It's not that popular online. Like as in online shops. Just try and see how many online shops that accept bitcoin you can find. I mean the list is growing by the day but still bitcoin payments are still in their infancy. But still, from what I can see things are looking up, slowly but surely.
I think the online store will not be used every day. you can not be spending then always pay the shipping costs continually, perhaps if it had been a lot of offline stores that accept bitcoin we could use bitcoin everyday

It depends on the fees it pays
if you pay the recommended fee does not last long

That's why I asked a while back if a separate part of blockchain (market blockchain for example) can be created for the sole purpose of storing the transactions in some store over day work day and alter on during the closed hours to sync with the main blockchain and send out the fees that have been collected.

I hope that Bitcoin will get used by many more people other than us nerds..
Yes, all of comunity think same with you, unfortunately it is not will be easy because there are not many stores accept bitcoin for payment method, right now bitcoin be used for investments usually for trading bitcoin to fiat and trading altcoins to bitcoin and getting profit from trading.
It all just need knowledge then it will be used for our needs because if a person will know about bitcoin then he will also know that there are a number of online shops which accept bitcoin and he will go there for shopping. Along with that many more services are available now with bitcoin payment.

I'm not sure if you mean this, but when more stores start accepting bitcoin the persons interested in buying on these stores will try to use bitcoin to buy things as it's the fastest and easiest way to do shopping online and to make online payments.
That is what steam did, but I don't think it worked very well, maybe we need stores of other kind of stuff, not only games.

I think in everyday life, it is hard to use bitcoin because of it waiting time in transaction. Bitcoin is best suited for paying for online services like online shopping or any service on websites like fiverr where item takes time and there is enough time for transaction to happen.
Actually like someone said above, bitcoin has been used for physical stores like starbucks.
I think it is feasible because in most cases you don't need more than 2 confirmations. However, it is definitely much easier and practical to use it in online stores.

I completely agree with you. When I want to buy something from an online store I don't feel confident to use my credit card. Since now I have a prepaid card too linked to Paypal account and I use any is more convenient to me. Bitcoin is the perfect medium to use it online but only if and only if I really trust the seller. If I have any doubt about him I prefer paypal because is buyer friendly due to chargeback policy.

I am sure that there are a lot merchants willing to accept Bitcoin as optional payment form, alongside the plenty of others they are working with, but most of them simply don't know Bitcoin, or they get distracted by the volatility. I am sure if they realize that they aren't exposed to the volatility if they make use of a payment processor such as BitPay, that they will definitely be open to accept it as payment form. It's a lack of understanding that plays an important role here. If I was a merchant that didn't know much about Bitcoin, then sure, the volatility will be a solid reason for me to not allow Bitcoin payments. But if I know we have third party payment processors that take care of everything, then heck, why not? I have nothing to lose, and the same goes up for others.

And how they take care of everything?

Could you explain it in layman terms how they help make payments in Bitcoin if I set my prices in, say, dollars? If Bitcoin price changes 50 dollars per coin every other day, of what help exactly could these payment processors be to me? Okay, I can set my prices in dollars and receive payment in dollars but why would I want let someone set prices for my goods in bitcoins? In that case, they would be my resellers not payment processors as I see it, though I don't think they are doing something like that at all

I think in this business transaction should not require confirmation, if it trrjadi then we'll buy a cup of coffee had to wait a long time, but every transaction it would have to just take over

That's true, unless there would be intermediaries like coinbase where you can send money instantaneously if its peer to peer inside the coinbase system. If governments will take charge then this could possibly be a good alternative to manually sending from you wallet to the merchant. Though the problem is that we involve another person in the deal, which is the "coinbase" entity.

Hi friends,

As far as I know, bitcoin payments take a little time to approve. Will these approval times make it difficult to use bitcoin in our daily lives?
For example, I would get a coffee from Starbucks. Do I have to wait for approval to pay for what I have done for hours?

I think if you make sure that the Bitcoin fee is adequate, then the confirmation will not take as long. Also, it's possible that a merchant could accept the transaction with just one confirmation and trust that it will be completed, especially if you are just ordering something like a cup of coffee.

It's pretty hard to use every day BTC and especially if you want to pay with it for everything you buy, I mostly use BTC to buy stuff online and for various services here, apart from that it's very hard to pay with BTC in a shop for example
Being able to use bitcoin everywhere and to pay for everything with it is an idea that we all wanted to come true a while ago but right now with the bitcoin becoming more of an investment asset rather than a currency that idea has been changed and now instead of trying to earn and spend bitcoin we save and hope for the right time when the price is high so we exchange it into fiat and use it.

That's why BTC is mostly used online for now,you have to wait for confirmations if you pay in a shop for example, whereas when you pay online it doesn't matter how much time it takes to confirm as long as you have sent the payment, that's hindering BTC's usage in my opinion and there has to be found a way around it so that it can be accepted officially by merchants

Bitcoin is in the commercialization period, it is not so popular in the world, and bitcoin is currently not accepted by the government. Maybe we will wait a long time for bitcoin to be used in everyday life. In reality, Bitcoin is very inconvenient in transaction and payment, it is only suitable for online transactions and payments. I also like to use bitcoin every day, but if I go buy something with a few dollars that I have to pay with bitcoin, that would be very troublesome and inconvenient

Bitcoin is popular now so bitcoin enthusiast do offer that services, one click in google and you will find sites that accept bitcoin for an international flight. I'm not into it yet since my budget would not allow me but like you I am also getting the benefits of paying my bills online with bitcoin.
You can find many sites that accept bitcoin as a payment option on the internet, and the day to day store that accepts bitcoin it will be more and more. we can use bitcoin on a daily basis

Today there are many stores accepting bitcoin as one of the payments along with fiat currency, soon I can see there many stores like amazon, eBay etc will also accept bitcoin. I really love to use bitcoins for my personal needs daily, i am waiting for it.
