Bitcoin is not the problem it is the people who uses it in illegal ways are responsible. Bitcoin is not different in paper money but only in values and system. All currencies can be involved in evil transactions in any ways.
I agree with you, there is no exemption for any currency in the world because they are all connected for illegal things in the world because as long as it is money and can be send on a transaction then it can be used in illegal way, it is just coincidence that bitcoin is anonymous so it has a higher percentage in usage in terms of criminality.

There are a lot of criminals out there and scamming online in social Medias before we can have bitcoin. There are a lot of criminals out there in this world that they will not choose who will go to be their victims. Even if the person is not rich they will still scam people. So I don't think that you give criminals an option to think that they can use bitcoin. Or should I say how did you say that? Do you know someone that is criminal because of bitcoin?

I think what OP's trying to say is those people who are using bitcoin in an illegal way, like buying illegal drugs, and firearms online---in the deep web. But the scammers can't be called as a criminal, the right term for them is "useless" people, "lazy" people, because that is the only way they know on how to earn money by scamming people, especially the newbie in the crypto world.

The ease and speed of anonymous bitcoin transactions is reportedly a strong reason many parties use bitcoin for criminality. The newest is ransomware wannacry that asks for ransom in the form of bitcoin. But not a strong reason that bitcoin is always used for criminality, I think bitcoin is mostly used for good things like ICO instead of being used for criminality
can't be denied that bitcoin is the perfect tool to serve as a transaction like that and can increase crime. we also can't fully blame bitcoin because bitcoin is just a tool and the one who decides to commit a crime is owner. just blaming not being able to solve this problem a should make an idea for decrease the criminality.

Even without bitcoin, crime has been with the society since the beginning. It just that the criminals found a way for them to commit crimes more convenient by using bitcoin. They are using it as a mode of payments on their criminal services and by selling illegal things and bitcoin is their mode of payment.

The fact is that the increase in crime rates is increasing. They use bitcoin as a transactional tool difficult to trace by the police. So they feel comfortable to increase their criminal acts.

Which criminal gang is using bitcoin, I don't think they are using bitcoin. Most of the terrorists who found in Asian and European region, using USD for the black market transaction.
Is there are visible evidence on bitcoin being used in these activities? If there please share it here.

I bet the actual number of illegal activities that use bitcoin is but a small fraction compared to illegal acts done with our fiat currency. If it comes to a point that these activities are alarming to our government, then they have the option to either ban it or regulate its usage to a certain degree. However right now, the small number of these criminal activities is outweighed and outnumbered by legal transactions that help businesses and individuals alike.

I think criminality can happen not only using bitcoin but also other  other currency.
Like two sides of a coin.
It is the same with any other currency, the media is just trying to get people not to get involved with Bitcoin because they know that people will either get rich or they are scared that the people will start a digital currency revolution.
USD has a bunch of criminals using it though they aren’t trying to ban it by any means.

Would you believe that the existence of bitcoin has increased the number of criminality in  some countries in the world. This is the issue that was being thrown by the EuroPol and the UK Metropolitan Police. According to them bitcoin has played a huge role on the increasing criminality in their area. They added that a huge number of cybercriminals were using bitcoins in their activities.

This just shows that as bitcoin develops both advantages and disadvantages will tag along.
That is completely false, bitcoin is not creating new criminals, what it is happening is that old criminals are adapting the way they work and some are choosing to adopt bitcoin so they can commit their crimes and try to get away with it, nothing more.

Correlation does not mean causation. If criminals are using Bitcoin and crime rates are growing, it still doesn't mean that Bitcoin is the reason for it, sure it's quite convenient because of anonymity and decentralization, but if Bitcoin wasn't introduced, they would just use some other payment method, cybercrimes appeared together with the beggining of the Internet, so Bitcoin is not inherently evil.

I still remember the first time I heard bitcoin was money used for drug deals, I've also seen movies that use bitcoin for drug deals, and I've never seen a movie that uses bitcoin in addition to illegal transactions. Anyone who saw the film must have thought that bitcoin is so close to criminality. But the assumption is only for people who are new to bitcoin, if we dig deeper into the many benefits of using bitcoin

Criminal activities have been linked with any currency for eons, before money like seashells, farmers were exploited for livestock, after that seashells, than came paper money, gold, jewelry  , and the likes of it.

Just because bitcoin or cryptos are used for illegal activities is not proof or proper statistics that bitcoin is the reason for more crimes in the world.
I guess it is just because bitcoin bitcoin is anonymous but not really but we know that we can make transactions of money using bitcoin easily without being detected thats why it is so bitcoin is being use in criminality today and many illegal transaction in all over the globe.

I also agree with you on that point that is now implemented on most of the exchanges and so the users of bitcoin are using bitcoin only for good deeds they are earning a good profit from their bitcoin and so they do not need to do any criminality with bitcoin.
To be frank who really cares if the coins are used for good deeds or bad ones,i am not going to judge anyone by their actions but if someone is breaking the law they have to be punished if they are using fiat or alt coins or bitcoin, other than that if someone says that a new breed of criminals are born because of bitcoin,i really cannot digest that because they were there well before the existence of bitcoin and what ever it may be they will keep on evolving.

Yes, I believe in that, a lot of criminality is done with bitcoin, because it's easy for the actors to make bitcoin wallets, I read a lot of news about sending funds with bitcoin, and they are hard to track.
You are a new to this coin that is why you also do not know that when a person buy bitcoin then he go to any exchange for buying bitcoin and on that exchange he provide his identity by sending their real documents to the exchange so with that point it is easy to trace the bitcoin user so it is not easy for them to use bitcoin for criminals.

This just shows that as bitcoin develops both advantages and disadvantages will tag along.

Let's split crime into two categories.  Crimes that have a victim and victimless crimes.

Victimless crimes would include things like drug purchases and sales or gambling/betting where illegal.  These things were being done long before bitcoin was around and there's no victim, so it's just a "crime" as a result of a pathetic policy.  After all, "The only danger of smoking weed is that you might end up in jail".  Perhaps it does increase the ease in acquiring drugs or gambling if it's not readily available locally.

For actual crimes, with a victim, where someone is caused harm...I don't think there would be an increase with Bitcoin.
