Thanks for working on it, Tycho.  We should be getting a block soon!  Just hope it can stay over 1TH/s

I can confirm that confirmation can take a couple of days because most small transactions are only included by the pool itself, since those transactions don't have fees.
Also I want to note that no payment was ever lost. All transactions are issued immediately, but confirmation takes some time.

Today I'm doing some maintenance on the payment system, so payments may be paused for some time. Don't worry, it will be restarted and refilled again, all automatic payments will be issued then.

I have been with DeepBit since very early this year and run at an average of 1.9Gh, yesterday I had a lot of connection problems (as far as I am aware not my end) and the pool was unable to supply enough work quick enough. The pool rate did drop considerably, but has come back up today, still having the odd unable to supply work quick enough, but all seems stable again. Any information on what happened ?

In respects to some whom have jumped ship, I have done the maths on average twice a month comparing to my possible earnings with BTCGuild, and yes you would get your coin into your wallet quicker, but not as much that is for certain as they just passed through 401,000Gh with so many users. Key to it is patience, earn more and be patient, and you will get your coin, even if it does take a couple of weeks, it will be more than a couple of weeks total else where.

All just my opinion.

Regards

It's been mentioned quite a few times:  Deepbit doesn't include appropriate transaction fees for payouts, meaning it's very rare for any Bitcoin node other than Deepbit to actually include the transaction in a block (most won't even relay it so they never get seen by most the network).

Basically the only way to get paid is to continue mining on Deepbit so they eventually find another block.

Which is why I just moved all workers to BTC Guild Wink

I hadn't had issues with Deepbit payout in the past, luckily it is a small transaction of like 0.04 or something   Cool

Still nothing showing up in block explorer.

777 Gh/s :-( dropping fast.  People should know it will just take a while, but will still average the same amount of payouts to you than if you were to use another pool.  I will put 1.1Gh/s on it tonight and hope to hit a jackpot block.  I'd get like 3.4 bitcents if it happens.
1.1gh/s at the moment would expect to find, on average, 1 block per 5089days 21hr 24min 10sec
1.1 by myself would be 5089 days, but on deepbit, if they're pulling 1TH/s the chance is closer to 5 days on average so it should be getting one soon(ish)
Yes but adding 1.1 will make next to no difference ... and only earns 0.0049117 BTC PPS per day before you subtract pool fees

Of all the various hardware I have, I currently have 1.4 idle for the last few days while I do development on one item, coz I know it really makes almost no difference anywhere and I couldn't be bothered rearranging things to resolve them being idle - they can simply wait until I finish.

Oh, looks like those 4 I mentioned were just incorrectly traced by blockchain.info.  Looks like 2 were from GHash.io, one from HHTTMP, and one from a Private Pool.  Weird.
Sorry Tycho!  I'll keep mining a little on deepbit and hopefully get my balance a little higher (looks like it's getting a block every 4 days on average and deepbit is about due for one).

blockchain.info is mostly wrong if reported a block solved by deepbit. you have to look into your account on deepbit or monitor http://deepbit.net/stats every day to get an overview if deepbit solved a block.

EDIT: or better use always this source: from the 2016 last blocks solved by deepbit are 256845, 257028, 257957 and 258009. http://blockorigin.pfoe.be/blocklist.php

I've had 2 USB block erupters going on Deepbit just to get my old balance up to a level I can transfer out and in the time I've been running them, Deepbit solved 4 blocks.  My balance hasn't increased at all.  With such a small pool, even my 700mh/s should've brought in over a bitcent per block but I haven't seen or heard anything.  Yesterday I emailed the pool and today I posted on here and pm'd Tycho.  Anyone else using it and didn't get paid for blocks: 258411, 258584, 258615, 258631?

There's been 3 since then too, but that should be impossible for a pool only pulling 1000GH/s so does he have some private pools or servers there submitting that's confusing the block chain?

somebody mentioned deepbit is working only with self created blocks to include payout transactions and there was no block created by deepbit since several days. so it make sense in my opinion. if deepbit will find the next block the transaction should be included for payout.

Made a 'payout' from the site on the 15th, still unconfirmed and no such transaction in the explorer:

Usually its a day or so, never seen it take so long before.

Tycho, the site is reporting that it is under maintenance for a little while. Could you tell us when it will be backup up?

After signing in, I get the following:
Please wait
Site is temporarily down for maintenance.

The server at https://deepbit.net/ does not deliver the intermediary certificate of the CA "issuer=/C=US/O=GeoTrust Inc./OU=Domain Validated SSL/CN=GeoTrust DV SSL CA", therefore all browsers only trusting the GeoTrust root CA "GeoTrust Global CA" give a certificate warning (i.e. Iceweasel (Firefox) on Debian Wheezy).

Please fix the web server configuration to deliver the intermediary CA certificate together with the server certificate.

See also https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/analyze.html?d=deepbit.net for some ideas for improvement.

12 hours i've made instant payout (0.18937 BTC) , but transaction 1adc5e1f11723131c0660c2647fff635a9ac8cafc41cfd27a9775f5f4a7625f7 is unavailable. Is there an error or something else?
Can take a while longer. Varies up to a few days. (!)

Think for yourself
there must be some mistake on http://blockchain.info/pools cause deepbit is definitely not 12 percent of the network
blockchain.info is a private business, there is no money in providing accurate stats - there is even a thread stickied in the parent forum https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/dont-believe-everything-you-read-on-blockchaininfo-about-block-sources-123726
the guy that does http://blockorigin.pfoe.be/top.php does care - well worth looking at Smiley

Don't know why, but this question and answer seems a bit redundant.

There should be a limit to how many times a week someone asks it.
