A major weakness of Pakistan is that when the top order is over, the match is over. It is difficult to win against a good opponent in such situations. As England is a complete team. England can be defeated by a combined effort. Pakistan have some good points here and if they can stay on the pitch especially top two wickets they can score a lot of runs. On the other there have good bowlers too. They can also do well in bowling action. But the Australian pitch is suitable for England where it will be hostile towards Pakistan.
Pakistan bowlers are bowling their heart out and if the batsman can perform well then they would have the ability to win the title. It all depends upon the toss as i think it is crucial and then the Pakistan top order has to perform if they are to win as their middle order is always struggling to score runs throughout this tournament. England have a complete team even though they have some injury concerns they have one of the best all round team in the tournament.

Greg Barclay has been re-elected.  Grin

That would be disastrous for the sport of cricket. Now the pig-4 countries will become even more powerful, and smaller nations would be ignored. It also means that the sham eligibility system would remain in place, under which entire playing XI for "national" teams will be created 100% from foreign players. This will also negatively impact the inclusion of cricket in olympics. And the worst part is that Jay Shah has been elected as the head of Finance and Commercial Affairs committee. That will push the smaller nations to the fringe even more.

No matter who got elected the policies won't change much.  The smaller nations will always get ignored while the rich board will do everything to make them more rich.

India already lose Semi final From England. Now let's see who win the Final Match. Pakistani Batsman always best. Hopefully, Rizwan and Babber make incredible Partnership as well as Bowlers also good. So, who will the T20 World Cup 2022 Pakistan or England??

The weather prediction in Melbourne is not good for both Sunday and the reserve day, Monday.
So it may be possible that Weather wins at the end of the day which will not be good for the teams and spectators. Also, i am not in favor of reduced 10 over match. It should be a full 20 overs without interruption and DLS calculations.

Today Pakistan vs New Zealand Match
Both teams played well and outstanding. But Pakistan won semi finals by their balling and betting performance. So let's see Final Match which team won the Final Match??
It was an easy win at the end for Pakistan and they are through to the final - today England and India will compete. Most people predict that India and Pakistan will be playing FINAL. And there will be gambling and betting and lots of money moving around at the back..

Pakistan really gave their best yesterday, batting wise, balling, fielding ,all was perfect. They displayed some excellent cricket and beat Newzealand easily. Now let's see who'll win today India or England and join Pakistan in finals.

Yes it true true that If Rizwan and Babar Azam can do well there will be chance to win of Pakistan but match prediction is still on the England side . And if you see the England teams middle and top both order side is more strong than Pakistan and this is one reason to keep England one step ahead .  At the end of the day if rain  doesn't spoil the match hopefully we will see a competitive game.

That's true to an extend Pakistan win is mostly in hands of its openers Muhammad Rizwan and Babar Azam  but Muhammad Haris ,Shan Masood and Iftikhar Ahmed are also performing very well batting wise . Pakistan balling is their lifting point if they want to win they should ball first and control runs and wickets (if they wins toss tomorrow).

Despite of all the weakness - Pakistan reached the final.
They have been certainty lucky to have reached the finals. Good luck to team Pakistan but I have at the back of my mind. Maybe England will win it.

Aha just posted the Jay Shah news in another thread.

IMHO Jay Shah as the finance head of the global committee is far more dangerous than Barclay being the Chairman because i believe BCCI is gearing up for a revenue drama (it'll impact everyone), which was started by Shashank Manohar a few years back.

Overall agree but I would like to add one important thing about the former part of your post if we are playing the % game.

It's okay but at the same time no one, literally, no one could actually quantify the actual number of spectators. For ex i watched Ind vs Pak opening match at the roadside Dhaba (last 3 overs) with like 100 people standing in the parking.

Even if we have the approximate number of spectators, it will be of limited use. Because revenue per spectator in India is much higher than the same in Pakistan. Cable TV subscription is much cheaper than what it is in India, and as far as I know online streaming platforms are not available. If you compare with India, around half of the revenue comes from online streaming platforms. Anyway, I don't expect any considerable improvement in the Pakistan market for the next decade at least. India would remain as the financial powerhouse.
For the major part of IPL TV deals were dominating the space so not half tho (from OTT) but a fair amount.

Although it has changed drastically in the last 3-4 years and it peaked during covid but going forward OTT system is the favorite to dominate this space.

