Tytanick - I have finally finished installing the SRRs and have some questions and assumptions below:
can you help go through and see if I did the correct steps. My setup is multiple SRR in one network/farm.
Thanks!

0. All of my rigs are on smOS. And I use the Windows SRR Tool to manage the SRRs.

1. If I am not using any Windows rigs to be connected to SRR, do I need to do anything in the "LOCAL AGENT" part in SRR Tool?

1. What is "PC Number" on Windows SRR Tool?

2. If I have multiple SRRs in the same network -- do I change the UDP port for each SRR?

3. My guess is that for watchdog to work, you have to have the Windows SRR Tool to be opened.... or watchdog is running in service background and will work even with Windows SRR Tool NOT launched?

4. I have renamed the SRR hostname according to my environment, and also changed the IP address to 10.88.88.1, 10.88.88.2 and so on.

5. I am using 1 single PC to launch 4 SRR Tool windows (because I am using 4 x SRRs on my farm)... on first SRR, I have installed the SRR agent in LOCAL AGENT. Pressing SAVE will enable WATCHDOG and "CONFIGURED with :00000x". Do I need to do the same process for the other SRRs? It doesnt seem to give me any option to install in setting up the 2nd SRR.

6. After installing and assigning the SRR details in smOS, I could fully control all rigs. Fast, long resets and powerdown, power on - no issues. If I choose watchdog delay = 0, the farm is stable and responding well to manual actions. However, when I put 250 seconds in watchdog delay, I can see several rigs are randomly going offline and online - I am assuming watchdog is working.... but seems strange that this happens whenever I choose 250 seconds max delay. For now I use watchdog delay =0 and it doesnt do anything .... and I am assuming watchdog is listening to all the rigs attached to the SRR unit.

7.

Tested SRR with 8 rigs connected. It works flawlessly in auto restart mode and manual management mode via remote desktop on smartphone.
I can manage my rigs when lying on a couch and eating potato chips.
Build quality is high, wooden backplate is decent and smells nice but some kind of enclosure would be even better.
Would recommend.

Tested SRR today, everything working fine. Good job, tytanick!

Is it possible to control SRR with windows tool from remote location, not only from local network?
Or maybe it is good to have tool, integrated into simpleminingOS, similar to SRR-Tool for windows.

Thanx.
Yep, there will be such things in some time Smiley

I am just starting to install the first few rigs to be managed by SRR.
Some pix to share.

Close up with 2 rigs controlled by SRR.

Plug in power.
Plug in Internet cable.
Plug in special cable to connect to your on/off pins/switch on motherboard.

Another SRR unit to manage RX rigs.

Windows based utility to manage the SRR.
Assign rig at smOS to slot # (above  1 thru 8, starting from top. I used slot#7 and slot#8)
Install Windows based utility and enter watchdog and long reset values.

Point to the rig and right button mouse to get the rig action - you can optionally disable watchdog and powerdown, power up, reset or long reset manually.

...
Thx for very detained observations Smiley

Time since last reset could be ok, also counter of resets woul be good idea.
Naming rigs - yep i know about that myself and we will be trying to implement those Smiley

1. Yep, this is what told me few people, i will do that for sure.

2. Yep, my friend likes doing VERY BIG applications Tongue - i guess he have this thing from other clients where outr applications needs to work on touch screens Tongue

3. My AV (nod32 eset) doesnt needed to be turned off but i didnt tested other AV.
Anyway yes, it needs Admin privileges becasue it must have access for installing Windows Service (agent)

About normal watchdog:
Normal watchdog kicks in when the rig is not responding for x amount of seconds.
I ccually am using period of 50 seconds. Linux from usb drive is booting in 20 seconds ( sometimes grub delay +30 seconds but i will disable this)
Anyway i need here range 30-60 seconds for me, thats why this parameter is in seconds.

About long reset.
Long reset on the other hand is for very rare cases when normal reset doesnt work and rig needs to be turned of for lets say 5-10 minutes and then powered back on.
Thats why here are minutes.

