Gambling is not even an investment or a profit making venture anyone should be looking forward to earning from as that would make them really set up for a high level of loss and addiction in the long run. A reasonable gambler will know that there is not much to gain from gambling when it comes to monetary stuff unless you are crazily lucky, and in that case, better to stick to other things that would be more of an interest or just stay away.

That is because majority of the gamblers are doing it for profit, they want to be rich instantly without studying carefully their chance of winning.
We should look gambling in a small picture so we understand easily, they would not last until now and very profitable if they are not making money from us.

There is no point for any gambler to even be studying their chances of winning in any game. It is a game of luck and any gambler that does not already know that the chances of winning is far lesser than the chances of losing, then such a gambler is not ready to start facing reality and until he is able to, he might end up being an addict. A good gambler should know right from the onset this is just a game, which you can win or lose big, so be ready to accept the outcome.

The most important part is the leaving when you are ahead part. If I am ever gambling and suddenly make a decent return and make good profits (which is not rare but unlikely option to losing) than I usually stop and keep the profits and withdraw what I initial deposited and leave the casino.

I go back next day or couple days later and than gamble with the money I made and that makes me feel like I am gambling on free money (if you consider what I already lost, its surely not free) and that makes it even more fun. Leaving when you are ahead is the best quality a gambler can ever have and I think not doubling down on a lose is another big one. If you lost, cut your loses and leave, don't double down on it.

Ya exactly...great points mentioned by you and if any one is thinking that this problem are coming with him and he/she is not able to follow these habits..it means he has been addicted to gambling and its time for him to move away from it atleast for some time

You are right but most of the gamblers can't do that and they lose everything in the end not just their money.

If they can't take time to understand the game then they will not be categorized as a good gambler.

But to me what they need to understand is the risk that they are taking and the possible negative result which they might come up with if they gamble. I'll add that good gamblers will never blame the game, will never blame that they are unlucky.

Everything in life is a gamble more or less.

Staying with FIAT, hodling crypto, trading, choosing a college, buying a laptop, marrying a woman... The difference between those is, you can do your research and minimize the chance of losing the game while you cannot do it on a dice game.

You can even minimize your chances of losing by betting on sport games. I know it because I've seen people who successfully pulled that shit.

What matters is, we all play the game (and we should, because that makes sense) we understand the best.

Bankers know how to fuck regular people over by selling them the shit they actually don't need. ( the product I am talking about here is usually overpriced mortgages)
Lawyers know how to rip you off because they know the game you have no idea about.
Politicians know how to talk and lie and deceive others and they make a living out of that.
Some people are gifted with math, they understand how things work better than others and they can be great traders or programmers or hackers...

If you don't understand the game you are playing, you definitely shouldn't wager too much.

TLDR; don't get marry unless you really know what you are doing. Grin

If gamblers can just control their greediness I guess there will be no problem on gambling. Most of the gamblers are addicted to gambling since they can earn easy money, "Easiest money of my Life!" I've heard it once on my friend, I thought it will be continuing since he is really bragging about it but when I asked her wife, he barely give any money to their children nor support their elder son to go to school. It is sad not because he is losing a lot of money but because his children are greatly affected of his addiction.

Yes, as long as people who gamble are able to maintain their game and never get a bad situation in his life because of gambling, I can assume that he is a good gambler. Losing or winning in gambling will not change everyday life, especially in financial matters.

I agree , But being addicted maybe for me a stage of being a gambler, some one who is attached playing gambling will has a chance to get addicted. I myself got addicted before , but every good gambler should bypass the addition stage. Learning to stop or to play gambling not on a daily basis.

Thats absolutely right, I think the criteria of a good gambler are as you say, not gamblers who become addicts because they try to get the main income. using all the way to get money do not care about it illegally, so that he can return to gambling. good gamblers those who think that Gambling is just a game of fun

People some time even know that they are making a mistake, but they continue and repeat the mistake again and again. In fact once they become addicted in gambling, then they find it too much difficult to get control over their emotion and which is in fact the big cause of losing money in gambling.
