Release version created on Github.

A release version has been created on Github. Release binaries will be added to http://credits-currency.org as soon as a full sync on a node on mainnet has been done. The sync on that node is currently on block 285000 on the bitcoin blockchain.

To upgrade to this version a full sync has to be done, or initialising from a prepackaged working dir. A reindex can NOT be done anymore. A prepackaged up to date working dir will be published at the same time as the binaries are published.

https://github.com/credits-currency/credits/tree/release-version-0.9.1.70

Please read the release notes carefully before upgrading and make sure to backup credits_wallet.dat and bitcoin_wallet.dat.

Expect the binaries for version 0.70 to be published in a day or two.

Does it mean I cannot use the existing working directory and have to sync from the beginning? That will take a long time.

If you want to upgrade, yes. I will however publish an up to date new working directory that you can download via torrent and do a quick initialisation from.

I have downloaded the wallet and fired it up.

I notice you have to download the bitcoin blockchain.........

I already have a fully up to date bitcoin node, is there any way I can import this into the wallet rather than download it all again?

Your coin looks promising by the way

You can import the bitcoin wallet file into Credits and use the Credits wallet as the wallet for both Bitcoin and Credits. Unfortunately you can not directly import the bitcoin blockchain into Credits. Credits adds extra info the Bitcoin blockchain. You CAN however, copy the Bitcoin blockchain files (blk000xxx.dat) into Credits and start the wallet with the -reindex parameter, which will rebuild all the internal databases. This process for the moment takes about 8 hours on a fast computer.

Yes! You can import your bitcoin privkey into Credits I'm fairly certain, with this wallet version. Then you would only have to use one client!

Some notes on the coming release

It has been very difficult to get the improvements correctly into place, therefore the coming release, 0.9.1.70, has been delayed.

I believe I am on top of things right now however, and kindly ask you to have some more patience. I'll add updates here as soon as I have some reliable results.

We are currently in the first spot on the C-Cex voting list. Therefore I've asked C-Cex managers to hold the addition of Credits to the exchange until the coming release is done.

Time is necessary to get things in place, including testing though. Having a stable a good client is what we want and will have, and the new users that join our community from ccex will see that we have a hard working and dedicated developer. Thanks for all your work!

As for the exchange, I'm just excited to see what our volume will be like!

So any update on this exchange? Wink

Yeah we are now in the top spot again on C-Cex:

If you are talking about the integrated decentralised exchange that I've been discussing, that's two to three months into the future!
