I was hoping for 39.Kc1 Nxb3 40.axb3 a2 41.Rxa2 Rxa2 43.Nxf6

We are running out of tricks. Defending with 41.Rh2 Nd4 42.Rh3 Rc6+ seems hopeless

I think Rc2 activating or rook is our best chance for those not yet ready to resign.

Rc2: 1 vote (boolberry)

Edit: Thinking better, I want to propose this:

Rc2: 1 vote (boolberry)
Kd2: 1 vote (GoldTiger69)

Rc2: 1 vote (boolberry)
Kd2: 2 votes (GoldTiger69, LucyLovesCrypto)

At least our King is out of the corner:)

I know this is going to sound like a bad idea, but we need to put the King into action.

Kc1: 1 vote (GoldTiger69)

I think after Kc1 Nxf5 we are close to losing. Unfortunately I cannot find any good alternatives. I considered Rf1, b4, Ng3 and Nc5. They are all bad.

Activating our King is a good idea, but we probably missed a few opportunities to play more active earlier:
The key to this endgame is piece activity. Good luck to both teams.

39.Ng3 Rc6 illustrates this point well. We defend f5 for another move but find ourselves in zugzwang! 40.Rf1 would allow Rc2, other rook or knight move loses a pawn, b4 loses to Rc4 and Ka1 of course loses to Rc1 checkmate. Our kingside pawn structure made things difficult but we definitely should have found a way to play more actively.

Kc1: 2 votes (GoldTiger69, boolberry)

Since Ng3 loses and we are losing f5 anyway why not play Nc5 and prevent the black rook from using the c file?

Kc1: 2 votes (GoldTiger69, boolberry)
Nc5: 1 vote (LucyLovesCrypto)

That's an interesting move, but then we need to play b4 to keep the Knight there, and then we have yet another pawn to protect Smiley

Well, my idea is: Ne4, followed by Ng3 (or Nxf6, depending). Yes, more defending, because if we don't do that, we are going to fall very quickly, in my opinion.
