A good gambler always focuses on his game and do not think anything else. It is good for winning a game because if you do not focus on your game, you will lose the game and your opponent will take all the money. Other thing is that you should fix a time limit for yourself and when the time ups, quit gambling immediately and also a limit for money putting in bet.
Well, focusing on a game as a good gambler is one thing and then knowing that everything is based on luck no matter how you focus as long as you are gambling is another thing and it is the latter that I believe actually makes you a good gambler as far as I am concerned. Like you said, it is always very important to limit yourself and set some restrictions. Everyone can be addicted if allowed, and that is one thing with addiction, it is no respecter of anyone, but it is only left for you to know this and know how to control those impulses whenever they start flaring up.
A good and experienced gambler look here and there in casino to find such persons that are not seems to be regular gambler because wining from such gamblers is easy. He always focuses on his game with full concentration, because if his mind is somewhere else other than gambling, he would not be able to win the game. He also fix limits for gambling and try not to accede that limit.

Personally I know many great gamblers, and they all have the same thing in common... Money managements skills. Normally being a gambler tends to come with being poor at managing your money. Most gamblers will end up losing a lot more than they think simply because they are not managing their money properly. So learn this first, keep track of every penny going in and out, and make sure you're never losing more than you can afford.
Experienced gamblers do not gamble every time, because they also know that regular gambling will not in their favor. When they realize that now it is time to quit, they don’t wait in casino and leave the place. A good gambler always gamble only those games in which he has great experience and he can use gambling tactics and strategies as well to win the game.
Yeah, what makes someone good when it comes to gambling is actually their perception towards it and their ability to control themselves. As long as you are able to control the impulses that are kicking in and you are able to limit yourself or place limit for yourself, you will always not get caught up in the gambling spree that you end up gambling all your life away without even knowing it.

A good gambler should always know when to stop, not to try recovering losses, accept their fate when they lose, and find other productive things to always do with their time than gamble all day.
That's very right, that's a good gambler, but it seems like most of us don't have that, many of the players who gamble because they want to make a profit, including me, I should admit it. they are too eager to get profit so that when he gets is a loss, they keep trying without knowing when to stop, thats why there are many players who are frustrated afterwards
yes, almost everyone who gambles does this. they just play to get profit, when they feel lost they don't want if the money at stake just disappears, finally they try to return the capital they have spent. but if the capital that has been spent cannot be returned, they will feel frustrated at losing everything. controlling emotions in gambling is certainly very necessary when playing and a good gambler must be able to control himself when deciding to stop playing even though the situation at hand is experiencing a loss

In gambling, people should play rationally, when emotions are included a game, it generally results in disappointment.

It is true but it don't happen all the time. There are these moments or times that you are really expecting that win and you can still win that game or bet unexpectedly, like it really just blows you, right?

At that time, I usually tends to stop right away I won that time. It is not that I am being full of myself or being a KJ to some of my opponents, it is just that for me, that is the climax of my game that day, when I felt that feeling. I usually feel that when I am losing a lot of streaks and then all of a sudden a won an all-in bet of mine, it is like a comeback  to me and that is the end of my gambling that day.
But at the end you made nothing right even after your comeback win at the end of the day so that is why people saying don't gamble for money just for the entertainment indeed. You also need to have some plan about when to leave the gambling on the day other than getting your money back is when I mean the time limit also important to be safe.

Also, a good gambler will know his limit and will never break his own rule. Once he reaches the targets, win or lose, he will immediately leave the game. Good gambler has plan while the bad one will follow their emotions.
Of course, limit is one thing that has always been the thing that a lot of gamblers tend not to take into consideration most of the time and in that case, they flop so badly that they tend to make wrong decisions most of the time when it comes to their inability to put themselves in check and in control.

As long as you know how to not overstep your boundaries, place a limit for yourself and do things accordingly without having to overdo things or expecting something you cannot get, then you have been able to set a principle for yourself to guide you into not becoming an addict, which is the only thing that can make you a good gambler.

Right, a good gambler should set up a limit not just for money also for time because time is money and he/she can do useful things instead of gambling.

Having limits with our gambling activities always gives us definite hope to cope up with stressful gambling situations. However emotional stress couldn't be taken or relieved by just gambling all alone, but you need to consider first your current position while performing gambling activities. Because sometimes, the ways to which you think as your stress relief will also brought you problems all around. To become that good gambler, we need to follow first those sort of advises and it serve's as our reflective ideas that will help us realize what or how to improve everyone's self.

all the criteria that you mention are very interesting especially at the second point where you say that a good gambler who can control himself, yes that is true because usually the defeat we do in terms of gambling is an uncontrolled emotion and only thinking in terms of just win.
That makes a gambler good and responsible if he can control himself. Many gamblers can't do that and even the professionals are loosing themselves though they are used to this type of hobby and source of living. Emotion is one of the hardest opponent whether in gambling or trading.
This will be depending on the game that you are playing. I think you are talking about poker and other same type of games. Having a fixed time limit won't mostly be followed. Even the best gamblers can't notice time if they are in middle of enjoyment and having their momentum.

In gambling, people should play rationally, when emotions are included a game, it generally results in disappointment.

Sometimes rational can be gone when we get losing too much so we cannot think about what the next things we need to do. It is like a trap for us because at that moment, we are far away from getting out of that places and we only want to recover the loss which even we cannot do. Controlling the emotion will be the hard things to do for every gambler.

I guess a good gambler will be considered if that person know the reason why he/she is into gambling,  why is he/she doing this,  before going in casino they will limit their self, follow it, and also they will play only in allotted budget.

We may play in casino but if we know that we have no other source of income,  dont enter in gambling because life now is really not so easy.  All the foods and some stuff are really getting high in price so set limits.

Not being able to control your emotions well in gambling will indeed affect your mentality in gambling, but the worst thing is when greed is flaring up on you that will make you lose more on the game. So there are many criteria for a gambler and we cannot equate the criteria of people who have high emotions and greed because they are different.
