while their family can watch in their isolated place.
There will be many things to be set up before the sports events can start, and that will not just work for the staff of the sports events, but the people who want to visit that place will be necessary.
And if people can do that, maybe the sports event will start without any worry.

This means that there was something wrong with the preparation for the return of sports matches due to the fact that there was a player who was confirmed to be in the coronavirus. And in that case, sports events can be stopped again and the rest of the league will be lit. Maybe they are too excite and rush so there are missed processes and not all are safe.

The main concern is of the staff and employees as during this lockdown they would not have got paid and many would have lost their jobs as casinos may reduce the staff considering the situation and the future. Also for big casino owners who have a good cash available with them would not be effected as they can easily survive this, for the small casinos owners who are hand to mouth situation would again be effected with it.

It is one of the source that is researchable in google saying that this bigtime casino "Okada Manila" is reducing their employees. It is such a heartbreak due to even how big and successful this casino is, they still cannot manage to hold all their employees during this pandemic time.

There is a need to lessen employee but i am sure this is only for a certain time that the operation is just starting, sooner when the things comes back to normal for sure there is a increasing demand for employment.

Lets bear with the situation because operators don't want this to happen but they are no choice if they wanted the business to continue.

Coronavirus opened up the world to esports which wasn't bad and I had a fair share of it but it seems like we had too much of it and missed out seeing real people play for a long time but thank God games are now starting to be played again which is something we all missed though spectators are still regulated zero to none.

Good for esport but it does not only for that, the online gambling world was getting more gamblers due to this pandemic and we in the crypto space also enjoy that since crypto gambling are also very competitive with the online fiat gambling.

Yes, sports will resume soon, I am also excited especially on NBA games where after the short games for elimination, we are going to witness the most awaited which is the playoffs.
