Now it is OK.
The account was unused for some time, so probably it just needed a full hour of mining to catchup.

I have a problem with the shares being accounted, not sure if it's just for the stats or the miner is working for nothing. It shows average speed, but no shares are registered and the worker's rate shows 0 MH/s with 100% stale.
Is it a pool problem or miner problem? It's cgminer 3.6.4 from fresh git

EDIT: It does work fine with two other pools, so it seems it's not the miner

Think for yourself
When writing a config file in cgminer it can only be set 1 - 10  but in the AI it can be set higher. Yes the queue.

Thanks for the tip.  I'll tinker around with it a bit.

I have it actually set at 30 now as it only takes a few seconds to use this staged work before awaiting more work, and sometimes I am still not get 100% work utility. May adjust further later on today.

PPL hate on them because of the operator's ego.

The dumbass didnt want to vote and tried to control the network. I'm glad hes failed.

adjusted staged work up by 20 in cgminer and all is good again Smiley

Uh, how do you do that exactly?  I thought ST: or Staged Work was just a status?

Presumably with the queue setting.

The range for the queue is 1-10.  So how could he adjust it up by 20?  I set mine up to 5 from the default 1 to see what happens.
Thanks,
Sam

The share of the pie is always proportional to your speed if you mine long enough.
You just answered your question ... 'your speed compared to the network speed', so a stable pool adds to the income by reducing the downtime

So you like that Deepbit is a small pool, thus it is less DDOSed, so less downtime?
What about higher variance, large periods to find a block, thus unpredictable payouts?

When DeepBit were big, people hated on them for that. Now they're small, people hate on them for that too. Do you have a constructive criticism to offer?

There is no hate, just wonder how people tolerate the large variance and the waiting between payouts.
It was my preferred pool back in 2011 when it was the biggest one.

Finally sorted out lack of work / pool not supplying work quick enough error with my speed increase, adjusted staged work up by 20 in cgminer and all is good again Smiley

maybe because of the their avatars and the (former) slogan "come to the dark side, we have cookies"?? Cheesy

Hmmm, yes I see what you mean, but that doesn't really amount to constructive criticism, Gysur.

Did i say small?
I said stable and it was such even when it was one of the first and biggest pools

How often do you find a block there?

last block which deepbit found was #263030 according to http://blockorigin.pfoe.be/blocklist.php

the block before was #262913

Based on the current network and pool speed a block should be found each ~12 days
