If they´re going to wage conventional war against Russia it´s difficult to see how that would be set up successfully. Where would the staging area be ? Poland ? Ukraine ? If they started massing troops and materiel there the Russians would simply start rolling from THEIR own in place staging areas. I guess their first major obstacle would be the Atlantic Ocean.
In case of a potential military conflict between Russia and the NATO, the only country which could counter the former militarily is the United States. The EU military is a joke. But it needs to be seen whether the US is willing to sacrifice its man and money for its vassal states.

Well, it´s a matter of very solid historical record that the U.S. has rendered every military force it has "trained" totally useless, well apart from handing U.S, supplied arms over to the enemy. And being top dogs in NATO they´ve turned that to manure as well. So, any ideas of conventional warfare against the Russians are just ridiculous pipe dreams.
Just because Russia has more soldiers doesn't change the fact that most of them have just basic training and will be armed in AKs. They can forget about getting night vision goggles, thermal sights, armor plates and so on. Their forces have been reduced, just like many other, since there's no need to protect borders inside the EU. This doesn't mean they are weak

Information about the actual ownership of these mills is difficult to obtain, but it is known that Rinat Akhmetov is having the majority stake in both the major mills. Western oligarchs might have bought significant stakes, when Tymoshenko was in power.

I think it´ll revert back to its old Russian order, at least the southern part, and then this canal will come into being. Ukraine plans to build the Black and Azov Ship Canal, which would turn the Crimea peninsula into an island...
This is a massive project that requires tens of billions of USD. Ukraine is already in deep debt, and they won't be able to afford any of this. And by the way, I can't see any major benefits from this planned canal as well....
Well, it´s an old idea of the Russians in the 19th century and the Soviets in the 20th to simplify the transport between the ports of Odessa and Mariupol.
Hmmm.. Mariupol is currently the most important steel producer in Ukraine. So it makes sense to create the canal. But as I said, it is an extremely expensive project requiring a lot of funds. The Kiev junta right now can't even feed its own people. Do you think they will seriously consider it?
