The share of the pie is always proportional to your speed if you mine long enough.
You just answered your question ... 'your speed compared to the network speed', so a stable pool adds to the income by reducing the downtime

And why not ? Less miners, more share of the pie  Grin just takes a little longer.

instant payout did work for me as described below. you have to reach the minimum payment trigger and you are able to request full-precision amounts!

https://deepbit.net/help

"Minimum payment is 0.01 BTC and full-precision amounts are allowed."

To save me reading the last 303 pages, is there a way to request higher difficulty shares, as am unable to find any where on the site for my worker. Using cgminer with this pool almost a year and with my hash rate now and going up again within the next ten days, I keep getting pool unable to provide work fast enough and dropping to failover pool. Would like the best work utility I could and wondered how.

Many thanks in advance.

I've had suspended payments on this pool for the good part of a year now. I first emailed about them to Tycho as instructed in December, and he said the payments would be unlocked in a few days. I sent another email over a month ago, and it hasn't been responded to. It's not much, a bit over 0.4 BTC, but I'd sure like to get it.

Tycho, could you please dig into your email inbox and get this sorted out?

Still no answer.

What do I need to successfully mine on Deepbit with my BFL Single ASIC?

Thx.

Uh, point your miner at Deepbit.

Also make sure you have failover pools setup.  Getwork may not keep it completely busy so shares will/can leak to other pools.
I did try but it's just not working as it is working on my other pool and fail over pools. Also solo mining is working well only Deepbit is not working. I would like Tycho to reply if possible.

Imagine BTC reaching $1000. Then 0.0099 doesn't look so few  ;D
Many things can be changed by then.

Maybe network will allow <0.01 BTC transactions without fee, or we will add fees to transactions. TX fees can be added by us at any moment. But I think that if BTC reaches $1000, then minimal fee can be less too.

So there is no way to withdraw these?

Not until you reach the .01 minimum, just as the text below your balance states.

I don't see it now. I remember seeing it long atime ago  Huh

You have to have more than 0.01 to see it and than it works as described by Tycho.

Deepbit actually solved two blocks last night!
I got over 0.1 BTC in rewards, but am only able to transfer out whole bitcents so I have 0.00977515 BTC leftover which is very annoying!  We can never close out the whole balance?  I can see automatic payments only being in increments of 0.01, but if we do an instant payout it should give everything.
Or, if you wanna keep it, give me a "donate remaining balance to pool" option.  It just peeves me that there will ALWAYS be numbers in my account and can never make it 0.00000000.
Yes, you CAN withdraw everything down to 0.00000000 BTC
Only automatic payments have 0.01 BTC precision, but if you have over 0.01 BTC in your account, you can go to "Payments" page, copy-paste your total balance in the request form and click the button. It won't be rounded.

I can't see a request form. Where is it?

Go to "Payments".  It is the editable field to the left of the "Instant Payout" Button.

Musical chairs, the one who leaves last gets nothing... or atleast has top wait a long time... now its multiple days, soon it's going to be multiple weeks...

yep, here too, everytime we get paid we get more BTC that we can't transfer immediately, it's the catch 22 of old software.
There is no catch. If someone wants to leave, he can stop mining, wait for all rewards to be accounted and then request the full-precision payment.
