Should I be concerned about my btc balance on deepbit? I've got over a hundred just sitting there...

...should probably set auto transfers to my wallet lol.

This sucks we were on such a good winning streak.  Cry
I wonder who you pissed off this time  Undecided

Nobody pissed someone off.  It's summer, it's a bunch of script kiddies home from school and back at their parents' house with nothing to do.  I got hit briefly yesterday, and I've been continuing to get threatening emails demanding money (via LibertyReserve, lol) or else BTC Guild will go down again just like Deepbit.  Same shit as last year, except this time it's not as bad (last time they were able to take down all the major pools at once).  There's nothing any pool op can do but wait it out.

I'm hoping by now everybody at least learned to set MULTIPLE backup pools.  And hopefully they're not all pointed at the 4 largest pools because a larger threat could easily take down most of the Top 10 at once.

EDIT:  Looks like I pissed them off with my comment.

DDoS acts are criminal acts, mostly with a purpose. You don't need to piss so. off, this is a natural behaviour in our wrecked world.... Deepbit needs to take some prevention to lower the risk of being shut down by malicious minds.....

This whole bitcoin thing needs to develop legal character, so that we can invoke authorities when something like this happens.......

You can still "invoke" authorities , it doesnt matter what you host but the mere fact that the someone is DOS'ing the server is criminal enough on its own.

Is something going on with DB?  Pool rate has dropped below 1900 and my stale rate is going way up.  Also the website keeps timing out.
Yes, we are experiencing a DDoS attack.

ETA when were back up?

My miners are still connected and showing shares but I can't log in and connect to your main site at https://deepbit.net Any idea when this will be fixed?
This problem was solved many hours ago. What error do you see exactly ?

I get this error with IE (Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage) and this with firefox (Unable to connect Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at deepbit.net.)

All good now.

do we have an attack or connection problems? i see pool rate way done!
Yes, I noticed some problems and working on this. Hashrate is affected, but most users should be fine.

Do you experience any connection issues ? Is your hashrate lower than usual or you can't connect at all ?

I got a red warning screen saying the sites certificate was out of date. Now i can't connect at all.
Yes, this is expected, I used one old server with previous certificate. Should be updated soon.

If you can't connect - which IP address do you see when connecting ? Answer in PM please.

Okey Dokey Lokey
Could we please get the "block found in" status report to actually exsist? I would actually like to look at how frequently Deepbit finds a block, And weather or not ENITRE blocks could be just simply NOT added to that list, And allowing Tycho (good man, Im not sayin he would do this, Im just saying that he Could while the "block found in" stat is broken) or someone with highpower in deepbit to run off with 50bitcoins that people Other than him spent xyz hours hashing... And no, Im not sure that it would be easy to just Yank a block like that.. But i think it's possible, And even if it's not, I think the freaking "block found in" statistic has been down for long enough!
Bring it backonline already!

My recommendation:  Put up a placeholder/statement when luck isn't being shown, should reduce the question to every 5-6 diff changes instead of each one
Great idea, thanks :)
