So far gambling has not completely stopped just because of this epidemic and yes,
Especially for crypto-based gambling, the pandemic at least has an impact on sports betting that has been suspended. In general, other games will continue as usual and there may be an increase in the transition from sports bets to other bets.

So even though the reduced income still won't stop every gambling addict, because as long as they or the gambling addicts still have money they will be ready to bet even in this Covid-19 pandemic and that is very worrying.
Only heavy addicts have a habit of continuing to gamble under any circumstances and they like to make gambling where they make money. We dont need to worry about that, gambling is each others decision without coercion.

As you know, Covid-19 caused serious economic problems in the whole world, and a lot of industries got affected even indirectly, simply because people may now have less money to spend.

Do you think crypto gambling is one of such industries? Gambling is an expensive form of entertainment, and I would assume people will be gambling much less if they have lost their jobs due to lockdown. Or maybe there are some factors that counter that - like maybe crypto gamblers have deep enough pockets to sit through this quarantine and keep gambling.

What do you think? What is your experience in these times?
All of industries are heavily affected on this one yet we know that quarantine which do made these industries doesnt generate any income because of the absence of people into a particular platform or place which is understandable but there are things that can still be done online like online casinos which are still continuing to operate amidst with the current pandemic situation.People who do play on physical places might consider this option while waiting for things to be resolved just to ease their leisure or want to gamble. It just a matter of choice and capacity though because not all would really have that
fund into their pockets to play while in a crisis, lucky for those who are rich but not for the average or lower ones.

Crypto gambling and online gambling is not the same, crypto gambling is just a subtype of the latter, and it's likely only a very small piece of it. When people who used to go to brick and mortar casinos google "online casino", they likely won't get any crypto-related results, and unless they dig deeper or are already aware of crypto side, they'll probably never now about it. So, I really doubt that the coronavirus had positive effect on this industry.

it boils down to individual demographics. crypto gamblers who weren't too adversely affected economically hit the tables more, being shut in by the quarantines. SwC Poker had noticeably more traffic in april than march. they ran a quarantine poker series to capitalize on people staying home.

with spring weather in full swing though and the lockdowns being lifted, traffic seems to be lightening up again. our 2nd bitcointalk poker series which started last week brought out ~ 1/3 less players this time. hopefully that improves but we'll see. SwC is ending their quarantine series this week after a couple tourneys didn't reach their guarantees, which also tells me their traffic is dipping back down.

So far gambling has not completely stopped just because of this epidemic and yes, at least the crypto gambler still holds some crypto in his wallet and that means gamblers who use crypto are still very likely to bet at the casino and also, even in my environment there are still a few places for some people get together and they really gamble. So even though the reduced income still won't stop every gambling addict, because as long as they or the gambling addicts still have money they will be ready to bet even in this Covid-19 pandemic and that is very worrying.

In my opinion, crypto gambling is affected positively due to COVID-19.
As traditional casinos are closed due to lockdown and social distancing measures, people have started turning to online casinos and crypto casinos in order to savor their casino desires.
That's right, traditional casinos have been closed since the lockdown took effect and many gambling lovers are now turning to online casinos because it is one of the gambles that can be played at the moment but only sports gambling is not available due to being stopped due to this pandemic.
But casinos and poker are now becoming a lot of buried gamblers to play but we must be able to play with a quiet time and of course this to eliminate the sense of boredom at home.

No need to create a new topic for this discussion imho since there are some other topic with the same discussion in this board. One of the topis is Corona virus (COVID19) Effect in Cryptocurrency Gambling and there are still some other topics related to covid19 vs crypto gambling. So better to lock this thread to avoid repepetive posts for the same discussion.
I agree with you...
discussing things that already exist is a waste of time. it is clear that this outbreak greatly affected crypto gambling, especially sports betting, all major games were canceled but good news came to online casinos that experienced an increase in players due to this outbreak.

