Queen's Pawnshop opening soon(The queen is not living in CryptoTown, but has lent her name to the Pawnshop, because she likes silver so much.)
After the excellent and immediate success of the King's Coinshop in its automated incarnation, also the shop for silver needs to be opened. As we remember, all kinds of shops have existed since time immemorial, Luigi's stone dealership being one of the originals in 1458 or so.
The amount of gold existing is 1,000 kilos, valued at 681,000 million.
The amount of silver existing is 60 kilos, and we are trying to value it now so that the pricing formulas for the coinshop can be adjusted.
Silver can only be generated from Items Credit (IC). Currently we are in a special situation that IC is technically possible to get by adding luxury to your building and immediately replacing it, which generates IC, convertible to silver. This caps the silver price to the maximum value of 85,125 m/g, which is 1,021,500 m/coin. The coins will be non-ancient 1600 series. There is no information on how long this exploit is available.
Raw silver is an important luxury resource which can easily and cheaply be formed to whatever silver has historically been used, useful or magnificently elaborate items. While its value is backed by nothing, it pays no dividends, and its quantity is not restricted, it cannot be generated out of nothing but has to be converted from IC and the conversion price is related to gold price.
Price determination period for silver CKSWe call a period which ends today at 21:00 UTC for the determination of silver price.
Everyone is invited to participate by submitting buy and sell offers for "trade lots" of CKS. One trade lot is 300 g of silver (25 coins of dates selected by the seller). The trade lot can be converted from IC for about 25.5 million so don't pay more unless you want to pay for the ancientness.
The offers will be added to the solver engine in the order of their submission. In the end of the period, the solver will match the highest buys with the lowest sells, so that the matching price is the price that clears the market (has equal # of lower sells and higher buys, which all are executed at the matching price).
Withdrawing a bid or ask is not allowed. It is allowed, though, to "raise" an existing bid/ask further from the midprice. If there is no mentioning of a raise, we treat it as an additional order.
Unless otherwise specified, the sellers whose order is filled, will sell the coins from the newest onwards, nevertheless so that 2 coins of each type are left. The buyers will have no control over what they get (but approximate equality will be followed).
Needless to say, this is an excellent way to get rid of the stupid silver that is not worth anything, and a similar speech for the buyers to the contrary!
