a bit to much switching IP adresses so this makes me feel have to switch away to a other pool.
First IP change in last few weeks is "too much" ? :)
With normal DNS server it shouldn't be noticeable at all.

Two miners on two diff machnies not submitting shares right now. Did admin do something?
All others working. Miners do fail but two on two diff machines screwing up at same time is odd.
Please check if your DNS is working correctly. One of IP addresses was changed recently.

Restarted both miner programs and they are all set. Thanks for the reply.

Strange, yet attractive.
Ouch 6+ hour block... that is one way to write-off a quarter of the day!
That's a nice thing to do when you have a 40GH/s ASIC lying beside you in your office...  Roll Eyes
Quah? Where did that come from? What made you say something so... Useless
Besides the factor that nobody other than bfl has a 40gh/s ASIC
I surely don't have one (I'd then stop my powerplant of 2.5GH/s); but I'd definitely like to!!! Tongue

THANKS to all of you that convoluted the explanations with BS

I think everyone just assumed that since you have 155 posts and are not posting in the "newbie" DeepBit thread that they could post explanations that required a bit more knowledge than you have. No one was trying to make you look bad.

but he mines on deepbit

Is that recent solved block with 22+ million shares a new record?
Depends on the definition of "record".
If you count by shares - then yes, may be. But it would be better to count % of D.

Linux since 1997 RedHat 4
Does Deepbit currently support rolltime?
Thanks,
Sam
As I've mentioned before, if you look at the cgminer API 'stats' command,
it will tell you roll-n-time support information for each pool in your list that you have done at least one getwork.

ASSUME  ass of u and me

I was just having an Alzheimer's moment and no one was explaining is SIMPLE ENGLISH

We were assuming you knew what you were talking about about, and you assumed that we could provide an explanation in simple english. We were both destined to disappointment.

Think for yourself
I thought you found less shares with increased difficulty  NOT they were just worth less
Less blocks are found per MH/s or per given number of diff-1 shares when difficulty is high, but same number of shares per MH/s because difficulty is always 1 for shares.

See my edit below

If you plan on being a long term Deepbit miner, mining 24/7, you would probably make more using proportional.  Lower fee, and I believe overall long term luck on Deepbit beats the difficulty.
