Crypto scam is big issue globally and I think it will really hard to solve it even government action it. If we take into account how much money was stolen from investors due to fraudulent projects over the past years, then this money could really help very promising and sought-after projects, as well as improve the situation in the cryptocurrency market.  In any case, if there were less fraud and the whole process of creating new projects could be controlled, then we would not see the poor state of the cryptocurrency market today and investors would more safely invest their funds in cryptocurrency.

Now that crypto is allowing us to transact globally I am questioning if we are going to start to see more scams happen between countries. Do we need more compliance companies to step in to help major scams and illegal trafficking?

Scams are now increasing day by day and it's not new already. Cryptocurrencies have no support from governments, and I heard here that some governments (maybe in some countries) don't want to accept cryptocurrencies, I don't think we can get support from them or maybe a compliance company but we already know that there is a lot of scammers out there even here in forum there is a lot, especially with bounties or airdrops so make sure to check it 1st before joining to avoid those scammers than to rely on those compliance company that you are saying. No one will help us but only ourselves.

the scam happens often everywhere not only in crypto currency space.
There is no doubt that there are scams all over the world in difference financial sector but in this space we see that more often and billions of dollars are lost to these scammers which is not a small amount by any means.

there is nothing to be scared with the scam attempts as long as you fill your head with deep knowledge about crypto.
there is a lot of effort working on proggress to prevent scams these days , it does not need to stopping you getting involved in the business.
Scammers will improvise with time and they will come up with projects that will attract anyone with deep knowledge too, it is true that you cannot scam anyone with half baked projects but you never know what the future holds, i am not a fan of the ICO world as i have seen many scams and i am not risking my money for these shitty projects, i made my profit with the amount i invested and if i was too greedy to hold for a longer period of time i would have lost everything.

Scams have always been an issue but with development of technologies they moved into virtual space. New possibilities for criminals and much easier way to gain illegal profit. Cryptocurrencies user are especialy atractive target. And I'm not talking only about ICO's, it's much larger area.
Awarness is something that needs to be worked on and people needed to know how to protect themselves, how to check necessary facts and recognize potential scam.
+1

the scam happens often everywhere not only in crypto currency space.

but yes we do know that cryptocurrency itself is much more vulnerable because its easy-access unregulated system , but the thing is that if you really know what you are doing in crypto , every aspect start from the very basic to the technical , i think you will never get trapped in the scams cycle, cryptocurrency is a wonderful thing ever invented for human kind in the digital era with its high risk involved.

there is nothing to be scared with the scam attempts as long as you fill your head with deep knowledge about crypto.

Well, this issue will end soon? Not so sure. as long as their people still using crypto there are corrupt or greedy people because it is money. you know money will bring you to evilness like fiat currency. market is gaining billions and do you think do the jealousy just look like a dream come true? No, because that would make them a way to get money from others just to get rich. as long as money is involved anywhere bad activities will not end.
Evilness indeed is being a part of any venues that deals with money. Greedy individuals are corrupting the system they are gaining benefits and that's how this types of people lives. The only thing that you can do is to keep finding the right way to enhance your skills. The more you know the better your chances to do right thing. It also helps you to avoid becoming a victim of those evildoers inside this industry.
Scammers are everywhere and they are not stopping to learn things, they'll do everything with their knowledge to keep taking advantage, be well aware to act accordingly.

If you look at any payment mechanism which is online and uses phones and internet, the scam rates are pretty high. Because it is easier to get into a device through Trojans or phishing sites and hack a system. Also, it is easier to manipulate people on internet into giving details as digital literacy is there but that efficiently. The situation is worse in crypto because it is more complex and requires understanding of wallets, exchanges and keys which is tough to understand. Moreover, there is no central authority to look after the crimes. This increases the problem.

