Loss is part of gambling and the earlier a lot of people started knowing that, the better. Unfortunately, things do not work that way.

There could be two category of gamblers : self-satisfied gamblers and good gamblers into others eye. Because a self-satisfied gambler must be a good gambler to his heart but the criteria must be different from others. When we spend less and limit everything with gambling then every gambler must be a good gambler on their own and for others too.

A good gambler is an honest and responsible to her/his doings. They will not allow themselves of causing trouble. They are not greedy they share their profits to their family. A good gambler is optimistic and wide thinker they accepts losses.

A good gambler will actually not even expect anything such as winning at all from gambling unless he just ends up the luckiest in the world at that moment in time. Not expecting anything serious except fun from gambling will definitely help anyone not to even get to the point of having to control themselves since they already have limit and all they are after anyway is having some fun. In that way, it is more like gambling for the fun reasons and not for the getting rich reasons.

We must encourage people to become a good gambler, so people won't always have a bad judgement about gambler

It's honestly a good list to watch as gambling. I think way too many people get lost in the game, forgetting a lot of these rules/guidelines.

What do you mean? There are many of them, including me and possibly you too. Of course no one is perfect, and sometimes I do try to regain my losses in the same day, but most of the time I accept my losses with coolness of mind and stop playing for the day.

You cannot control whether you lose or whether you win as that is basic luck. You can only control yourself and the impulses that come with gambling when you are either winning or losing, and this would make you to know when it is time to stop and get away from the gambling environment. But, profits alone will not define the good gambler.

Getting a huge amount from gambling does not come with any skills or being a champ, it is all about luck and most people who even get lucky and are able to cart away with huge money, are those who usually do not expect too much from it.

After people started accepting gambling also for entertainment, the criteria for good gambler got heavily modified. But in my experience, nothing will define good nor bad gambler. Gamblers must act as per their own experience as incline to external things will definitely affect their performances.

Yeah, totally right! It is their subconscious that is always in play at those moments because they are still trying to give themselves every reason why they should continue and those are the gambling impulses we keep talking about.
It will always come most especially for those who started gambling because they want to get lucky and make more money or earn profit as some would call it while forgetting it is just a game and you actually have higher chances of losing everything. Unfortunately for them, once they are bottled up in their addictive mindset, it becomes a huge problem to get out.

Indeed, I don't think that chasing profit isn't bad because chasing profit what makes us gambler but greed is other thing. Greed makes us more persevere on the things that we think we could win though the probability is low. Therefore, being profit chaser isn't bad but rather greed makes it hence, we shouldn't be greed in gambling and even in the different aspect of life.

Well said.. Gambling is portrayed as a bad thing everywhere. The main reason is that people are not following these criteria. Greed overtakes the senses and eventually loses everything. If we control ourselves, know when to stop and can accept loss then we would become a good gambler. What's the point saying that gambling is bad after we lost money in a casino?
