It is reported that during the COVID-19, the flow of blockchain gaming platforms increased significantly. As more and more people isolate themselves due to the COVID-19, game platforms around the world have experienced peak traffic. The intuitive factor for the growth of blockchain game traffic this time is the epidemic, but the real reason behind it is the demand for blockchain games.
There's a demand already, it has just increase now as traditional gamblers are introduce to crypto online gambling and they love platforms in crypto and that result to the adoption. We can consider what is happening now helps the us to introduce crypto gambling to traditional gamblers, and hopefully they will stay even when the pandemic is over.
With the less appearance of physical casino it is indeed online casino is in demand nowadays due to the pandemic. This makes more demand in online gambling since people can't go out too due to the lockdown. But I doubt if more people would stay to play in online gambling anymore if the pandemic is over, I'm sure they missed having someone to talk to when playing. It's like more people is excited about how to socialize to others.
And that is also a proof that gamblers can't hold of themselves even when there is a pandemic. They will choose to gamble instead of focusing their money in the essentials for their family Cheesy.

After this pandemic, probably there will be some who will stay in online gambling because they see it enjoyable and less hassle for them but still there are some who will go to a physical casino as they are more comfortable with many people around them. They can communicate with other people personally and maybe that is what makes them excited like you said.
Welp, that's the human nature they can't resist the urge to having someone to talk to or else they will go crazy. Lol

This pandemic just prove us that it can't stop people from having fun even though there are restrictions. This new normal might be a little tight to others but we'll still have to stick with it until the pandemic is over. Gamblers everywhere around the world are so eager to go to their favorite casino.

In my opinion crypto gambling is increasingly interested in COVID19 situations, because addicted gamblers who normally play physical casinos
will move playing crypto gambling. So it's different from other businesses that crypto gambling has a positive impact with COVID19, because
crypto gambling done online. Which during COVID19, everyone must be at home to prevent the spread of the virus. So automatic activity
mostly done online, including crypto gambling.

As you know, Covid-19 caused serious economic problems in the whole world, and a lot of industries got affected even indirectly, simply because people may now have less money to spend.

Actually as time passed by there is a harder and harder effect over the weeks since you post this the effect really goes wider and all the businesses and establishments falls down.

Quote
Do you think crypto gambling is one of such industries? Gambling is an expensive form of entertainment, and I would assume people will be gambling much less if they have lost their jobs due to lockdown. Or maybe there are some factors that counter that - like maybe crypto gamblers have deep enough pockets to sit through this quarantine and keep gambling.

Gambling can be called luxury game and will only fulfilled if we have much money to play with and because Jobs are forbidden these days?only few gamblers can spend time and money to play.

Quote

What do you think? What is your experience in these times?

But i think since even whales or millionaires has no other place to play?then Gambling online is blooming and making way to growth.
Yeah there are millionaires of people who are now good gamblers and are getting so much from gambling with crypto will surely never stop gambling but they will find some new ways to get their target so better keep gambling online if covid19 made you stay home after closing all the casinos just relax and gamble online with well-trusted website's and also play with different games.

I think quarantine has affected all areas of people's lives, not just gambling.

I also saw statistics that online gambling made a lot of revenue. But it seems to me that online gambling was available to those who had money or who did not lose their jobs. The rest suspended this gambling activity.
But the quarantine is not affecting online gambling because that is out from real life.
Online gambling makes a lot of money from the people who move from traditional gambling or physical gambling to online gambling. Still, since on the internet, we know that there are online crypto gambling and online gambling using fiat money, we don't know which website has made the biggest money.
Some countries decide to reopen their country so that they can allow physical gambling to start their business and make money again.
I am not expecting the new case of Covid-19 if the physical casino reopens.
When everything is closed then we cant really deny that online services or platforms did really have took the advantage since physical places had been temporarily closed down. Its affecting any sector not really just gambling industry. We cant say precisely that they indeed make money but to presume out that gamblers will surely switch on to online from physical since it isnt available but now that casinos are starting to open its doors once again then we would really expect that those traditional casino players will surely go back on where they've been used to.

Covid-19 affects everything in the world. However, crypto gambling can receive some positive impact from this pandemic. As you can see, many people have to take the quarantine and they can not do anything but staying at home. And due to that fact, many people will try to find some sorts of entertainments which requires the internet. Online gaming, crypto-gambling, and TikTok, they all become more famous as the world keeps struggling with this disease. And from the report on the Internet, the study has found that more people are engaging cs-go while they have nothing to do.

Therefore, despite no evidence of an increasing number in crypto gambling (most of the platforms are decentralized), I do believe that gambling does earn many benefits from this quarantine. After all, the Internet is our savior

Covid-19 has no effect on gambling but rather has increased the demand for gambling Because of the lockdown everyone is leaning towards online gambling without wasting time sitting at home. Many play for fun. But most people are participating in gambling to overcome the financial crisis The demand for crypto is increasing along with gambling Covid-19 hurts the country's economy but has no effect on crypto and gambling.

It is fact that suddenly the demand for the gambling during this pandemic times would have shoot up as many who could not visit the casinos due to lockdown might have moved to online and thus many gambling sites would have seen a huge traffic in lasts 2 months . Also we are seeing new bonuses , free spins etc offers are also being rolled out to attract more customers .

