These mod is making customers stupid by making such statement, Why the in the world police will allow Cryptopia owners to return to their offices but cannot touch anything.

The mods are deleting speculation but they are the one posting their own speculative statement
I wouldn't go putting much weight into anonymous online mods...

Three separate online articles by stuff.co.nz state categorically that the Cryptopia CEO has said that he was told by Police not to say anything and has also stated he will not say anything.

My posts are being deleted by unnamed "mods" including ones that I am posting concerning Cryptopia, so I'm not sure how long it will be before this one is also deleted.

As we know articles have been floating around the internet stating that the New Zealand Police have stated there is nothing to prevent Cryptopia from reopening now that they have concluded their main investigations at Cryptopia's head office.

As at this date and time 14/02/2019 11:24 AM NZDST (00:24 GMT +/- 0) Cryptopia's website is *still* showing nothing except: http://archive.fo/i2BjM

So they aren't in any hurry to re-open (if at all) and, as three online articles by stuff.co.nz have now stated Cryptopia's sole director is saying nothing we can only presume they won't be opening today, this week and probably not this month.

Cryptopia still has ZERO updates on this. They will probably pull out some Mt Gox shit after years of lawsuits

This article is written in more detail. https://www.stuff.co.nz/business/110556217/cryptopia-could-reopen-but-founders-are-keeping-silent
I do not like that the founders put all the responsibility on the police and do not give any updates/news. Mistrust only increases

From the article,
"I don't think serious players will be going back but there's always a new wave of traders who will probably be totally unaware of what's happened."

Well, I don't think big players would ever trust Cryptopia if they had a choice, and Cryptopia was financially fine without them. So I don't expect that a fall from "untrustworthy" to "totally untrustworthy" will have a big financial impact to them.

Well I read some stuff in this thread recently that makes me think they are slipping down to CB levels of untrustworthiness and imo there is no coming back from that.

Just in case you didn't see this in my thread:

Fresh information from reddit - Cryptopia has permission to reopen

Hi guys,

I'm a journalist in NZ.

I just had some communication with police, who confirm they have wrapped up the on-site investigation.

From detective inspector Greg Murton: "Cryptopia management have full access to their facility and business premises and the Police investigation is not preventing their business from getting up and running again. However only Cryptopia management can speak to when it may be open again."

Story: https://www.nbr.co.nz/story/police-give-cryptopia-permission-reopen-investigation-heats

It's a shame, the link is only available for suscribers, so it's bearly impossible to read the post  Sad

https://www.reddit.com/r/Cryptopia/comments/apo493/cryptopia_has_permission_to_reopen/

thanks for the update,
from now on, the silence of cryptopia will be even more unacceptable and a bad sign.

if I can withdraw at least a 70% of my btc and 0% of tokens, will still be a "win" for me.

How is losing money ever a "Win" I dont get it .. it will be less horrible sure but not a win.

Still nothing just a whole bunch of conjecture on discord.

I stop chatting in their discord channel if you ask question you will bombarded by Meme's from different moderators. not really helpfull at all,

I only visit once everyday to check if there's any worthy announcement since their discord already turn in to a circus show

NBR journo on a reddit channel says police have finished with the offices, so up to the staff on when this will reopen.

I don't see it opening this month, and when it does there will be heavy restrictions on withdrawals.

Well i hope there's enough reason for their silence,

with regards to the feb 15 date given by the police i highly doubt they will resume operation on the same day. This could be another reason of waiting when cryptopia starts and create their own investigation drama.

I knew I'd seen this some place:

yes, i'm one of those. Whats the discord adress you are talking about?

Here is an invite link:
https://discord.gg/279Jcc

However be warned, I don't think there is any actual Crytopia admins who frequent that Discord, and even if they did they certaintly won't be answering any questions since there is still an ongoing investigation.

Its mostly the users of Crytopia who frequent that Discord. However its probably as up to date as it can get since they never update their website or send out any emails of what is the progess with the hack.

As I've been saying here the last thing Cryptopia would want to do is say anything that might jepordise the Police's investigation...

...and as for Discord as adaseb has pointed out:
