It is reported that during the COVID-19, the flow of blockchain gaming platforms increased significantly. As more and more people isolate themselves due to the COVID-19, game platforms around the world have experienced peak traffic. The intuitive factor for the growth of blockchain game traffic this time is the epidemic, but the real reason behind it is the demand for blockchain games.
There's a demand already, it has just increase now as traditional gamblers are introduce to crypto online gambling and they love platforms in crypto and that result to the adoption. We can consider what is happening now helps the us to introduce crypto gambling to traditional gamblers, and hopefully they will stay even when the pandemic is over.
With the less appearance of physical casino it is indeed online casino is in demand nowadays due to the pandemic. This makes more demand in online gambling since people can't go out too due to the lockdown. But I doubt if more people would stay to play in online gambling anymore if the pandemic is over, I'm sure they missed having someone to talk to when playing. It's like more people is excited about how to socialize to others.

As you know, Covid-19 caused serious economic problems in the whole world, and a lot of industries got affected even indirectly, simply because people may now have less money to spend.

Actually as time passed by there is a harder and harder effect over the weeks since you post this the effect really goes wider and all the businesses and establishments falls down.

Quote
Do you think crypto gambling is one of such industries? Gambling is an expensive form of entertainment, and I would assume people will be gambling much less if they have lost their jobs due to lockdown. Or maybe there are some factors that counter that - like maybe crypto gamblers have deep enough pockets to sit through this quarantine and keep gambling.

Gambling can be called luxury game and will only fulfilled if we have much money to play with and because Jobs are forbidden these days?only few gamblers can spend time and money to play.

Quote

What do you think? What is your experience in these times?

But i think since even whales or millionaires has no other place to play?then Gambling online is blooming and making way to growth.

I think that crypto gambling should have been rising as people are sitting at home doing nothing and a lot of them are holding a lot of their crypto and loosing hope on a bull run... perfect combination for spending some crypto by gambling (and note that for a lot of people crypto is not on the same mind compartment as "true" money)
And you are safe from the virus at the same time...  Grin
It still needs more time to see crypto gambling rising because people can not accept crypto as soon as possible. I think people need to think about crypto itself, and they need to learn more about crypto so they can understand how to use crypto. If they already know about crypto, and they found a gambling website by coincidentally, I think that can encourage them to try to play crypto gambling. Maybe we will see the number of people who play crypto gambling will increase, but still, we don't know how many people who gamble using crypto.

It is possible that the increase in new users on gambling sites, both crypto and fiat gambling sites is caused because they have to stay at home. People are too stressed at home and gambling is the solution for those who like to spend money for pleasure.

Only by staying at home, you will reduce the burden on the government and health workers in terms of reducing the incidence of infection and you are free to do anything while at home including gambling. Remember that during a pandemic many people need more saving money, so its better to manage the amount of money that will be spent gambling each month is something to consider.

I feel like this corona pandemic lockdown made the crypto gambling industry to boost up more from their past because people no need to visit casinos and also they will not be having any issues if they olay on gambling sites which has no KYC policies.

One who is living their life from their monthly salary and having gambling as their regular habit got affected but as you said its expensive form of entertainment so more people who got money will be spending online for now.

Yup, it increased the profits for sure especially due to lockdowns.

People were made to stay at home and work online so they were able to do things they weren't able to during work. Like you wouldn't be able to gamble at work because someone might come in and catch you.

Also in many workplaces casinos and porn sites are blocked and you can't even access them or get a warning if you're found doing it. At home you're free to do whatever you want.

Every domain was affected but gambling was hard affected as there were no games or sports playing during this period besides some Esports tourney but most of the gamblers have no idea about Counter Strike, Dota , LoL or Overwatch leagues so they did not attract a lot of new gambles but instead a lot of gamblers start using online casinos.

In my country the gamble agencies will reopen only one month from now so if you're not using a visa or paypall, skrill , you have no option to gamble on sports, even now when Bundesliga and a few other league are back.

It is the start of the month June and still people are gambling like nothing happened on online casinos. New casinos are coming up everyday and new games which are mostly PvC type.

The difference is only that EV+ games have reduced but with soccer games coming soon we might see reopening on sports betting as well. For now it is just eSports and if you are not a fan of those or have prior experience in them, dont go for them. Of course a wise gambler would know that already.

Also people have less money in their pockets now. So it would wiser to save up for essential costs. Many people have lost their jobs too. Sad

This scenario demonstrates that no matter what situation we have or whatever crisis we are in, online casinos will thrive as people from all walks of life can access it anytime, anywhere. Only thing is that, most of those players that are relying on their salary are having their tight budget to nothing at all during this pandemic. Yet, even if they say they are in budget, they still can allot a lil bit to spend on their gambling habits. This is where casinos are capitalizing at, those gambling addicts that will play no matter the situation is.
Its just sad to think that they are still trying out their best to play even if their salary or money is just really enough for their daily needs.Well, this is
how gambling addicts do make such dumb decisions as long they can feed out their leisure on playing gambling and thats the priority on their mind most of the
time.Covid pandemic indeed affect crypto gambling both casinos houses and players itself but still we can access it through online which means
people do still have that option and now that casino physical places already open their doors then situation would even more rampant.

Well, these probably are the ones whose either addicted to gambling already and they can't help themselves and pandemic isn't enough to stop them Cheesy or they are just hoping that gambling can give some money for them to be use to buy some essentials - in short they are risking their money thru gambling. Can't blame them but it would be better if they will stop gambling right now and focus on buying essentials and find another job either online (better) or offline if they can go out and work.

Also people have less money in their pockets now. So it would wiser to save up for essential costs. Many people have lost their jobs too. Sad
With the establishments being closed worldwide for more than a month, the pockets of the employees and those who are working are empty unless they have emergency funds which is I recommend for those who are working. I'm saving up some money too so that I can buy some essentials that will help us to survive in this pandemic.

Well, I believe that those were the only two possibilities on how does covid-19 affect crypto gamling worldwide. Covid-19 might made crypto gamblers be out from gambling for a while because it became a pandemic, maybe they thought that it will be the best option to stay away from it and fund their money for emerygency purposes and for food and other necessary things that they will be using under quarantine. Because of that, a lot of gamblers maybe stopped for a while. On the otherhand, due to gamblers are off from work, and they do have a lot of money to spend with, and they are crypto gamblers, they had a lot of time to gamble. If a lot of them did that, it will make crypto gambling to become steady as it is because they filled those holes left by those who are out on fambling for a while. Or maybe crypto gambling went higher because there are a lot of gamblers that are at home gambling from time to time.

In my opinion, COVID19 affected crypto gambling but not a directly affected.

Most of the gamblers right now can't go to work since there is a lockdown in their place. Since they can't work, they have no monthly salary for 1-2 months already. They have no salary means they don't have any funds to be use for crypto gambling. Since most of the gamblers can't gamble right now, the daily profit of the owners of these crypto gambling sites are affected and decreased.

It is not affected directly by the virus but the fact that it affected the gamblers since they have no source of income for a month or two is the proof that it really is affected.

There are probably more crypto gamblers affected by the current crisis than those whose pockets are deep enough they need not worry about the pandemic at all. Gambling is a luxury many people must have set aside for now in favor of the more necessary expenses. This is my experience right now especially because the end of this crisis is still not in sight pending vaccine success.

Basic necessities doesn't matter for those who still itching to gamble because they still have enough money to survive for many years even with the pandemic and lockdown. Since most gamblers are rich and some are in the middle class. Not to mention they are into cryptocurrency, I assume they have enough money to risks in investing in cryptocurrency.
Nevertheless, you are right, let's set aside these vices for now. Let's help the needy first at this very moment.

There are surely people who are not affected by the crisis brought by the covid pandemic.

I don't agree that most gamblers are rich. That is not what many available data on the subject show us. Majority of the world's gamblers are poor. Gambling is especially rampant in poor and depressed communities.

You're right, if rich people can have the luxury to gamble during this crisis, they might be able to help the needy also. But it's their freedom.

What do you think?

If you need to evaluate about today, I think that interest in online gambling services will increase and services that provide cryptocurrencies and gambling services will be more preferred. Especially during this period when physical casinos are closed, many gamblers will prefer to continue gambling online. In the long term, I think that if this quarantine process gets longer, people will gain the habit of playing gambling online and the interest in such services will remain at such high levels in the future. In this process, it will be very easy to give people this habit, I think the services in the gambling industry should make good use of this opportunity. Who knows, perhaps the next trend will be online gambling services, and physical casinos will lose current market power.

Personally, I can still afford to buy my needs and still have a little budget for extra entertainment but thinking wisely, I will prefer not to gamble.  I want to use this extra money practically or save this in case of an extended lockdown or emergency. I'm thinking of only going back to gambling if everything started going back to normal. So to answer your question, yes, it made me stop gambling for a while since I have my priorities I need to think first than gambling.
Of course we must be able to save in our finances because if we bet with existing money it will be difficult too if the lockdown is extended later with that policy we must think that entertainment with gambling is not right at that time except tips on having lots of money then it's up to you because with enough money will certainly make us calm.

'Re Like people we are just barely satisfied in need while saving is one to survive during this pandemic so I am the same as you stop for a moment to gamble using money needs.

We can only spend our money for the needs and it's really hard to think about gambling, because people couldn't come out to work and earn money. What has left was minimal saving to feed the family as well as having that money for survival while every community was on quarantine. Those scenarios is the key factors why crypto gambling couldn't be patronized at 100% by now, due to ongoing financial crisis of every individuals.

The middle class and the lower class person are badly affected by covid 19 lock down and they find it difficult to meet their daily needs. In these situation they can't even think of playing gambling. However, this does not mean that gambling business is down, those who are rich are still playing and enjoying online gambling.

This COVID-19 makes the whole casino gambling temporarily closed because they are lessening the risk of spreading the virus and as we all know if we are in the casino gambling, it is so crowded, there are many people inside the casino so if they still allow casino gambling to open there would be a lot of gamblers that will still play and the social distancing would not be seen in the casino.

Online gambling is now being popular, to avoid boredom at home we tend to do something, and play g online games is one of the common things we are doing because it finds so entertaining and it is also a way of making money.

But always be careful when gambling because it is like trading and investing, we are taking the risk, we may lose and we may win, so we really need a big capital when doing so.

I think crypto gamblers are the least hit by the crisis. Most of the crypto gamblers have good money to spend and most of them may have backup crypto saved which they can use during this time. The same cannot be said for fiat gambling as people tend to spend their money through their daily living and I think have less money to spend on gambling compared with crypto gamblers.