Bingo!

The exact same setup is present in India (cheap cable) but a big population helps the BCCI and broadcaster's cause, also Prime time IPL slot helps them to cut down their losses if there are any (unlikely) and the new OTT Platforms took the revenue model to another level.

In India, penetration rates are much higher. There are more than 100 million households with cable TV access in India (around 40% of the total population), while in Pakistan this number is just 15 million (around 25% to 30% of the population). Less than 5% of the households are having access to broadband, and unlike the case with India, 3G/4G data is quite expensive. So this hampers the popularity of online streaming platforms such as SONY LIV and Hotstar. There are ~115 million 3G/4G users in Pakistan, compared to 1,150 million in India.
Here I agreed with you all about all things but here I have another question why we are comparing this all with Pakistan as they are not good market, and we have no competition with them as well so doing these all statics are completely useless for me Pakistan is currently under many domestic and international issues, and we can watch any time big drop like we have in Sri Lankan case right now issue is just World Cup, so any team can win now it's no issue with surely around millions are going to watch this match live in many countries so if India is not involved then still ICC can take good profit even it's not like when India is in but every time you can't go with India.

As we have in last many events they are not doing good performance in pressure matches, so we have to accept this ICC can also survive without them and these small countries are also good source and have value just every time India is in not positive idea in this world cup we have too many controversies even I am feeling mostly were biased but still exist and all were against India because mostly were feeling Indian influence is surely having impact, and they are using this all which is not positive thing for me.
i think what we all do is try to be an expert in everything with limited knowledge. And the point you have mentioned about not comparing India with Pakistan is right because they are different counties with different problems, yesterday i was watching a video of an India Army officer who was advising Pakistani PM - that he is most smart person to advise him what he should do. So funny

For me right now after India Pakistan is the biggest market and with now we have final between England vs Pakistan we can expect good number of fans around the world will watch this final and have good entertainment which is also going to be not bad at all.

In terms of population, Pakistan is the second largest country after India. But in terms of revenue potential, they are much below Australia and England. The reason is that cable TV revenues are much lower in Pakistan. The live content needs to be shared with the national TV, and therefore viewership for private cable channels are low. On top of that, there are too many restrictions and regulations. Internet coverage is also lower and therefore the online streaming platforms are not as popular as they are in India.

That's true Pakistan is still very under developed technology wise and availability of basic Internet facilities still there are places where no network coverages are there and all they have is thier television.  So online streaming platform like Hotstar will have comparatively less viewers.

But India losing the Semi Final is not what fans wanted - they wanted to watch India and Pakistan play Final together
That would have been the biggest bet of century have that had happened.
Would have got repetitive. We had multiple matches between India and Pakistan during the Asia Cup, and then we had another match during the T20 World Cup. There may be viewer fatigue. It will be interesting to see how many are going to tune in to watch the final match in Hotstar, given the fact that India has been kicked out of the world cup. The media rights holders (for both TV and online streaming platforms) would have hoped that India would feature in the final, but that didn't happened. Now it needs to be seen how that will impact their advertisement revenues.
No doubt Indian absence from final going to have big impact on viewer's presence on both TV and online streaming and media right holders are going to suffer big amount because Indians are crazy about this game with specially they love to be watch Indian players even I still believe this could be going good but still not like which happen in presence of India but sadly every time you can't go with this other teams are also coming here for play and win which already happening and media rights holders surely understand this all.

Oh well, then i guess I've to take your words for granted.

But still, it seems dodgy to me unless, if that day was a bank holiday or something saying this because it's kinda rare. I was just watching Eng vs Ind Semis (death overs) and still, it didn't cross 18 Million mark despite being a knockout.

LOL.. Now I am getting confused. I remember seeing the 1.1 cr mark in Hotstar. I don't know whether it was a technical error or something like that. It was a working day and therefore the numbers were even more surprising. But then, I remember seeing 7-8 million regularly for Super-12 matches not involving India. But the 18 million peak viewership number was a record (India vs Pakistan in Super-12). I confirmed it:

https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/sports/cricket/icc-mens-t20-world-cup/indiat20-world-cup/t20-world-cup-india-pakistan-blockbuster-creates-new-viewership-record/articleshow/95052786.cms

Previous record was 14 million during the Asia cup, for the match between the same set of teams.