4. I dont want any warranty problems thats why i used quality components. Warranty is 2 years !
Ofcourse i could cut costs but i want this product to be perfect. I am not a guy who wants to shell cheap chineese shit just to earn.
Accually i still dont even have my production costs back.

Those notifications wont be SRR feature.
It needs to be software for linux/windows.
It will be feature in my SimpleMining OS soon (still dont know when)
Also MH reporting needs to be integrated in windows/linux agent.
This Agent will can do special checks before it sends keepallive packets.
And anyway when gpu is down, claymore miner resets rig automatically. options are: -r1 -wd 1

Also to do things:
- do all those little thing that i mantioned in my reply + web interface.

Will be installing this weekend - I am just back from out of town.

I installed 2 x SRRs, with 1 rig and 2 rigs. 2 different zones in the warehouse - before I left for the airport the other day.

So I havent deep dived into it except for some simple tests and observations.

Will complete the rest hopefully in the weekend for a full run and review at same time.

At first glance, my feedback to Tytanick as follows:

1. The watchdog timeout needs to be increased (user define amount of seconds is better than the default max 250 secs)

2. The Windows UI is easy, simple and practical - I like that. Perhaps can we add the rig name on those red/green bubble indicator. Other info on the bubble can be the uptime counter. This way, the UI will be truly a single dashboard for monitoring the farm at one glance.

2a. I did not test the Linux UI, since my Teamviewer is connected to the Windows workstations (as my primary remote access method from home) and its simpler for me to access all the tools from there without going to another OS platform.

3. During installation:

- I needed to turn off AV temporarily to allow the installation because the Windows UI need to be installed as Admin (Tytanick... is this about right or did I miss a few steps here)

- Without WD turned on, I can turn off and on the rigs attached to SRR at will. Very nice.

- WIth the WD turned on, the SRR and WD takes over as per WD timeout parameters. If long reset is defined then rig will be alive after the x minutes runs out.

- WD is set with "seconds" BUT long reset parameter is set with "minutes" -- maybe need to standardize to minutes or seconds for consistency.

4. Other observations:

- the quality build of the SRR and cables are very good. Having the plastic backplate for SRR is a good idea, because there are few components behind the board that look fragile.

- a tad too many blinking lights. Would prefer just a LED for on/off and Internet status/connectivity.

- the cable is very well built. I guess you can cut down cost by using cheaper better components in SRR v2 however, this early batch users  are lucky to get these heavy duty cables.

- I think we can improve the SRR even more, many possibilities here. I hope in future we can even do WD features to watch the hash rate thresholds in addition to "I am alive" only signalling.

- Monitor app for IOS and Android?

- email/SMS/whatsapp/telegram notifications?

- monitor for how many times each rig had been resetted (useful to identify problematic rigs or to isolate rigs that shows symptoms of PSU going bad for example)

5. I will going over to the warehouse later in evening when its cooler and will add more observations and some pictures.

Waiting for some reviews.  My setup is in my garage, but my summer power rates kick in  on June 1.

I have to either sell everything off in the next few months or  get an srr  and move the rigs to the solar array.

I would love to know if people like the srr.

Still haven't received mine
Once I have it I'll do a full review of it

I really would like to see a detailed review.

I am deciding on my farm upgrades  and knowing this srr works well  means a lot to my upgraded setup.

Received mine a few days ago but have been extremely busy with work.  Just connected this to a rig that freezes every once in a while on XMR.  I could not be happier.  The setup with Simplemining.net OS is seamless, the only thing you need to take note of is which slot number is associated with which rig upon connecting and then follow the easy PDF instructions.

I cannot wait until the extender boards are ready, I will be purchasing a setup for my 15+ rigs at OregonMines and will never have to have them reboot a rig for me again.

I will leave the in depth review for those far more experienced with mining, but as a fairly new miner, I could not be more fortunate that this came out so soon after I got into this hobby.

Nice to hear that Smiley
I also could not be hapier to came up with idea for making this product Smiley
I am also happy that everything is working !
If you guys have requests about some features regarding SRR, perhaps you need some feaature that is not there, just tell me Smiley

UPDATE:
As now we succesfully made project for Extension Boards.
In about 10 days we will have prototype of extender Smiley