If you want to see only real projects and not a scam, then go to Neironix. Blockchain projects are carefully filtered there. Their analytical departments spoke that 95% of all crypto projects are dead and scam

yes I agree with you crypto is not a scam it's just a crypto to be a scam because it is in the wrong hands. and I think cheating is also common in fiat currencies and we can't avoid it. because in this world there are always bad people who want to get profits faster without having to work. so this scam is not a crypto error but a user error.

yes, I think fraud is a global problem that must be taken seriously. we know that with crypto people can transact globally, maybe that's one of the strengths. but we also have to realize that crypto can be used by people who are not responsible. like recently there was news that someone blackmailed a company in another country, and the fraudster asked for payment in bitcoin.
There are agencies that work against frauds at national and international level. It is not possible rather an easy task to catch all the criminals. Scams have nothing to do with assets but the minds and greedy lazy nature of humans. Crypto currencies never suggested anyone to scam. If you have seen bitcoin, then you must have seen people who became millionaire due to investing in it. Innovation is always innocent.

very well, I agree with your opinion that fraud has nothing to do with assets, all because of human nature itself that does not want to work honestly and they are very greedy. their brains are actually used to work, but they want something fast and hygienic, regardless of whether something they are doing is breaking the law and hurting others. I do not blame crypto but what is wrong is the human itself. in my opinion crypto is also a victim, because the fraudsters use it the wrong way. it must be dealt with seriously the problem of fraud, so that the good name of crypto is not increasingly tainted by lazy con artists.

It is true, we should not blame the agencies if they didn't catch all the scammers whether it is online or offline. We should look at ourselves to check if we are the ones to be blamed. Greediness is a huge factor why there is still scams in the world because people are blind to the truth and lazy to do study first before they invest which lead to scam cases.

Should be so, if there is a company body that helps solve the problem of fraud and evasion or money laundering may be safer than that.
But can not be in the undeniable because the blockchain ecosystem where it is anonymous and unlike the bank Fiat that is controlled under the auspices of the Government.
So, we are good at transacting and investing anywhere.

It is really a serious matter, the scams are occuring all over the world making the casualties grow bigger and bigger each time they become successful with their frauds. We are in dire need of having a compliance company that may help us regulate the passage of those scams in the crypto world. We should always keep in mind that it is global and it is very hard to control knowing that being anonymous is one of the top priority here in the crypto world.

when compared to other industry this crypto industry is not that much saturated when we compare this to that. So global payment is obvious on crypto trading or any mode of business which runs relay on crypto.
Please look into the solutions whatever we can manage to make the payment without get trapped with scammers.
so I suggest everyone to use blockchain payment mode and kick the scammers away using good escrows and secured websites.

Scams are really getting serious as its rate grow bigger and bigger. But when it comes to crypto scams, it doesn't really concerns the government of most countries for most of them aren't into supporting cryptocurrency, relying into compliance companies isn't of any convenience for it might cost us more, nothing is free. It is our responsibility to make sure that we aren't getting ourselves into scams for scams aren't controllable and not easy to get rid of. Also there aren't that much scams when it comes to crypto, it's not the cryptocurrency that is a scam but those people makes scam and is just using crypto to earn something out of their schemes.

In my opinion, scam occurs not because there is an intention of the culprit, but rather because there is an opportunity to commit a scam. Scams are identical to one party experiencing losses due to the other party. This loss is usually in the form of material. In the world of cryptocurrency or before we invest and do business with cryptocurrency, we really need to understand what cryptocurrency is. When we understand, we can minimize the possibility that we will be exposed to scams. So the rise of people who suffer losses due to cryptocurrency is solely due to a lack of knowledge in investing in digital currencies.

To start investing in cryptocurrency, the understanding that cryptocurrency is a myth of wealth must be eliminated. There are several reasons why the cryptocurrency is close to scam practices

- Many newbie's understanding is not perfect and their analysis is not mature enough to join the speculators.
- There is no legal guarantee from the government because of its decentralized nature. This is very risky for businesses and every cryptocurrency user because it is only a formula, not supported by real assets but only at the level of demand.
- The legality of cryptocurrency in every country is different because it is anonymous to worry about its use for illegal transactions.

The only thing that we should do to avoid scams is to check every sites that we visit and projects that we are investing because it is the common mistakes that every investors experienced when they get scammed. We all know that it is very difficult to identify a fraud projects, but we should be smart in picking projects that we can get a good profit.

The scammers are very innovative nowadays. They spend a lot of money in designing the websites, social media channels and white paper. And from the first look, it will be very difficult to identify the project as a scam. The first thing that I look while going for any new project is the information about the team members. If the team consists of experienced members with good reputation, then it gives a lot of confidence to the users. The second factor that we should look is the genuineness of the white paper. Any plagiarized section should be considered as a massive red flag.
