i use this ... this model can control 3 rigs 57USD .... 6 rig models 90 USD ..... it will tell me more over WHAT RIG failed and ALSO measures their power usage AT WALL and calculates monthly EXPENSES and used kwh and so and so...

can be controlled remotely of course.

For one rig it would cost like 1/2 of that so its no point i guess
Anway those devices have long history so i dont think it would be problem.
Also for big farms 1 watchdog for 1 rig would be masacre
and here 1 watchdog + extender = 32 rigs.
Yeah cables are neseserry in "this" world

pesonaly having a single point of faliure for 8 pcs would be a no no for most admins, if there is an issue with your resetter thats 8 boxes down , I would rather have
separate hardware watchdogs for each machine.  Also running all those wires to 8 boxes would be more hassle than its worth imo

you should build individual watchdogs for each machine , at a lower price say $30 each and you could use less silicone and have less dependency. 

but doesnt it support 8 PC's and can be extended to +24 PC for twice than that ?
I could make 2 PC connectors adn use less parts - it would be cheaper but in that case it would cost 30$ + shipping 20$ so it would make no sense.
So i did for 8 PC's for higher price.
And this is spearate hardware so if PC will froze/crash it will seset it.
Does this usb watchdog works if computer will froze ?

just fyi there are usb watchdogs that do this and much more , let you check temps etc for $59 to $87
your prices have to be lower than this

I like the device. It's definitely useful  if someone have rigs far away from home BUT price... Let's say i miss the pre-order and want to buy it I would pay 140$ including shipping for just one device... I think that is just way to high especially if you take into consideration that most of issues you can fix with TimeViewer. I'm mining for quite some time and I don't remember when i had to go and restart rig manually...

How it works:
First you will need to connect SimpleRigResetter to motherboard of each rig (2 Power pins and 2 LED pins).
Then you will need to install small Agent software in windows or script in linux and set up SimpleRigResetter serial number and port that this rig is connected to.
This windows/linux agent software will send every few seconds small keepallive packets to SimpleRigResetter telling "I am allive, please dont reset me"
When SimpleRigResetter will not receive few keep allive messages within specified time (default 300 seconds) - it will turn off and turn on your rig automatically.
In my SimpleMiningOS there are special menu for enabling SRR Agent for rigs so it is even more simple
Beside normal reset function, there is also Long Reset function which powers down rig for more time (like 5 minutes) and then it turns it back on