Do we have a data that would support this? Without which, either way is possible.

While the closure of land-based casinos may mean higher demand for online casinos, online casinos do not necessarily mean crypto casinos. If the traditional land-based casino gamblers will shift online, how likely it is that they would shift to crypto as well?

Also, the loss of jobs and the shutting down of businesses will likely hit a lot of gamblers, online and land-based. So there must be a lot of gamblers right now who are quitting for the time being or are reducing gambling expenses. That is a luxury that might be hard to maintain during this crisis.

I think so, because of this pandemic virus, we are all now jobless therefore we don't have that much money, even though we have saved money, we would not spend it for gambling, better to spend it for our daily needs like foods, hygiene, etc. instead of spending it on gambling. Most people are thinking that way because they don't want to be hungry. It's really hard if you don't have money in this current situation because the help of our government Is not quite enough to support and sustain the needs of their family.
Nowadays more and more gambling is online because offline gambling is no longer open due to the lockdown situation that occurs in that area so I think there is no influence on crypto gambling and I think this is increasing.
Well said, as of now online gambling is commonly used by the gamblers because casino gambling is now temporarily closed for the safety of everyone. We are doing online gambling because of boredom, or for entertainment, we have so much time at home and to spend in gambling is what we do sometimes.

I agree that there is a large rise in demand for online gambling, because the casinos are closed. A lot of people who play regularly in a physical casino can't do it anymore. So the only solution is to play online. Also, people have more spare time at the moment and a lot of people work from home, saving  time in commuting to work.

The only backlash from covid 19 would be that people are not so willing to spend a lot of money, I would assume that we see more gambling for smaller amounts than we have seen before

I think the effect was pretty much neutral. Even though people were stuck at home so out of boredom they could of gambled more, at the same time people lost their jobs and couldn't afford to gamble. Been part of Bitcointalk for the last 5-6 years or so and the only time that the gambling section or any BCT section was busy with newbies when during 2017-2018. In the past couple of months I didn't notice any new adoption to crypto or crypto gambling.

The only sector that did well in covid19 was the stock brokerages. Basically millions of people started trading for the first time with their phones and caused companies like Hertz to go up like crazy after they went bankrupt. There is a website called Robintrack which shows how many new positions were taken with a certain stocks and in the past 2 months there was like 1 million positions opened with the leadership top 10 stocks. Imagine how many it is all together with all brokerages.

Some online casinos as far as I know are affected.

It doesn't mean that they are an online casino, it doesn't mean that they don't need anyone managing the site. There are a lot of online sites that can't be managed well since workers are not allowed to go to their offices. Another thing is that since there are a lot of sports events that's been cancelled, the options to bet are limited.

I don't think so. It even helped to introduce to some people the blockchain and cryptocurrencies because of their habit in gambling. More people are now aware and they can use it to gamble online. Maybe some of them are now investing in crypto because they learned the potential of it in the future.

Any valid source? Gambling online is not always crypto-gambling.

People become more active in online gambling but do you really think more become an enthusiast of crypto-gambling online?"

And for a gambler, I doubt they really care for the potential on crypto by investing in it. They gamble to win, not to hold it for long.

The demand for crypto is increasing along with gambling Covid-19 hurts the country's economy but has no effect on crypto and gambling.

Let's face the fact that crypto is not helpful in a time like this. It can't use much for food delivery online, purchasing essential things, basic things since there is the only few merchant that accepting crypto payment that much directly.

Good thing there are exchangers that convert BTC to fiat. But not all countries, do have a service like this.

Online fiat payment is the one that most used today. More convenient and fast.

but we know that the search for Cryptocurrency because of lockdown so the implication of affecting the gambling world will also increased.

What i wanted to see is the graph about how each gambling sites increase this covid19 season.

It affects Crypto gambling in positive and negative ways, but it's more on a positive because those who are playing in the gambling casinos are shifting to online casinos and there was a study about that, people have a lot of time to play or gambling online because of the pandemic, on the negative side since a lot of industries are closed not everyone can play on whatever they have they have to allocate first for their basic needs and only use what remains on the budget.

i think that pretty much summarizes what happened during this pandemic. online casinos gain some new users, but other players have their tight budget, that they need to secure their basic needs first. but i think generally speaking, its more on the positive side as many people are stuck in their homes, they have nothing to do but spend more time online and gambling is one of the entertainment platforms that they can easily accustomed to

We don't hope that if many people playing online gambling will make them addicted to gambling because they have a lot of time to play gambling at their home. They can play gambling anytime they want, but they must know that playing gambling is only for fun purposes and don't use gambling as a source of income because we already know that many people lost their job because of this pandemic. People should use the internet to search for a new way of making money so they can have a chance to buy their basic needs such as food, drinks, vitamin, fruits, and else.

The current health issue is changing a lot not only in gambling but everything we have before and having a new normal this time.

Most likely before we saw a lot of people go to casinos, sports live games but everything has changed now. Instead of seeing them roam around, they'll keep themselves at home and gamble online. That is why we could see the massive growth of online gamblers compared before COVID-19 and the lockdown. But the worse thing that I may see this is will cause more gambling addiction.

To see there is a positive effect but also creating a negative result. Now that people are getting lazy to go outside because they'll keep gambling.