We have no data to check what is the real picture but based on my observation, people still playing and will continue to play, it's not a world war scenario it's a stay home scenario, where people are locked in their home and they can do what they want to do they have all the time, it's all up on if they have the money to spend playing, I guess some have it, and some do not.

For Covid-19 epidemic, there are so many people are forced to stayed at home, for this reason online traffic is growing rapidly. Not only gambling, it impacts on Online based dating, games, cinemas, learning platforms and online based adult industry too. Since people can't go to the casino, this is a huge opportunity for online gambling platforms to attract the visitors who are stuck at home for lockdown.  Now a days I've noticed that too many players are started to enter in online poker rooms.

Tables are turned I guess. In the previous years, the traditional casinos are the ones that earnings big but Covid19 had changed it. When the virus made us all stay at home for safety, people didn't just look for safety but also entertainment and gamblers turn to online casinos, I doubt many of them will return to physical casinos. The internet win and cryptocurrency technology are leading all these to happen.

Economic problems in the world are different world were expected, we just waited something to happen to show the true power of global economy and how shallow it is! Wholes from before are now bigger and there's nothing that can stop current economy from falling apart! But of course governments and banks will try to save it with our own money! Bailing out is just for big ones!

But we in crypto are in the same position as before, we know what we have, we are looking for ways to earn more, we are spending crypto on trading or gambling, and there's always some coins for that What pandemic did to us, nothing we just had more time to be here online! At least for me, and as I can see many others. We made a great bitcointalk tournament, and we played series 1 and started second series, feel free to join us! Smiley We can make even better and bigger tournament!

Based on the results of my investigation covid-19 has a positive effect on crypto gambling. It's true that many people lose their jobs,
but for Gambling crypto the user is increasing. Because most countries impose lockdowns, it makes some people feel bored after a few
weeks of going nowhere. And gambling oline can be a solution to eliminate burnout, because crypto gambling is an entertainment in
a situation like now and also playing crypto gambling does not have to use large capital. Enough with $ 10 can start crypto gambling.

I think for some crypto gamblers who gamble regularly, Their gambling activities didn't change even if there's lockdown because they are used to play online. For crypto gambling businesses I think they gained more users than before because some players temporarily switched to online gambling since physical casinos are closed. And for the gambling experience, I expect that nothing has changed even though the traffic is more due to new gamblers playing it would probably not affect the gambling experience of the gamblers.

^ There will an effect but not too much. Because there are some gamblers did not have a source of income or revenue and they probably cant sustain to gamble in a long period of time. During this self-quarantine isolation is quite boring and gambling is the best alternative to have fun but I think those people who can afford to gamble even are in an economic crisis. Nevertheless, we don't cant gather data analysis because those using crypto to gamble are anonymous.

The pandemic of COVID-19 don't have any negative effect on crypto gambling because it is the reason why more gamblers put a lot of time in playing crypto casinos, since most of them temporarily don't have any jobs they have more time to enjoy themselves to play gambling through online.
So if they don't have any job because they businesses are temporarily close they don't have money to use in playing.
They have a little effect on the bad side but they have more good side on the crypto gambling because of people bored and they are plaher of traditonal gambling for sure they will play gambling by using of crypto.

Good thing about the gambling industry is that it was not closed in the covid-19 situation. People could easily play gambling online.
However I am not sure if people were able to spend a lot of money on gambling because in this covid-19 situation people have lost their jobs and businesses and therefore they might have less money to gamble.

Why crypto casinos will grow is because people does not consider it as a form of entertainment, they gamble because they want to win, and these gamblers exists even if there is a crisis, the word entertainment seems like an expense for the gamblers, they are more concern on the income side, so they will gamble because they think they can earn.

It's real that everyone is suffering and have to tighten up their budget for important things to survive while we're in this pandemic. But, as it's getting longer and longer, most people that find this lockdown boring might look for some activities to do to enjoy their stay.

They might not be full time gamblers but they are gamblers at heart. And people like them are willing to spend a certain amount just to fulfill themselves. I think the badly most affected are the physical casinos as they are not allowed to operate.
