I’m not a regular gambler nor an addicted gambler but I recently experienced a terrible chasing loss that start with small amount. I’m on a day off on my job right now due to my minor flu. My feeling got better while I don’t have things to do on my work dormitory so I decided to just gamble for fun only.
This is funny to read. Did you think that only a regular gambler or an addicted gambler lose or what? The casino is indifferent to all this and will not figure out whether you are an old player or just came to play for the first time to clean out your pockets.

Lastly, I deposit 1800$ to have a better bankroll again, This time I’m betting like a high roller and lucky manage to recover my losses and bag 150$ profit.
What if this step didn't lead to winning back? Would you deposit $5,000 to try to win back? This is how the casino gradually extracts money from their gamblers.

Conclusion: I will never gamble again when I’m bored or chase loss small amount. With this exhilarating experience. I think I will stop gambling for a long time and reflec on what dumb thing I do today.
You got off very easily, and without financial losses, which does not happen very often in casinos. You have gained invaluable psychological experience and you are unlikely to want to experience it again. Use these negative emotions experienced (remember and feel) if you decide to play gambling games again.

The series of losses must have triggered your adrenaline rush and it's what you wanted to gamble for fun. Luckily you won them back and profited in the end, not bad for a nongambler.  Congrats!

Even after a terrible start, you got some luck behind you that helped you to recover from the loss.

But indeed it's not a good practice to follow as a responsible gambler, clearly in this instance too what would be your reaction if you lost that $1800 too if luck didn't work?

It's always better to stop at the initial stage itself if you feel the day doesn't belong to yourself or you maybe forced to chase loss.
Celebration is only appropriate if you won something but if not, you just made a bigger problem. Just like with martingale wherein you’d be increasing your bets on each games which simply means bigger tendency to end up with huge loss. In this case wherein OP wanted to get back with his losses he used a bigger bankroll to may e have better chances. However, if it happened that his added bankroll just contributed with his previous losses then that is obviously a worse scenario. The only way to get back with previous losses is to increase your bet indeed but in my opinion it shouldn’t be something to do on a regular basis; you’d more likely just be more frustrated. Check if you are lucky or nor, then let things be. Never force something in gambling. Sometimes setting the goal which is to lessen the amount to be lost for a single day is better than to check for an amount to be used as a revenge from yesterday’s best. That’s just how luck works in this industry.

My feeling got better while I don’t have things to do on my work dormitory so I decided to just gamble for fun only.

My game start by just betting minimum bet on a blackjack table with my initial deposit of 85$ which is my signature campaign earning last week. I lose my initial bank roll with just few bets on consistent losses. I decided to deposit again but this time with higher bankroll which is 250$. I bet twice the minimum bet this time since my bankroll is higher, the result is much terrible loss.

Lastly, I deposit 1800$ to have a better bankroll again, This time I’m betting like a high roller and lucky manage to recover my losses and bag 150$ profit.

SS of my game history:

You went from treating virus infection to loss of $2K+, that's really bad man, hard luck on that.

Permit me to use your word in the first paragraph, you said you wanted to gamble for fun which $85 deposit is fine since I don't know if that's your official currency or is just the amount you can afford to lose. If you have stop in the first bet, it will be understandable but you didn't stop, went ahead and did additional $250, this is where you should have cut your loss.

Adding $1800 deposit is nothing but poor gambling management and poor skills in betting, yes you heard me right because you don't want to use $1800 to recover $85+$250, how does that sound fun to you? Sorry for the loss but this is bad decision bro. Take care of your health and hard luck.

Luckily you won in the end game because of the capital and bigger bets, so you recovered your previous losses, actually it would have been a problem if you had to lose again losing that $1800, but it seems luck was on your side and your self-confidence overcame your fear, It's a careless and reckless game in my opinion because chasing losses when basically before playing you have said that it's just for fun, you shouldn't chase after those losses.

But because you feel confident that you can recover your losses by increasing the amount of your deposit and bet, that's already quite reckless in my opinion, but it doesn't matter if you have won and withdrawn the money, at least your decision was right to rest and not gamble again until you are right. really want to play again later. I hope this will be an experience not to be done again in the future  Grin

Bad luck day maybe?
It regularly happens though when you are in the card game and because the only way to get back to earning your loss is to double down then you gotta double down. All gamblers have experienced all these and sometimes multiple times. Since OP is not a regular gambler I guess it can happen over and over like it's the first time. Every time you get bored and play blackjack and then you wanna chase your loss, always remember this is not your first time.

This is what other gambler was  experienced and honestly I've been experienced like this before but sad to say When I deposit more then I loss more.  Technically speaking when we are aiming to recover our losses then we will loss. Unless we are lucky enough to win a good amount. Cause what I've been experiencing is that I deposit a $10 which is big amount of money convert to PHP money and then I will loss my $10 so I decided to deposit $30 and then I'll won and my money is increase UpTo $116 which is I have. Doubt If I'll gonna withdraw or not  so I'll stay playing end when times goes by  that $116 will totally loss and I regret  cause I am greedy and I didn't control my self is didn't stop betting when I won. So that's the reason why nowadays I'll think twice after my bet when I am loss 2x then I'll quit and relax.

Gambling can be a dangerous activity for those who are not careful. Many gamblers fall into the trap of chasing their losses, meaning that they continue to bet money in an attempt to win back what they have lost. Unfortunately, this often leads to a cycle of increasing losses, as the gambler continues to bet more and more money in a desperate attempt to recover their losses. Eventually, the losses become too great to bear, and the gambler is forced to stop. This behavior is alarming, as it can lead to financial ruin and other negative consequences. I felt this too before and lost not an enormous amount but only a considerable amount. I'm happy for you since you didn't lose, but don't do it again because luck is not always on our side.

I feel the real intensity of my mistake after I withdraw my funds. My hand is shaking and I think my flu come back again due to intense game. I just recently received my yearly bonus and other incentives at work that’s why I’m very confident on playing huge amount.

I can’t imagine what will I deposit when I still lose my 1800$ because I still have remaining balance on my bank account this time. I learned a lot of lesson today. Even a casual gambler can still commit a mistake like addicted gambler does when in dire situation.  Angry
You felt that thing because you are too anxious because you lose so much , better not to play when you are feeling well coz you are not in the mood of course , next time much better to play when you are physically and mentally stable and healthy , even being sad or lonely can lead your game sometimes to loses . But losing that much is not good hope you learn a lesson and hope you feel better soon.

it was a bad start and you thought you felt better already just because it was just a minor flu. when you enjoy something, you also disregard the value of what you spend which turns out you deposit some more. did you notice that when you are with friends in a bar and you all enjoy you keep buying drinks without thinking you may have nothing for tomorrow?

when they say gamble for fun and not to make money, it actually means just go deposit more its just money what is more important is that you celebrate good times.
did you take more pills than what is recommended?

You are indeed lucky, because this is just the way people start to gamble with small amount of money and later go for bigger amount like your savings or all the money that you have with you. What will later end it is the person finding himself that he got no money again as all has been used to gamble. Just quit gambling for now to have a better mindset. Do not go more than your gambling budget anymore, because you are lucky today, tomorrow may be very different.
